It's a rev limiter, on tdi engines it's called popcorn limiter

It was my daily, I sold this car 10 months ago, i've done 30.000 km and new owner drove it hard for another 4 months, now he's rebuilding the engine for excessive blowby due to wear but never broke it.

2.0 tdi 184cv is known to have piston rings problem, for daily use i wouldn't go over stage 2, but it depends a lot on how you will drive the car and how well it has been maintained

I do not have any suggestions unfortunally yet Ido have the same issue. At the moment, the ESP is permanently fired by the BCM, so I have wheelspin/hop in like 1st, 2nd and 3th gear and it gives a *BANG* from out of the front if I full trotthle-release gaspedal around 5k-rpm. 'They' said it is a combination of a worn double-massflywheel, clutch and more movement than neccesary in de differentialhousing...

Tdi pd are very cheap to tune, with just a turbo, a set of nozzles and a fmic you can make lot of power

On perfexpert it measured 305 Hp 540 nm but i think its a bit less and yes clutch is doing more than its job

@@carpassion2148 did you measure 100-200 on dragy? seems to be around ~10s so 300hp sounds about right for a 6L ibiza.

@@pakkiaman2 pd150 pd130 pd115 all have 6 speed box. not sure about the rest tbh but the above defo have 6 speed.
