I got tired of waiting for Honda to ship a sissy bar with back rest for my Rebel 1100 so I started looking for one that I could modify with little effort. Boy, was I surprised! I found one that didn't require any modification at all. The only think I added was a 1/4 inch spacer between the side bars and the fender, and those weren't required. I show how to replace a stock horn with a Denali Soundbomb Mini that is about twice as loud. Very easy to do, no advanced mechanic skills needed. I got it off Amazon for $30. It installs easily with a 10 mm wrench.

Engine braking occurs when you let off the throttle but don't apply the brake. Your bike will be slowing down, but the brake light won't be on to warn the cars behind you. Be sure to keep the receipts for warranty purposes. Please note that the Honda Rebel 1100 owners manual calls for 10w30. I used the 10w40 because that's what the dealer gave me and said it was the correct oil....
