Always been intrigued by boybands. The dynamics in the group. The management. The highs/lows. What happens afterwards. Good on you Lee for coming through it. Also, continuing to produce & perform music. Both with CITA & solo. Does make me hope Benjamin joins for 1 final time. Good interview.
😂😂😂 Classic one
I hope you are well. Visiting your channel I have seen your all videos and content are very good but your video SEO optimization is not professional.
Now I will remember what’s a tool bar 🤣 Thank you teacher 🙏
You’re welcome student ❤
Dude.. this is how I feel as well. My favorite band COLD have always made me feel man
Hated it when strings snapped😅😅
Never stop making your videos 😂😂😊
Thank you :)
😂 Nick 🤣Teaching drumming is dangerous😂
It’s a dangerous job but somebody has to teach it
they're playing tomorrow night at The Viper Room.......have covid......can't make it and really hope they play NY - PLEEEEEEASE?????
Awesome interview. Been saying for a while that COVID helped create some of the best music. These new Exies songs are just more examples of that.
😂😂😂
Im guessing the next episode is being done in sign language!! 🤣🤟
An excellent suggestion
Amazing tip! What do I do if my cat ate the severed finger?
Not really sure but whatever you do, don’t attach the cat to the fretboard.
Great interview.Excited for more new music
Teacher are you there?
The lesson was cracking😂 I have learned a lot and I cannot wait for another one. From now on beets and beats going to stay with me till the end of time.

We're almost a year later without a full-length album? What happened?
My CITA idols are now in their 50s. How time flies. Thanks for the great interview.
What a year 2023 was! Amazing vid 🎉 that blood republic ep is incredible!
Insane man, thanks so much!!! <3

Wow!! Thank you so much Nicky❤️❤️ keep Ya eyes and ears peeled for our next release☺️
Can't wait lads, let me know as soon as you have fresh riffs!
What are you favourites? Let us know!
Head for the door is a classic alternative rock album. Man I listened to it so much. They should have been HUGE
Great interview Nat, I remember seeing you buzzing around taking photos at the Just Push Play Friday night party event. Shame you aren't around for Cambridge and Wakefield.
What a wholesome time 🥹 I’ll have to check out Crushed by Waves
Incredible show! Phenomenal band!
Next time you talk to Scott, Ask him about a vinyl release of literally anything hahahah I NEED!
Just saw a trailer for their new single and had to turn it off because of the autotune. Blink-1autotune
The Exies definitely influenced the heck out of me. Can't wait for more music from them.
Great video. My top 5 from 7 are... 1. Haunted 2. Haunted 3. Haunted 4. Haunted 5. The House
Great band. Excellent live.
how old are Scott Stevens :D ?
The auto tune doesn't affect their shitty unique sound really at all
this will not get you views if youre trying to 🤣
Notice how your comment is the only one they didn't like 😂
Liked both 😘
WE’RE SO BACK
Can you react to 12 stones it was you😊
Love to!
Disaster your ass, who are u :D
Worth mentioning the 2nd weekend at Coachella they fixed the autotune issues for First Date th-cam.com/video/ubuQTNO0D_Y/w-d-xo.html
When you day fixed the autotune issues I’m assuming you mean it is now setup to blend more naturally? I think the issue lots of people had was that they were using it at all.
@@riffyardmedia Yeah, that exactly. First Date was terrible first night, even when Tom was talking his voice was warbling from Autotune. I’m aware they’re using it and it doesn’t bother me so much when it’s more subtle.
Enter shikari for me, last word yesterday they were almost 400 in front. Fingers crossed!
I’ve got a good feeling they got it over the line 😜
They also play everything slower now, like album speed. Is that because of auto tune? Is it monitoring the vocal from the record and adapting the live vocal or is there another reason they are playing slower?
I did notice the speed thing, but that is most likely because they are playing to some backing tracks now (keyboards, effects) and you have to keep a set tempo. In the past blink played a bit loose; just their style, and like so many punk bands would whoosh through songs. The autotune could also play a part, but this isn’t a requirement to use it, though it does make it easier if automated.
Only songs that really had autotune were first date and edging had backing tracks on the chorus. I Miss You has had backing tracks live since 2009. Dynasty Gary had no autotune. Feeling this had no autotune, u can even mark is off on the low parts. I really didn’t hear it. Tom sounded like himself from the first reunion tour but a lot tighter and more into it. Did no one hear anthem part 2 your telling me there was autotune on that song. Toms voice was cracking like crazy but still didn’t hear any audio corrections in his voice.
It’s funny you say this because until I heard first date I didn’t pick up on it. Once I did I could hear it across almost every song. Now whether that is because it’s on or because I’ve heard the dog whistle is another question…
My question that you guys just brought into my mind is what if the smaller bands are forcing the big boys into using Auto-Tune? What if some of these smaller bands are sounding so good that they are coming off better than the true greats by use of technology? It's definitely a crazy new world, and I've been against auto-tune my whole life, but I've also been a huge Blink-182 fan. I'm definitely somewhat biased in this particular case but I'm wondering if this is something that a lot of bands are having to do just to keep up with the times? I have no idea but I'd love to get both of your opinions on this? Thank you both! It was nice listening to you for the first time!
That’s a really interesting take that I hadn’t thought of! Definitely as bands like blink reach this sort of age they probably do need a bit of a helping hand when compared to bands half their age. It’s a pretty physically demanding ask and maybe they do need the help. Maybe another thing is that the new bands are growing up with this tech and benefiting from it too? Another reason why the legacy bands have to up the ante?
@RIFF YARD MEDIA COMPANY I don't think they necessarily need it anymore than they always might have for Tom anyway. I do think that as you mentioned a lot of younger people are growing up with all this Tech and now we even have the AI with people believing that it's actual musicians singing when a computer is making up lyrics that sound just like them. I definitely enjoyed the old days where it was much more Raw but I can't say I hate the sound with the technology especially as we get older and our ears get a little more sensitive. There's definitely plenty of things to consider in this new age. Thanks for the response
I'd rather hear just the three of them really. It's more exciting to hear what parts they chose to play/sing live, compared to the studio versions. I also love how they used to play certain songs faster live back in the day, when they felt like it.
Agree. This version of blink is so clinical. It sounds very much like their “The Tom, Mark, and Travis show” live album which didn’t sound a thing like what you’d experience at a show!
Thanks for the plug! :) Great lil interview!
We'll have to get you on the show, Lance!
Thanks dude! Of course!
