มุมมอง 23014 วันที่ผ่านมา
LSL Instruments Era T Bone I'm here to answer the age old question that no one actually asks - can a Tele do metal? Of course it can. Demoing this brand new Era series from LSL, this is a T Bone H/H configuration T style guitar. This has a roasted pine body, roasted maple neck, 25.5" scale, and Seymour Duncan pickups ('59 in the neck and JB in the bridge). Jump ahead: ► Intro - 0:00 ► Demo Song...

ESP Guitars Craft House Tour (Tokyo, Japan) - ESP Alexi Laiho Ripped Demo
มุมมอง 1.3K9 หลายเดือนก่อน
I recently visited the ESP Guitars Craft House in Tokyo, Japan and it was awesome. This is not only the location where many custom ESP guitars are ordered, but they have an impressive shop. Additionally, there is an ESP Museum upstairs, but unfortunately no photos/videos were allowed. It was pretty amazing as they had one of Jeff Hanneman's guitars, a James Hetfield Explorer, Kirk Hammett Flyin...

Custom front panels on my Omega Obsidian and Omega Granophyre! My cousin Matt Durant (mattdurant.com/) did the custom artwork for both of these amps and they look awesome. SMP Guitars Orpheus Unboxing and Demo | New Guitar Day! My Best Electric Guitar Ever?
Never been a mesa fan much, but the Rectifier's mushiness & "scoop" sounds more alive with both passive & active pickups. The Soldano was alright, 5150 sounded super compressed. I don't think the SLO or 5150 need a boost to sound good/better/tighter, but that's my opinion. They sound better without any boost just left on their own.
The Dragons sound incredible... Still using silo?
Ya. But the dragons are in the case. Easy to switch back if I am in the mood. Those pickups are special.
does it have to be ffin 10 minutes?
No. It can be zero minutes. No one is forcing you to watch it.
@ congrats on the 150k subscribers dude. those 10 minutes video worked well on shorts and tiktok.
Explain your comment. Actually don’t. Just remembered I don’t care.
They are all great. I first tried a Soldano in Guitar Center in the early '90s and it was just awesome. My wife made me sell my rack mount Mesa Dual Rectifier from the early'90s. I don't play live. I picked up a Bugera Tri-Rec cheap remake but it sounds really good. I still want the Soldano. All these amps are extremely expensive there are tons of IRs but having the real deal is just a better experience in my opinion.
Nice
I like both amps. Sound so similar to me. Omega ftw though because of it being made in Detroit and in my price range.
The Hercules should have won on price as well even with the extra modules. It's 40-50% RRP cheaper depending on what country you are in.
Those of you wonder why a monster 5150 sounds so funny and needs a boost is because he's playing a 100 watt hi gain amp with the volume all the way down....
So wise. Make a video. Show us how it’s done with the volume to 10 big boy.
Love that fuzz tone
Pedals sound great man!
Is that what those rails are for then? Holding boosts?
Maxon od 9 🔥
So, where do the overdrives go?
When you burped I was like HOLD UP
Great vid. Just get a Helix and you can have both ;)
I got the 1st ever made Era series butterscotch guitar....I'm more of a country guitar/,classic rock player so I love my single coil pickups! Either way LSL did a great job on these guitars....I've giggled it about half a dozen times already and it's a solid guitar🤘🤘
They really did an awesome job. I won’t lie, I didn’t think I’d like this guitar as much as I do. I mean I knew I’d dig it since I love everything LSL, but I’m enjoying this way more than I thought I would.
@ScottBynoe awesome! The Era is my 2nd LSL...my 1st one is a t-bone named "cicely" ....the Era really gives it a run for the money
5150 sounded best to my ears. Soldano sounded vintage / old school while the mesa lacked character,
Stuff video, nice ;) !!!
I’m a sucker for stuff. I love stuff.
I'm late to the party, but.. I've been using 4 cable method for some time and last night I noticed that engaging the noise gate in the fx loop changes the sound - removes some treble, cuts off a bit of the dynamics. Any takers on how to solve it? Playing with the knobs on Sentry makes little difference, as soon as it's engaged it colors the sound. It doesn't sound bad, maybe I can compensate on the amp EQ somehow, but it's weird, isn't it? Or is it just inherently the way all noise gates behave in the fx loop? I'd appreciate some help on this one.
🤘🤘 sounds awesome my friend!
Thanks man!
Tele neck pickups are not lipstick pickups, otherwise great vid
Uh oh, pickup police are here...jk, right or wrong, so many people refer to those pups as lipstick
@ haha it’s not a big deal but it is incorrect - people use videos like this as a resource so it’s important to ensure we know the difference between part A and B - but yes trying to not be an arse about it 😂
I stand corrected
you are back! been a while since a video - sounds great
Thanks!
He returns!
Haha ya it’s been a minute. Had to remind myself how to make videos it’s been so long 😂
no difference. its about how you playem
sounds like genaric amp sims on generic cookie cutter metal small and wimpy guitars
Oh so edgy! Post some vids, show us how it’s done big boy.
Ra ra grrrrrrrrgr gr gr grrrr ra hahara

i love it !!! THIS IS how you use a para EQ !!!
The mesa sounds mean!
You missed the best.. boss od3
Out of curiosity, what's the scale length on that PRS ?
Definitely not worth the premium price when you track one of these down as I have recently. I don't think it's any great shakes over many other distortion/OD pedals out there. Maybe I just don't have that ear to distinguish why this is better. That EVH should but putting out what you need anyway. Thanks for the very good demo!
Thank you
amazing! thank you! soldano is crystal clear, I would say virginal, strict, standard. This is the older brother. Mesa is his own younger brother-hooligan, local bully, sounds dirtier and looser, once I was a fan of this tone, now my soul is closer to the clean and strict soldano. 5150 is their cousin-beginner metalhead-teenager-who has 3 pedals, but all three are distortion. In his free time from metal, he likes to go to the beach and play in the sand. If it weren't for his hobbies, he would be like his older brother.
That guitar needs a setup for low tunings. Pedals hardly sound much different, seems the speakers and the amp and the deep tuning make 90 percent of the sound.
Yes. Amp and speakers make up most of the sound. Pretty common knowledge. And you’re telling me “setting up” up the guitar would make the sound differences more noticeable? 😂😂😂
Ts9 for me the original one
#1, Mesa, #2. Peavey, # 3 Their father, the SLO
<Dirty Tree
3:07 fucking killed me
Just shedding light on TEW since so many ask ;)
Bro, thank u... This is perfect.
I dig this. PRS is such a solid platform, you can literally do anything with their guitars and I'm loving this gold top.
I lol’d at the ‘fuck you scott your video sucks’ subscribed
The Best is Soldano SLO 100!!!
I'd take an old (throughh hole component - for fixability and modding reasons) SD-1 over any screamer personally, tube screamers clip to soft, and I'm addicted to having just slightly more edge / bite to the gain.
I know the truth is often unpopular but Peavey's transformer supplier changed specs and never told anyone which definitely effected the tone. The earlier the head the more likely you'll get the superior transformer, it's not a guarantee but a Block Letter is the best odds. In 1993 James started prototyping the Combo and Eddie wasn't pleased with it. James changed the lead channel voicing to cope with Eddie cranking the underpowered 60 watter farting out. Eddie loved the tweak and made James apply it to the 100 Watt head lead channel. The 1992 and 1993 lead channel voicing is spongier, more scooped, and has a more searing sparkle in the top end. When you boost it with the right pedal it's a Godly tone. The 1994 has a tighter low end, more and honkier mids, and the presence lacks the exciting sparkle of the 1992 and 1993. Don't believe me ask Misha Mansoor and Josh Middleton they know their 5150's.
Boost and Overdrive in my opinion takes the flubby feeling out of a tube amp. EQ in the effects loop if applicable will make a bigger difference in your sound.
This is very, very unexpected! In pure sound, the sd-1 feels clearly angrier and brighter than the ts9, after which I do not understand why on high-gain everything is exactly the opposite, the sd-1 sounds cool, but cool as at a rehearsal, concert or at home. TS9 on high-gain sounds like on a studio album of your favorite heavy band, and not like a rehearsal... And it's a pity. I don't like ibanez, I like the appearance of the sd-1 much more, and its accessibility. It's very sad to realize that on high-gain it clearly blew =((
I run a pedal signal chain for my bass and have it in this order: Bass>tuner> compressor> noise suppressor (NS-2)> decimator (noise gate)> macbook/logic pro X> Headrush frfr-112 And from the Send/Return jacks from the noise suppressor, i have it in this order. NS-2 send>darkglass alpha Omicron output>sansamp bass driver input> sansamp output>NS-2 return. Any tips?
Is it safe for acoustic guitar to have this done? Will it affect sound?
Is it bad to have a battery plugged into the pedal while also having it powered by an external power supply ?
