    Instead of configuring both slots of a yubikey for corresponding databases, it would be more useful to share a single slot between both DBs.

    Really cool tutorial! But i guess it might have changed, or my keepass is different somehow because nothing happens if i put the file in my plugin folder... the OTP/TOTP are greyed out in the program and nothing happens after i restart it (the options do not show up) also, based on the keepass website help/v2/plugins, it says this about this type of plugins : "KeePass supports two plugin file formats: DLL and PLGX. A DLL plugin is loaded directly, whereas KeePass needs to compile a PLGX plugin to a DLL plugin first, which is then stored in a plugin cache (see the section below)." then below it says : "PLGX plugins (not DLL plugins) are compiled and stored in a plugin cache directory on the user's system. " By default, the plugin cache is located in the user's local application data directory (%LOCALAPPDATA%\KeePass\PluginCache). but that folder does not exist at all for me! I just checked and I have the latest version... so i'm unsure what i should try next :)

    Hi, thanks a lot for the video, I wanted to ask you about a type of configuration I'm trying to do, I'm trying to do the same thing you explain in the video but using an external DHCP server, I manage to get my user to authenticate but I can't get it to acquire an IP address from the DHCP, if I use the same wireless network but instead of RADIUS I use a WPA2 password, I do get an IP address from the external DHCP server, do you have any idea what could be happening? Sorry my English is not good, greetings.

      I think it's something to do with permissions on your Synology NAS... If you go in to Control Panel > Users & Groups and then click 'Edit' on the user that your using to do backups and make sure that 'User Groups' shows that user as being both administrators and users. Then under 'Permissions' for that same user check that all folders have 'Read/Write' access set and the same for 'Applications' for that user, make sure they are all set to 'Allow' Let me know how you get on!

    Hello brother, I have a doubt, what would happen if I lose or my yubikey is stolen, it is the only one with which I unlock my KeePassXC base. I was reading the documentation and it suggests me to make a copy of the HMAC secret that is stored in the YubiKey. Is it the same 20 bytes hex. key that you gave in the "generate" button? Could you help me or make a video. Great video by the way:)

    • @MrTimTech2022
      @MrTimTech2022 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi, There's some comments here in this thread about copying to another Yubikey. It's best practice to have a 2nd Yubikey in case your 1st one gets lost/stolen/damaged. Yes you copy the HMAC Secret to the 2nd Yubikey which should then give you a duplicate. Follow that when it's generated and then copy and paste to the 2nd Yubikey, then of course test it to make sure it works ok and you're good to go.

    • @MrTimTech2022
      @MrTimTech2022 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks Andy, as the Yubikey uses 1 of the 2 HMAC sections on the Yubikey you can still use that along with MFA generation as MFA is stored in a different section of the Yubikey, have a look at this diagram and it will show you where things are stored within a Yubikey - developers.yubico.com/Developer_Program/Guides/yk5features.png There's 2 storage slots as you see, so you can use one of the unused slots to store the generated key for KeePass

    How do you create tagged multiple VLANs between dream machine pro to ubiquity switch through sfp ports pls can you show

    • @MrTimTech2022
      @MrTimTech2022 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It's wise not to tag traffic on the SFP ports as normally you would want the traffic between the UDM and USW using the SFP+ port to be untagged so that it allows 'ALL' traffic to pass between the router and switch as the UniFi Network Controller on the UDM would not be able to manage devices. Is there a specific reason why you want to do that ?

Anyway to answer your question it's from rackcabinets.co.uk and it's an 'Orion 12U FS Rack Cabinet 600mm x 600mm'. Hope that helps and you're able to purchase from your location.

      @MrTimTech2022 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I suspect you might have missed one of the steps from my video. If you enter the IP address in the internet browser address bar without ':8123' what happens ? If it loads your NAS page then the IP address is correct. If it does not load your NAS page then you might probably have the wrong IP address or maybe a firewall rule is blocking access, maybe you have it in another VLAN. Also check that the Docker Container for Home Assistant has a green dot against it's name to show it's loaded and running.

    Thanks for putting a DAC cable between UDM and USW. Biggest upgrade. And did you notice that a U-space are always specific holes? You left a ⅓U between the devices. You might want to align your devices some time.

      Hi, thanks for the comment re DAC cable. I have always left my devices with 1 hole space between devices to allow extra air flow, it's just a personal preference I think. @@MrTimTech2022 You have seen that you have two bigger spaces betweent the holes and then a small space between holes? You suppose to align them correctly. And some devices cool better when stacked together. Internal fans will pull the air through it and the air in that 1-hole space that you keep between it will contain still standing air. No extra cooling there. Lot's of people think that way, but it's a misconception. Thanks again for the DAC.

    I have several YubiKeys and they all work fine with KeePassXC long as you copy the secret over. The way I did mine is soon as all the keys are configured and verified to be working I simply not save the secret anywhere as the whole point is to ensure that the YubiKeys are the only way to open your KeePassXC database.

    i was looking how to connect the UDM to each switch, the problem is, i have 8Gbit internet speed and i need to use 1 SFP+ on the UDM as WAN connection, than i have only 1 SFP+ left to connect to the USW aggregation, behind that i have also a USW Pro 16 . is it better to go first from UDM to the Aggregation and than to the USW Pro 16, or first to the Pro 16 and than to the Aggregation ?

    • @MrTimTech2022
      @MrTimTech2022 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey thanks for your comment. Wow that's certainly a good WAN connection speed. Understood re the UDM connections and that you have it connected to the Aggregation. To answer your question it's always best to connect both your UDM and USW both in to the Aggregation so that the Aggregation sort of acts as a junction box. Then your Aggregation can either route traffic to the UDM or USW depending on where it's going to. Hopefully this makes sense. So to conclude it's best not to daisy chain them in a row. Take care!

    why is so hard for consumers to buy these? It seems like they don't want to sell their products except through very small distributers who usually sell to resellers who are in the phone system or specialty markets. CDW was the only "normal" place but they don't have the Grandstream GWN7665. Why do they not want consumer customers and home labbers? Anyone know where to buy the GWN7665 at a reasonable price?

      I have had a very similar frustrating experience - They are most definitely not easy to set up or manage - My FIDO2 Pass Code became corrupted - and their help line was useless in helping me to resolve the problem - I don't think the guy on their helpline actually understood the damned thing - I have, like most people, only an average ability as far as computer technology is concerned - but Yubioco thinks that everyone uising their product is a computer technician. Its like buying a new car - you know how to do the regular maintennance - but if you bought a Yubico car they would expect you to be capable of re-building the engine and checking the gapping of the piston rings ! There must be other products out there which are more user friendly !!
