2021 Daytona Supercross Animated Track Map
มุมมอง 6493 ปีที่แล้ว
For the 14th consecutive year, the Daytona Supercross track is designed by Ricky Carmichael and he has a challenge in store for this year's riders. The Supercross track will feature obstacles never before seen at Daytona including the “over-under bridge” with riders racing across the bridge while other riders battle for position beneath them. With the start gate returning to pit road this year,...
Pity the interview guys questions cant be heard.
You couldn't tstand him because he was faster than you.
I bet I know why people can't stand you...
He’s talking similar to Ricky Carmichael… Ricky’s said “I hated racing motorcycles, I didn’t want to race motorcycles, I wanted to win” so for Bob it wasn’t about the money, it was about the racing, but for Ricky, it wasn’t about the racing, it was about the winning…
Badass Bob
Well nobody said you had to like everybody you raced against! Sometimes getting pissed off on the racetrack actually helps you go harder and faster. David you were a hell of a talent and I never saw you back down. Don't forget that race where your Gary challenged you to take the 125 out against the 250s and you whipped them anyway. "You ain't got a hair on your ass if you don't ride the 125" I believe he said. Sometimes we need some negative emotion to motivate us.
Nobody works for free,come on.
Hurricane ain't afraid 👊.
David,, I still miss you in the television broadcast booth.... you were absolutely the best at describing things in a casual but insightful manner that helped me understand what was happening on the track and helped me enjoy the races so much more...
Too bad....The second I saw the Trump sticker, you lost 40 years of respect and became a clown. Damn...
Always loved watching Bob ride, he gave it all and wanted to win so bad. Bob would stay and visit with fans when everyone else was headed home. One of a kind, no one appreciated the fans like Hannah.
Hannah’s the best
You have to pace yourself in a 45 min moto with aircooled engine.
I used to idolize this guy, but now I see with the Trump shirt on makes me realize he’s not very smart at all. He sure could ride a dirtbike though unfortunately, that doesn’t require brains.
I watched him lap the entire field except Howerton and he was 50 yards from lapping him at Hang Town in1978. in the first moto it was incredible to see
Temecula California. Mono - Shock equipped YZ 250.
David Bailey will go down in history as one of the fastest riders in motocross
To think he virtually had no amatuer racing career and started racing quite late ( especially by todays standards) and only rode in the desert . One year after his first taste of motocross he beats the fastest guy on the 125 planet Mr Marty Smith( Godspees Marty!) and is the National Champion. Maybe it was more than a year but regardless if it was 18 months or 2 years that is pure natural talent .
I knew Bobs dad when I was a young teen in the early 80s and can tell you Bob gets his grit from his old man. Bill Hannah traveled around in a van and trailer in those days and stayed wherever he wanted in different seasons throughout the year. He would stay in my hometown each year at about the same time. I never knew his age then but what I remember about him most was that old guy rode a bicycle daily distances that would break many younger men and rode a TT 350 Yamaha on trails better than many younger riders. I rode with him several times on trail rides and he was a tough dude.
For anyone out there that wants to hear Hannah talk about his career, there is a podcast called 'whiskey throttle' and it's a great interview along with being a great podcast in general.
I use to be his paper boy. such a cheap skate!
AMP1.TEC1.THE BADDEST ON THE PLANET.❤
All you Trump haters...Do you really think the country is in better shape now. Good luck with that one. Had a couple of beers with Bob at the Millville nationals back in 83 or 84 and he kicked everybody's ass! Me and my buddy were sitting under a tree catchin some shade and havin a beer after the race and I here behind me hey you got one for me and I turn around and it's Bob Hannah and I said hell yea! That was a moment I will never forget. Have an autographed Team Honda hat in my glass cubicle signed by him. A true legend!!
Back when i was a lil kid, we hit up a crazy track near Cherokee Ntl Forest area in NC , my uncle was on a quad running open class due to no other atvs showing up, he ran in the top of the pack with the bikes and got 5th..it was insane racing at its best . Rick Johnson was racing, i saw him come out of the woods at top speed Front Tire was pointed down.. the damn rear fender was against the back of his helmet, my uncle snapped a picture of him in that position.. they slammed the dirt so hard .. i was just feet away from seeing a racing legend totally eat it in 5th wfo..
Just saw the Trump badge. Bob Hannah is dead to me now.
Love it. He definitely has the right mindset and truthful, he is an inspiration for me to be my best regardless of my age. Thanks Bob!
Those names he mentioned were the guys in my time period. I suppose if I was more dedicated and lived in a hotbed of motocross like California I would’ve been more driven and successful. Well at least I was one of the fastest guy in my area.
Why does Bob Hannah have to look like Kevin Bacon? He could literally be a Kevin Bacon stuntman, and make more mullah than he ever did racing motocross.
Bob Hannah one of the greats before all the money came in and trashed the sport. God Bless this man.
I was at Unadilla when Hanna got the holeshot and blew everybody's door off so bad I couldn't believe it. Then they had to stop the race: Hanna was flying so high he was almost hitting the branches of a tree. They had to get a chainsaw and cut the branches! & stop the race!
He must have spent a lot of time in the States. His accent sounds mostly American.
I would've ridden a works Honda for free too.
Straight up, Bob was my hero growing up. Still is love ya Bob Stay~Safe
I never watched a rider who was more willing to hammer the throttle when others were backing off.
One of the best of all time, had his poster over my bed
I wish he didn’t have a scummy politician’s name on his shirt. Dude is a legend who doesn’t need to tell anyone who he voted for. NOBODY DOES. There’s a curtain on the voting booth for a reason.
We still have the 1st amendment here, for the time being anyway. You can wear whatever you want on your shirt.
@@jayminer4592 I’m aware. Do you feel that your rights are being threatened? Please share how because I’m guessing they’re not being threatened and you’re just parroting the other people who are quaking in their collective boots. Y’all just THINK the judicial system is being weaponized..wait till you see what that maniac does if/when he gets elected.
and don't forget to have a full tank of gas !!!
Bob Hanna is the Real Deal.
I’ve road and raced all my life. These guys where my hero’s. I have 78 bikes. Something I’ve noticed. If you get these motocrossers on the trail. They just can’t cut it.. also they all bring full blow race 450s and try to ride fast woods trails. Them bikes suck off the track. I’ve got a 1980 xr500. 1980 klx250 and a 1986 tt350. And all 3 piss mx guys off all the time. Watched guys throw down their bike cussing they just spent 10g on a bike and got smoked by a guy on a 30-40 year old bike with a dog on his gas tank. Good shit👍🏻
In 78 I was 13, my parents bought me a new YZ100E, my parents and this man here were my Gods.
Ahh so you really lived before you became a psychopathic attorney.
Bob was a real matha fuka ❤
Bob Hannah was the best
One of the best! Loved those days wolsink n the boys ! Maybe lose the Trump patch that dipstick doesn’t have one ounce of talent ! Can’t even hit a golf ball
Fond 2-stroke memories of emergency rooms trying to pretend i was the Hurricane
Hannah was awesome 👍 I miss those Motocross days
I had a great friend he reminded me a lot of Hannah 2 in al of New England 100 amateur class he could fly like Hannah he could do anything on a bike
Love this interview.
The very first dirt bike center fold I hung on my wall when I was a kid was Bob Hannah throwing a rooster tail hauling ass, now that I heard his honesty I like him even more
BS. He never would of ridden any factory team bike for free. Never. Period.
Legend...the guy did miracles on dirt.
I mer the Hurricane at the Toronto motorcycle show when I was 13. He autographed a 1980 (or 79?) YZ250 pamphlet with his picture on the cover. That was before TH-cam, or even seeing VHS of motocross. Living in Canada there was zero TV coverage for motocross. I just read every dirt bike magazine and brochure on the planet and loved Hannah the same way my dad must have loved the Lone Ranger when he was a kid. When they came out on VHS and DVD I finally got to see what the hype was for real, though never in person. I love hearing him talk now. He seemed like a genuine guy when signing autographs. With all the lightning bolts and 70s rock star hair he was the persona of cool. Every picture of him roosting out of a berm or hanging off the bike in the air was like a masterpiece of DaVinci or Rembrandt to me. Damn me where that autograph brochure went to I should have had it framed and wish it was still in my possession. I remember a column he wrote, in Dirt Bike Rider perhaps. He admitted he did not get good starts and suggested going to the outside of the first corner to avoid pile ups. I got stuck behind a big pile up in the first moto as he described. I remembered his advice and pulled in to a far outside gate in the second moto. A pile up occurred and I got around it with a great start. I got a 4 th out of 30 or so riders. It was the only supercross I ever rode at a small fair. I did race a lot of motocross. I was never a champ but kind of felt like one that night and give a little nod to the Hurricane for that finish.
