It is based on Question 1 of the sample exam released on Nebosh website and gives a clear way of how to answer this type of question. How beautifully you've explained I wish you were my trainer at the academy, unfortunately the instructor/teacher I had was egoistic and narcissist he'd call us names and literally bully us sometimes and on the last day where he was responsible to explain how to pass the IG 1 exam and how to plan our answers he literally left the class 3 hours early and didn't even tell us. That's why I was so depressed and worried about my mock test which is tomorrow I'm not quite sure if I'll be able to pass it. But I definitely have huge respect for you dear ma'am that you've uploaded this gem on TH-cam for students like us.

Actually for most of the nonnative students, language is the most important barrier, that's why our people first struggle to improve their English and then they will be able to write in their own words otherwise no one can pass. So honestly speaking language is the most crucial barrier to the students who are not native.... Thanks..

Hello, i am currently undergoing my nebosh course and i your advice will be greatly needed. For the NG2, it is said to identify at least 10 hazards from at least 5 hazard categories. Now my question is can i outline more then 5 hazard categories maybe 10 and more than 10 hazards for example 20. Also, can i select more than two hazards categories from one element?

Moira, a big thank you for your in-depth detail on answering some of the questions. Now, I might be new to health and safety but I'm sure that barriers are an engineering control as they (isolated/seperates people from the hazard ) and not an administrative control which (changes the way people work).

Hi Moira, I use a word counter website, which is instantly counting words while I'm editing them to reach the required word number. when I copy the final version of my answer from this website (which I already wrote) and paste it into my answer paper, is this deemed as plagiarism according to NEBOSH?
Is there a difference in terms of content and exam between NGC and IGC?
The only difference between the papers is if there is a legislation question. NGC focuses on UK and IGC will use ILO conventions and recommendations. The balance of the papers are identical
@@safetynow5984 , but in the IGC students can still use UK laws and regulations in their answers? like for example (HSE, Employers’ Liability (Compulsory Insurance) Act 1969, A brief guide for employers, 2012) when it comes to financial arguments and insurance points? is that ok?

In the scope of risk assessment, must we include all the areas that we have in our assessment. Or just afew?
Usually your risk assessment will cover a workplace or an area within the workplace. So it might cover for example the workshop and office areas but excludes the car parks. What ever is in the risk assessment must be within the scope of it too. Hope that helps
Yeah thank you. Last question, in part 1 the topic. Any other relevant information must the job title of the person responsible for health and safety be mentioned as well?
@@frankaspire7522 not necessarily. It can be anything relevant to the risk assessment or the company. But whatever you do , do not leave any boxes empty. If it is not relevant then that’s what you put in. “Not relevant “ And the same with your risk controls. If something has been fully controlled then do not leave the box blank. Put “ not further controls required “ and therefore the allocated responsibility and time scale will be “ not applicable “ for both boxes.
