@SecretLifeOfSwansByXavier Angus & Ria at first were busking at King Swan in the unfrozen patch on the other side of the lake, which can fit lots of water birds inside. Normally, King swan would go straight to them, but he went over to his partner and got fed seeds by me. Last year, John took his family on this lake last year, and King Swan flew straight into the family. At first, he looked scared of Angus, which worried me.

​@JaidenSB2004 Christmas day, I will be doing 3 videos of each swan pair.

I don’t think this new cob will overthrow them if I’m honest. In fact I think King Swan will fight even harder to keep the area and stay. I’ve seen this with Anglesey cob and the New cob once, so I do expect King Swan to be too dominant again within the next few weeks, possibly after Christmas.

King swan still acts dominant. Whenever the new Cob goes near him he just puffs up defensively. Right now on the lake is King & Queen swan and the Alpha Male. The other female swan has left. Queen swan isn't interested in the new cob and is staying loyal to the King. I believe it will be like Joe and Miles last year and when breeding season starts King Swan will be fed up and fight the male swan.

@JaidenSB2004 Depends on how King Swan acts in the next week. Queen Swan isn't interested in him. They had another fight, which was equal until goose interfered, which split them up. King Swan has never given up on his territory, and I don't think he will. He is the strongest swan I have ever met, and I believe when breeding season begins, he will definitely win.

@JaidenSB2004 He also has not got a partner with him.

@JaidenSB2004 No, they came back 3 weeks ago and took the 1 remaining juvenile to where there 2 other juveniles went.

@SecretLifeOfSwansByXavier The pair that I feed in this video have been on this lake april and tried to nest, but they were too late, and they were both very shy The other pair joined when they their rivals were moulting, and that pair were on top for around 2 months. Now, both pairs have disputes every time I see them. These swans are not as big as Felix, John, Angus, and King swan. Even Queen swan is bigger than the cobs, but they still act dominant.

@JaidenSB2004 No Autumn is now back on her home lake with her 2 juveniles. John chased the cob out and Autumn, but her did not follow Autumn back to her lake. Now, only 6 swans remain on John's lake

Oh no, I hope they get back together. The new cob should have held his ground.

@JaidenSB2004 I have decided to name him Alex and No when John & June came on this lake John didn't decide to chase him but left him because Alex just tucked up in battle stance.

@ Alex is definitely dominant then! Is Queen & King Swan back yet?

@JaidenSB2004 Sadly not yet which I risky because every pair that comes on this lake while they have left before have challenged King swan to the throne, but I can't see a swan beating King swan any day.

Swans are partial migrants, they can fly tens of miles at a stretch.

@JaidenSB2004 Some different pairs on the reservoir who have joined a month ago. These pairs are not as big as Angus, John, Felix and King Swan.

@ OK I see, can you film the new cob on King Swans lake?

@JaidenSB2004 He left when King & Queen Swan came back and took their juvenile away with them.

@ Wait, they came and left again! How odd.

@JaidenSB2004 They have took the juvenile to their other 2 juveniles were they will find a flock of swans so they can live with and find a mate.

​@JaidenSB2004 Yes I do think he will have a fight and definitely if a female swan comes on the lake. At night time he is doing grunting action and charging across the lake.

@JaidenSB2004 Looks like a very dominant male autumn left a day ago, so he is unlucky to miss out on finding a mate.

@JaidenSB2004 Hope Autumn comes back and pairs with him and challenge Angus.

@@Thelifeofswans Can’t see that happening sadly, but I do them challenging king and queen swan.

@JaidenSB2004 Angus & Ria have chosen to live on a separate lake next to John & June, and Autumn would prefer to nest where she knows what's happening and she just needs a Cob to protect the family. I can only see Autumn coming back if Angus crosses the path to chase her off or John does, but he is scared of Felix, who he doesn't know has left his lake.

@JaidenSB2004 Sadly, one of the 7 juveniles was attacked and killed by a fox while King & Queen swan have taken 2 of the juveniles who can fly away, leaving5 juviniles by themselves. 1 has gone to thir other lake and 3 remain with eachother. The Fox had attacked the juvenile on land a couple of nights ago, and someone who lives near me said that the swans neck was hanging off. It's really sad to hear, but it's just how life is in the animal world. god planned it all out, so you can't do anything about it. I hope King & Queen swan will come back soon. Otherwise, a pair will challenge them to the thrown.

@JaidenSB2004 I will do a video of Autumn and her 5 juveniles Saturday morning, that's if Angus isn't around.

@@Thelifeofswans OMG! No that’s horrible……yes I hope the 6 survive now but I would have thought that the juvenile would go and run into the water, to get away. How odd.

@JaidenSB2004 He said he heard a scream at night time because normally the family will spend the night on the banking where I feed them while King swan stands guard. When the juveniles were cygnets, King swan actually chased a fox away.

@@JaidenSB2004 I have not seen him attempt to fly yet.

@JaidenSB2004 all he needs now is his extra long feathers on the tip of his wings. He tried to charge across his territory but couldn't get any height.

@JaidenSB2004 No he hasn't finished yet. He will probably be done 1 or 2 weeks.
