Clear Saturday morning landing at NYC's La Guardia airport on the famous Expressway visual approach to runway 31.
What aircraft?
captain sounds rlly old
How are you able to see aircraft landing? I cant, and some of the terminals arent showing the full amount of traffic
Hello. I was able to purchase this but where do we find the liveries and aircraft at? Can you send me a link please? Thank you!
Is the audio from the actual flight sim or did you overlay with real life audio?
Real life audio from a CRJ flight.
Why did TAP Airlines A321 vanish?
hey how are you what is the reason that this airport is only good in the usa reagion like at omdb with historic data it is only giving me 33 aircrafts
Superbly done, ATC, very immersive.
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it!
Stunning. Nice job with the real-time traffic - is it hard on performance? Thanks
Thanks! Performance wise it’s not too bad, but PSX gives you the option of limiting the radius of which you want the traffic to be displayed in the sim. This way if you’re in a congested area, you can change it from the standard 40NM radius to a 10NM radius for instance and it will reduce the amount of AI displayed in the sim. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the comment!
@@fulano86 Thanks for the reply. Will have to give it a try - looks like a nice alternative to VATSIM if I just want to see traffic around
@@iaexo What I really enjoy is seeing realistic traffic flow regardless of using LiveATC or not. It’s satisfying seeing traffic follow SIDS, STARs and real finals. The links for the software are in the description if you’re interested.
@@fulano86 Thanks! If you don't mind me asking - how is the performance with and without the traffic injection? I'm worried about how it will affect my performance (as I don't have a PC as powerful as yours) - want to make sure it doesn't cause too many CTDs before I fork out the money for RealTraffic (PSXT seems to be free, which is nice). Thanks!
@@iaexo I would have to check, but if you’re using AIG already, that should work as a good benchmark. I’m only using AIG aircraft models to display PSXT AI. Also, if you consider it worth a try, RealTraffic offers a one month option for a reasonable price, and this way you’d be able to get first hand experience how it performs in your sim.
Hi Great Video your presentation is superb, Two Questions,Did you switch the radio panel in the sim to get the correct Live Atc Feed ? If so how did you do that, I just go to Live Atc website , also how do you block out aircraft? Many Thanks Paul
Thanks for your comment! Unfortunately LAAP is not compatible with MSFS, so I use VLC media player to play the atc feed. I have most frequencies downloaded already from LiveATC.net. And there’s a tab in PSXT where it allows you to block out a call sign. If you look at 1:16 in the video, I demonstrate how to do it.
Great stuff! I also use PSXT and Real Traffic, along with "commandeering" an existing tail number. However, I still don't understand how you are coordinating live ATC, especially with the delay. Doesn't it get out of sync? Also, if your simulated aircraft is just a little slower or faster than the real world aircraft, won't that result in uneven spacing between aircraft in front and behind you going into a place like KLGA? Thanks for the correspondence!
I use VLC media player for live atc, and there is an option under Tools-Track synchronization, where you can set a delay of however many seconds you want to make it match with RealTraffic. This way everything syncs up perfectly. I use a delay of 30 seconds. I don’t do it with every atc frequency, usually only the last approach controller before being cleared for the approach. I hope this answers your question.
@@fulano86 - thank you so much! I’ll try it!
Fascinating video showing smooth CRM while landing at a busy airport. Thank you!
Thanks for watching! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Hello sir love your videos. Quick question, let’s say you fly out from KCLT to KLGA, do you use live act the whole time while departing that airport out to KLGA or no? I noticed your blocked traffic while you were In the air and wondering if typically that flight is blocked prior to departure. When you block the flight, does it disappear and not collide with you in the air? Also do you just take a random flight from an airport of your choice and that the airlines actual flight number? Thanks again
Thank you! It all depends, usually the entire flight isn’t covered by LiveATC.net, but there are certain routes that are fully covered. Boston to any of the New York airports can be flown with full atc service. Sometimes I fly an entire route without Atc, and then tune in to approach at the end and pick an airplane that ATC is working from the direction I’m flying in, block that call sign and just take those ATC instructions all the way to the ground. And yes, once you block that call sign, PSX deletes it from the sim, and you won’t collide with it. It’s really cool, and if you’re into making your sim immersive, PSX+RealTraffic is the way to go.
@@fulano86 awesome! I really appreciate the reply and feedback. Definitely will take everything you stated into great consideration. Thank you so much and keep the videos coming!
@@fulano86 Thanks for the video. What you have shown is exactly what I have been trying to do, without success, ie. synchronize my arrival. I now partly understand based on your answer above, I can just pick any arriving flight really as opposed to the one I departed with. But then, how do you somewhat precisely match your position with this arrival aircraft? In this video, you started already positioned just over the real delta 2469. You also appeared to have the sim on pause, whereas the real delta 2469 obviously cannot do that.
@@NoHandle689x thanks for commenting and glad you liked the video!

@@fulano86 man thanks for the reply keep the videos coming i love real traffic is amaizing
Hi Lovely video I use this full combination on MS2020 and its brilliant , one question how do you get your aircraft and real world traffic on the EFB is that just for the Labs ? Many Thanks
I’ve been exploring MSFS as well, but I’m dearly missing the FSLABS, and while the FENIX looks great, unfortunately it’s incompatible with PSXT and RealTraffic right now. The EFB on the FSLabs has a live map option where the traffic around you is shown. Thanks for your comment!
@@fulano86 Thank you The Fenix Works perfectly well with PSXT and Real Traffic ,I just cant use that old P3D the graphics look terrible compared to 2020 but thank you for your answer great video!!
@@paullee3885 I agree with you, the visual difference between the two simulators is very noticeable. I’ve been unable to get the TCAS working with PSXT and RealTraffic in the FENIX, although it works with stock AI and supposedly VATSIM as well. This unfortunately has been a deal breaker for me, and although they did reply to my support ticket that they were going to look into it, nothing has been done yet. Hopefully soon though!
@@fulano86 How weird works very well for me full TCAS working with Fenix ;-) hope you get it sorted going to try your approach soon as well !!
How do you get real ATC?
I use a little freeware called LAAP. Unfortunately it doesn’t work with MSFS, but works great with P3D.
GREETINGS!!!!!!!!!!!
Incredible… that was very well done
Thank you, new video uploaded as well!
I don’t think I have ever seen someone utilize real atc and mimic it in the sim. This is exactly how I use the sim trying to find and use real world schedules.Awesome video hope you get around to making some more videos in the future. I just picked up real traffic and psx. Such a great set of tools, never thought to use live atc to follow along definitely gonna try this!
Thanks for the comment! Once you get the hang of how to use PSXT and RealTraffic, you can never go back to flying without it. I’m slowly migrating to MSFS but I’m hoping to be uploading more videos this upcoming week.
@@fulano86 you will enjoy MSFS I migrated over from P3D after I saw they had an airbus on par with fslabs. It was hard to say bye after way too much money spent on p3d but you will not regret it, the visuals alone are worth the switch! The weather is the only thing that needs work asobo has yet to release the SDK for the wx but supposedly they are planning on it for SU10 so it shouldn’t be long. Enjoy the new simulator and thanks again for the awesome video! I liked the longer length many content creators make there vids to short(must be the short attention span of most people)
@@jeremyharris9648 MSFS has really come alive with these new addons, however I'm waiting for the FENIX to be updated since the TCAS is not compatible with PSXT yet. The visuals and the fluidity is really nice on MSFS, and I can't wait for FSLABS to bring their products to the platform as well as GSX, and hopefully ActiveSky once the SDK allows for weather to be touched.
Have you figured out how to install LAAP on MSFS 2020?
@@websterking7719 I have not yet figured it out, but what I’ve done instead is download the frequencies I’ve been using and just tune in to the new frequencies accordingly. But I definitely wish there was an update for MSFS.
Can I apply this traffic in X Plane 11?
Check out the website rtweb.flyrealtraffic.com/, there is information on how to make it work with X Plane there.
Thank you very much!
How are you getting ground traffic at newark? Using msfs and on my end the transponders are being turned off/on on the runway.
Honestly, I’m using P3D so I’m not 100 percent sure how it translates to MSFS. Maybe try reinstalling RealTraffic.
Does it work with ms2020 in the same way? I had tried it when the trial was still free and it was full of problems
I know it’s compatible with MSFS, however I have not tried it out yet to a greater extent. If you check out the AVSIM forum for PSX, there’s a lot more information available there.
@@fulano86 They don't say much about it, very old posts !!
Excellent, video! Perhaps add a few links to all the tools you've used to make this work?
Absolutely, I’ll post links in the description later today. I also have more videos coming up showcasing it even better. Thanks for watching!
Links are now in the description.
@@fulano86 cool, thanks! Mind if I send a link to your video(s) in one of the next RealTraffic newsletters?
@@balthasarsvideos2675 Yes, absolutely! The immersion these programs combined give, really bring the added immersion to my flight simulator experience.
@@fulano86 when you get a chance can you please get in touch via RT email. thanks!
how did you manage to merge into the traffic? every time I fly with the live traffic, they don't acknowledge me and taxi straight through me.
I use a flight tracker such as Flightradar24, find the flight whose place I want to take, and then block that call sign in PSXseeconTraffic. I use LiveATC and just take that airplane’s ATC instructions. I might want to do a video showcasing how I do it, maybe as a short tutorial.
@@fulano86 that is so incredibly smart! thank you! im about to do that. i had no idea you could block specific flights form showing up in psxt
@@fulano86 Hello ATC flying, thanks for that answer, I also was wondering the exact same question. Did you already had the time to make such a short tutorial? I would be happy if you do so!
@@12345678941160 hi, thanks for the comment. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to make a tutorial yet, I’m currently working on another video now for MSFS, but a tutorial will now definitely be my next goal.
@@fulano86 Thanks , that's appreciated. How do you manage ATC in-be-tween the starting and landing airport? Not everything is provided I suppose? I can imagine its a challenge to keep the simflight "insync" between that of the Real life flight. Curious how you handle that challenge? Anyhow thanks for the vid's and the answer
It looks nice but the ai movements are still not smooth enough imo.
Thanks for your comment. I look at it as a work in progress, considering its freeware and the developer keeps working to improve it, I can't really complain. Overall the programs adds to the immersion in my opinion.
I lived in NY during my teen years, and I have the utmost respect for pilots who can land at LGA. That's one of the toughest, trickiest airports to get into with very little room or margin for error. Since they built those humungous blue buildings next to the white ones at the 500-foot mark, it's made getting into LGA even more challenging. Even more amazing is when a pilot can do a smooth landing with no bumpiness whatsoever, which I've seen a few do. I can only wonder how tough it must be when there are high winds. I came into LGA from a flight from PBI, and there was a snowstorm with a 600-foot cloud cover. When we pulled into the gate, the captain said humorously: "there are flights going back down to West Palm Beach later today if you can catch one of them. I would." I nearly did exactly that!
I like that you took off AP at the towers - as a pax, I hate the way the RNAV jerks the airplane around. Rather have the pilot do that on such a tight approach with turns and buildings and stuff...
More fun to hand fly for sure.
