Not bad....but not even close to the smokey smooth voice of Vince Gill singing this song.

That whole album was just great! Has some of the best feel and best memories of my life!
This song is very sentimental to me. Craig, I met you (with Little Feat) at a record convention in LA in the 90's. When you guys were signing a picture I had, I said, Can you put to Amie -Like the song from Pure Prairie League? And one of the guys said "he's the one that wrote that" I didn't even realize it was you. What a hoot!
Craig is doing what everyone on this planet fantasizes about, to sing this song at karaoke.

Vince came in around 1979. PPL had been around since 1972, probably even earlier.

@iceaxe56 Vince played with the band but no on the album 'Bustin Out' , he joined in 1978, The first two albums with Craig fuller are quite different from the rest. Nothing to get worried about. Vince is excellent, however he wasn't on the first two albums.
When I was at Shepherd College in 1979-1981 every band, that came to play in the bowl near Kenamond Hall, had to know this song. This was the college anthem. Man it brings back memories
And it was in every dorm room, or at least on every floor of every dorm.
