Hi there. I'm a lover of art in all its forms but the art form I enjoy the most has to literature. I love reading, writing, thinking about books and always try to look at things with the eyes of a storyteller.
No, I don't have social media.

Hey besties!
Had some issues with exporting so you're going to have to deal with the 720p quality of this.
Anyway, these are all the books I've read so far this year and what I think of them.
Have you read any of these titles? If yes, what did you think of them?

Hey lovlies. Feeling productive this week so here's another video on Orhan Pamuk & the Museum of Innocence.
My undying love for Orhan Pamuk
มุมมอง 7K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey worsties. Can you guess what time this video was shot on? Hint: 🌃💤 We'll be taking a look at Orhan Pamuk and his work today. These are the books that I've read from the author and a breif description of what they're about. Hope you enjoy the video. xoxo
True! I've had a hard time with Snow too. I also found the main love story quite childish and unrealistic. But now that I saw your video I think I must give it a try with his other novels.
slurrrrrrr
🍉
He is back ❤❤❤😊
love your videos, bro, new fan!
Amazing video as always, where did the video about Murakami disappear tho ? He's my fav writer so i really enjoyed ur vid about him
Hahaha I can imagine the disappointment
I've never read Orhan Pamuk. What is his best book accorning to you ? I've just reserved "The Black Book" at the library. I was looking for something dark and mysterious. That book fits in.
The Black Book is in my opinion his best work. Though my favorite remains The Museum of Innocence. Be patient with The Black Book, it is a labyrinth of feelings, mysteries and characters but it is worth it

I just finished Snow, and by the end I had an overwhelming sense of sadness, and kept thinking about Leonard Cohen’s song “Dance me to the End of Love.” I think your video about Pamuk’s books is excellent. I’m going to watch it a few more times and take some notes.
Am just wondering which Pamuk to read first and I came across your video. I have subbed immediately. Thank you for sharing your opinions - I will go with Museum of Innocence 😊
Currently reading his "Nights Of Plague"... Great great book... This is the 1st book of him which I'm reading... Just fell in love with his writing... ❤️🇮🇳❤️
Finally i found a youtuber who talks about books i would read and like 😊
You should make video regularly, buddy
Hey thanks for your comment. I'm not in a place where I can dedicate time to this channel right now but I do write articles on Medium from time to time if you want to read them :)

very useful video, i liked; loves from Turkey :)
He's just like me fr
Nights of Plague might be my favorite from Pamuk. Like Dostoevski Karamazov Brothers, it seems like a perfect synthesis of all his previous works: family dynamics, history, detective mystery, politics, hierarchies/bureaucracies, art, etc. Just perfect.
It really was a blend, you're right but I feel like the black book is the epitome of his style
Am doing research on his novels need more information about his novels and his writings if anyone willing to guide means let me jnow it
I've just finished Snow and I needed to do some research on this author. I am not entirely sure why but I loved the book. I can't tell why at all but I felt enthralled by the story and the fact that I can't tell what I enjoyed so much is so strange to me. I guess Pamuk creates a captivating atmosphere and I fell for it without even realising it! Thanks for the video, The Museum of Innocence will probably be my next Pamuk's thanks to your recommendation.
The way you explained these books inspired me to pick some of them up! I love this!
Just found your channel and subbed! I loved Island of Missing Trees. I have My Brilliant Friend on my shelf. I LOVED the HBO series. One of my all time fave TV series.
Orhan Pamuk is one of my favourite writers and I would like to suggest three books of Turkish literature that influenced Pamuk. I think that you might like them when you read. The books are; The Time Regulation Institute by Ahmet Hamdi Tanpinar, The Disconnected by Oguz Atay and lastly Motherland Hotel by Yusuf Atilgan. Greets from Istanbul :)
Teşekkürler, for your suggestions! I am definitely interested in reading writers that influenced him. Motherland Hotel sounds like a very interesting title to me, might go for it soon. Greetings from Debre 👋🏻

I love Orhan Pamuk writings. I m searching for Istanbul. Snow was a great creation. Hallo, from India.
Most Turks I've spoke.. they hate him. They really, passionately hate him. Although I doubt that they have ever read any of his works. As for me I've recently read "Snow and I really enjoyed it. It has a certain atmosphere, a certain... something and that alone is, at least for me, a great achievement! Above all I admire his honesty. Turkish society desperately needs more people like him but as always it is too difficult for them to understand it.
Pamuk is a real genius. Because of this wonderful fiction
Because I went this summer in a holiday in Istanbul and Bodrum, my husband recommended me to read something by a Turkish author. I chose, luckily, The museum of innocence. You are right. He is more like a descriptive author ( thoughts and places) and I gradually warmed to this style of writing, but the more I was progressing with the book the more I liked it. I won’t say more about the book as I don’t want to spoil it for future readers but , Yes, I recommend to have patience with the reading as it’s not something you might have been reading before. However it’s like a beautiful diamond , carefully polished until it gets to its perfection. Beaty can be painful but still it’s beauty! I need to know more about the author and his books.
Thank you for your comment! If you enjoyed the Museum of Innocence I have made a video about it that you can check 😃 Let me know what else you'll read from Pamuk
this video is great! thank you for your in depth review. I had relatives who migrated to Turkey and am an immigrant to the US from Ukraine so the question of identity is quite of interest to me. I have Snow but I'll probably follow your advice and get The Museum of Innocence to read first. I love plotless, deeply felt and nostalgic, questioning books which seems like what he's about. Thank you!
Hello Rozan! Hope I've spelt your name correctly. I've just come across your channel and had to subscribe! Your enthusiasm for literature and reading is inspiring. I am reading My Name is Red just now and really loving it. It's my 4th Pamuk. He's an amazing writer. Btw may I compliment you on your excellent English. Are you studying it? Your fluency and advanced understanding are impressive. Greetings from Ireland!
Hi there. Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm happy to see another Pamuk fan. To answer your question, no I do not study English. I'm not even sure myself of how I've learned it at this point but its a little bit of everything (school, work, movies, music plus reading)
I became his fan 5 years ago. Each book is a lifetime in itself...
Nice video. I'm a big fan of Pamuk. One writer I'd recommend if you like Pamuk is the Nobel winning Peruvian writer Mario Vargas Llosa. His books have incredible range, from historical fiction, to mystery, to high comedy. I would start with his novel Aunt Julia and the Scriptwriter. It's semiautobiographical and gives a great sense of Lima in the 1950s. And of course, anything you can find by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, beginning with his masterpiece One Hundred Years of Solitude. I think you will enjoy these authors.
Hello. Thank you so much for your recommendations. I have read Marquez and quite enjoyed both books ( 100 Years and Love in Time of Cholera) I have not read Vargas Losa but I'll try to get my hands on one of his books. Thank you again
Loved this book so much I wrote a song on it let me know what you think th-cam.com/video/SuFW9839OjU/w-d-xo.html
Excellent review. I’m currently half way through reading The White Castle and loving it!
I just finished Snow, which is the first of Orhan Pamuk's books I've read. I loved it, it was so captivating. I need to reread it in order to appreciate it in the way I think it deserves, since I went in with zero context. I'll definitely read his other works!!
Excellent insight! I have start with My name is red first, which was a great introduction and followed it by Snow which has really shaked me ! The atmosphere in both is amazing.
Wait until you read the Black Book. It is so captivating. I am planning to re-read it.
He indeed is very well-known in Turkey
i am almost finished with the book, nothing i want more right now than just take a train to istanbul & visit the museum. lovely video 🤍
don't we all 🥺
Reading "My name is Red" right now, and i am really enjoying it. It somehow seems simple but really fascinating to me.
It's so good.
