The Chapin Sisters- Remember When The Music
มุมมอง 42K15 ปีที่แล้ว
Taken on August 16th, 2009, at The Ovens Park in Nova Scotia. This is part of the annual Chapin Family Concert. Truly the most amazing concert ever! Great musicians, lyrics, and voices. Enjoy! :)
Amazing family, carrying on the tradition! Simply beautiful!!!
What beautiful harmonizing to a timeless song! Harry Chapin has always been a favorite of mine both as a singer and a songwriter. This rendition of a song for all ages done by his family--thanks for posting it!
This is amazing. I must meet this family one day. I listen to Harry every day and every night. I know every song of his and every live performance word for word, even his little quips and side jokes. "I'd figured that would get you" from Get On With It is my favourite. Such a talented family
How is young Miles ? Thank you the Chapin family for real fun . Tony
They were awesome
Thanks for sharing this, life full circle.
Are they his nieces? where was this at?
Those are Tom's daughters Abigail and Lily, which makes them Harry and Steve's nieces.
Just found this gem and absolutely love it! Harry's music has always been my favorite, so real, so different and much harder to perform than the average. Thanks!
4 people didn't like this? Wow it's so beautiful it's hard to imagine this getting any negative votes.
God, I love this song :'-(
As his life became shorter, his life and music became more purposeful. We know that he became more intensely involved with world hunger. He so articularlly spent a significant amount of time in his concerts notifying his audience of the world hunger problem. He read off alarming stats from the top of his head about poor starving people. He raised our awareness and we all made an effort to get more involved after the concert. I wish that politicians and celebs would do a better job at reflecting his sentiments of the world hunger problem.
James Mongan The atrocity we now face is : The revenue generated in ONE year via the worlds 2400 or so Billionaires, is enough to solve WORLD poverty/ hunger...SEVEN times over...and yet ...
.it's nice to see Big John Wallace working with a Chapin....
I recognised him just from the back with that head of hair!!

I believe it is.
@@larrywax3638 That's Steve on Keyboard & Tom on Guitar & big Jon on Bass. Harry lives on!!!!
I saw the Chapin Family at the Ovens in 2006 it was a wonderful day, I got to meet Tom, Stephen and Big John, having met Harry back in the 80's we shared a few moments. There has never been a artist like Harry since.
Just saw the sisters last night in Pontiac Michigan @ the Crofoot Ballroom. Wonderful sound and I look forward to seeing them again.
Is that Big John? Outstanding!

k, you are absolutly amazing!
Your gramma Bev told me about your song so of course I had to come and check it out. Very nice voice and I think you have the exact same guitar as my son. You sound very good and I loved hearing you sing. :) Very nice indeed!
I think you have a great voice for country music. Great talent over all, I just think this song is a bit "grown up" for you. Best of luck!
What a sweet voice and smile :) love it! one small tip maybe, try to let the treble strings ring when you change the bass notes. Gives a sweet effect cheers
Were did you get the notes? But aniway you awesome! Marked as a favorite.
