    Should you use gloves? I read the directions on the can of rock like pieces and i though it sounded like dangerous stuff to breath or get on your skin. Nice Video!

    Is it possible to make the woven (middle) into a whole ring then attach two separate whole wire rings for the top and bottom? Or is there a reason why it is done in the video?

    Too bad you don't post anymore. I love the idea of separating the base wires with the wrapping wire at the beginning of the work. I'm just starting out, so it's very helpful because I always have a problem with squeezing too much.

    Great tutorial, just one comment from me.. Get closer to your microphone.. I had my notebook on full vilume, the TH-cam app on full volume, and at times, I had to really listen closely.. Now that I think about it, I guess I could have turned on the closed caption or whatever it is they call it. Just wondering.. If you were to sell this ring at a craft show, how much would you ask? I was into the paracord craze about 10 years ago, had rolls and rolls of 550 cord, then I found a supplier down in Arizone that had LaCrosse cord in a huge amount of colors and patterns. Tied up a bunch of bracelets, key fobs, you name it.. Went to a craft show with all my cordage, my artists easel that I used for measuring the bracelt and holding the inner cords tight so I could do the wrapping/tying on the outside of the cords. I sold ONE bracelet for $5.00... I can't recall the number of people that walked by and I'd hear them say "On my son/daughter knows how to do that.." Her son/daughter might have tied one or two pitiful bracelets to keep one and give one to her bestie.. And now all that paracord stuff she had to have ends up on a yard sale table selling for pennies on the dollar.. I tied my bracelets, critters, necklaces and if I sold any of them, I donated the money to No-Kill animal shelters. It was all a hobby. No way to get rich on it that's for sure..

    Is there a way to "set" the heavily oxidized copper? I kind of like the blackened look. I have a piece it would look great on, almost like wrought iron. Would it be possible to use a poly spray on it maybe? Or even thinned modge podge?

    • @bobiallen7064
      @bobiallen7064 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I honestly am not sure, as I've never tried to keep it. Let me do a little research and I'll get back to you with a better answer soon!! I know a lot of people that have used poly sprays, but sometimes that tends to have buildup or orange peel texture. I've heard of people using clear, brush on nail polish, but that was usually to protect the wearers finger or chest from the green color you can get on your skin. Like i said, I'll do a little research and get back to you as soon as i have a better answer!!

    You do incredible work!! I'm so impressed. Is there any reason not to solder the little bow-tie where you press the cut ends together?? Then when you are using the 29 ga. wire to tine the braid to the outer frame wires, can you drop in a bit of solder in the underside where it would not show?? Please let me know. You work is delightful. Thank you for sharing. AX
