@latemodelrestoration brought back the aluminum SVE cylinder heads and now offer a CNC ported 185cc version so I had to get my hands on a set. These look better in person than they do In the pictures. I can’t wait to get this engine finished up and and down in the car. Stay Tuned!

Before you spend hundreds of dollars on a new starter for your Toyota you might be able to rebuild the solenoid for a fraction of the cost with the Dorman 02349 starter kit. FYI the 85 came with roller cam so could be the stock 85 engine.
So what are we runnin here with that powerful B cam, 14.4?
Pushrod length? Going to be using 1.6 rockers on a set of gt40p's.
I'm using stock pushrods and springs on these stock E7 heads.

How does it do without a shroud?
I did alright in the spring and fall and stayed around 190-200 with a 180 thermostat but in the FL summer it would creep up to around 215-220 at stop lights which is why I ended up switching to a dual shrouded fan.

I am doing custom exhaust on coyote….doing myself but know nothing about exhaust….can you give me some advice based on your experience. I’m using ARH long tube headers 2 3/4
I like how Corsa Extremes sound on Coyotes. Any straight through style sounds too obnoxious in my opinion. Every Coyote car in NW FL has straight pipes and sounds like 💩

Flow Monsters are made by Flowmaster, its their cheaper line of mufflers.

Not much different then the flomonsters he took off, both generic China mjfflers, he took off the 1 chambers, the full boar are 2 chambers just flow master knock offs everyone's selling and branding now.

i was torn between Spintech and Black Widow. I have heard Jones makes nice sounding mufflers too. i have a fresh 331 getting ready to be tuned. (aces Killshot)

Not a better sounding muffler on the planet than a Spin tech. Thrush comes next but Magnafools and Cherry bombs and all the other shit are exactly that. SHIT. people just want loud and obnoxious and those mufflers offer that. I want something that doesn't make everything sound like a misfiring SBC 350 going through a tunnel.
@@ConcussedGaming I agree, they sound great on literally everything. I’m probably going to put a set on my cammed Tahoe next. It currently has a welded thrush on it now.
I would say the Dynomax ultra flows would sound good. Mine has jegs knockoff 2 chambers on it. I hate them but they were on sale for $19.99 each. I would love to have single chambers on it.
If you could find a set of MAC Flowpath mufflers, they are the best-sounding mufflers. Unfortunately, MAC is not around anymore. The other muffler I would love to hear is the Dynomax Ultra Flo Welded. The 10 series flow monsters would sound great on my 92 LX running 40 series mufflers currently!

I've had 40series on all 4 of my foxbodies, and to my ears, that is just how a ford pushrod V8 is supposed to sound.

Alot of the branded stuff are generic china mufflers now. You want aggressive the little 6644 total flow bullets are hard to beat. I use them in x pipes as resonnators to knock some drone out of the the hooker vr304 Mufflers there kits came with. I grabbed a couple of the blackheart swap kits as they blew them out since they dropped those from production.
I put spintechs on all of my small block fords. They just have a killer sound.
Sounds good. I bet the black widow would sound sweet. TheCraig909 puts them on everything and has a different sound than anything else.
Yea I watched his videos a ton before i pulled the trigger on the Spintech's. The Black Widow's do sound rowdy.

This engine came out of a 87. But I believe 85 pulleys are the same.
If you were to add power steering, what would your options be with your belt routing/setup?

Beautiful car got a minty 1990 LX myself almost the same color. I really like the sunken headlights on those early models. Thing sounds great.
Did you just change the cam? What about the push rods,rockers and lifters? Did you keep everything stock?
Yes. The B-303 is designed to go into a stock engine. I could have put better valve springs in but I keep it under 6K RPM and have a another engine I'm building with better parts.
@natet1227 oh nice I was asking cause I just got me a b303, comp rocker , push rods and lifters but I can't figure it out cause the rockers I got don't fit. My fix is a 88 and I guess those rockers need are for a older fox
@@JoseEspinoza-bj6th you probably have stud mount rockers and need pedestal mount rockers. My stock ones have been doing fine for a couple years now.

Next time take one of those binder magnets you have and put it in front of the bolt you are trimming down and it'll help catch some of the metal shavings 🤙
Did you replace the resonator or the actual muffler at the end ? That could be the reason it sounds bad . A glass pack is a resonator not a muffler .
