Hi, I'm Elsie, a retired Federal Government Computer Specialist and Consultant with over 40 years of service. I retired in January 2024 and have been looking for ways to stay busy. I now work full-time in my garden, where I have become addicted to succulents. I started getting interested in succulents two summers ago, but I wasn't concentrating on it because I was still working. Since retiring, I have been concentrating on taking care of succulents and need to stop buying too many.

Aeonium- repotting 4 into a big planter
I am transferring these four beautiful, healthy aeoniums into a larger pot, with the goal of revitalizing the aeoniums to their initial state when I first purchased them. I spent a significant amount of money on these from a California grower and am disheartened by their current state - once full of leaves, they're now barely holding on. By repotting them in a larger pot, I hope to restore their health and maintain these special aeoniums.

At 7 am, we arrived in Tracy Arms Fjords, Alaska, after a 9-hour cruise from Skagway. I see the problem, your plants have foam plugs that the roots have grown into, this stops sempervivum from rooting into the ground... You need to completely snip the roots down on the mother plant and the chicks will root better if have good draining soil that isn't to acidic and dont be scared to water them as new plants need the extra water to stimulate root growth, good luck!
I see, they came like this when I bought them. I hope they are still alive when I get home cause I have been gone for almost 2 weeks now. I’ll repot them when I get home. Thanks for your advice.
