Great session guys, some lovely fish at Weybread and definitely packing on the pounds now
@@TheDrago1882 it’s such a great place to go , well worth a trip there
I have watched a lot of American videos on those trawling motors and they often recommend a circuit breaker switch between the motor and the battery which is pretty cheap and easy to install.
Brought back memories, i last fished there 30 years ago, it was 1.5 acres then , had every species you could think of in there, record carp was 10lb, its matured well. The old guy that owned it lived in the thatched cottage, told me when he bought it, it was a trout pond. Great vid 👍
Thank you so much for your message . Me and Adam love feed back , there is another small lake with some lodges on it. May be you fished this one on the site. It is a lovely place to come and fish. Glad you liked the video , we try our best to make the best we can but we are only doing this to help people and because we love doing it .
@@Adam-wayne034 me too guys
Let me know if you fancy selling!
@@deanjones9401 selling ? I are you taking about the lake ?
Gimana cara ku mendapatkanya di indonesia tidak jual rods ini
Yep that’s the ones I have , bloody great rods . Have you tried tackle tavern ? They are really good
Look nice rods to be fair. After a set of the 12ft 3.5lb version but they are out of stock everywhere.
Great Video, yes electric is quiet, clean and easy. No oil, smell, sound and is very scalable. I have 200lbs of thrust from three motors and pushing 3 tonnes to about 3 knots.
anyone notice the Pike float hanging from the tree...doh! 4:20
Can’t say I have
Great review as I'm thinking of buying one
Well I would say they are great , well made and worth having 👍
So glad you liked the review
What do you think to the channel ?
how much.
a shephards hut is about £160 a night for 2 people , the boat house is about £250 a night and that's for 4 but you need to look on the web site
I know son, let’s sit down and watch a carp video. Oh wait it’s a bunch a half wits who can’t catch a carp without Fucking swearing!
Good review by the way but.... You cant compare it too a petrol outboard at all to be honest because the bison 68 is 696 watts which is equivalent to just under 1HP So even the smallest outboard which is 2.5 horsepower roughly.... Is more than twice thw power.. ...
Cracking fish lads, what lake was this on?
Hi Well it as mallard lake , it the biggest and the first one you come to on the right hand side
Hi, Can this be taken down with the infill panel still attached? Thanks
going for 4 nights tomorrow, any suggestions on rigs? im used to using very subtle hooklinks but at bluebell it doesn't work as well as other lakes.
Hi , well we only went the once . But we where using spinner rigs . I would think multi rigs would be good as well . There is a whole mind field of rigs , I would say they are the best two
Quality work lads was a pleasure to meet you guys top lads 😁👌
your welcome and thanks for letting us use you pics , was a great catch , good angling mate. hope we can catch up with you again
@Adam-wayne034 no worries that would be great could even arrange a session somewhere one day and thanks again 👍
Good effort Wayne, keep them coming!
Well done lads nice video
Thank you very much 👍
Would you say the 10000 pro are to big for 9ft rods or not
They're definitely not as big as the "big pit" reels are. It's all personal preference, but I'd say they would be OK. I think I'd choose smaller ones if I was going to be holding the rod all day.
Hi Steve, did you go for the pro 1000 reels after? If so what's your take on them? I have been asked the same question but I use a 10ft rod so can't give an answer based on experience. I'd be interested to hear how you're getting on with them (if you bought them). Thanks
Hi mate I did go for the fox 10000pro and they are not to bad I think they are great for the smaller rods
Great fishin lads . The anticipation on the last fellas fish weight was priceless. Goodluck
It’s been a long time coming , he was over the moon
Problem solved nice one 👍
Thanks 👍
Great video lads nicely done weĺl done
Thank you so much , means a lot to us 👍
Mainline wafter, fruity squid and big pink. Are these porn star names?
mad what they call things init, nothing can be simple anymore haha
Nice!
Thanks ash , how was the video ? I’m hoping they are getting better
@east anglia fishing I thought it was really well laid out, had a good beginning, middle, and end. I also liked the psychology element with the interview of the catch/missed catch.
Well done guys, cracking session and PB’s all round. I must get down and try this place. Only 45mins away from me as well.
Hi mate , yes you should go , it’s a cracking place . Well worth a visit
Yeh me an too an hour
Why are u taking the end off . I leave the spoon on
I had not thought of leaving it on , but to be fair the way I transport my kit, I think it’s best to take it off for me . How are you finding yours ?
Really helpful review. We're in Norfolk but looking to use an electric motor on a twelve or fourteen foot boat. Have you tried yours out at Blakeney, Morston, Brancaster or Burnham Overy staithes? Do you reckon this engine would be ok in these places a couple of hours either side of high tide. This is when we use our kayak normally, not in the open sea though.
I haven't yet used it anywhere with any serious tide. It coped OK against the flow in a stretch of the Yare with a fair amount of water pushing through. Obviously, I'd err on the side of caution.
going to taswood in april, fished it a few times, what boilies were you using?
Hi Sam Well I try to use the same ones which is mainline cell .
Great production. I think my Wife and I went there in our caravan ( it had touring back in the day ) I fished, she read. I've never been allowed to forget it lol
Hi Richard Yep was nice , if I remember me and Andy had a fish In the night at the same time . I lost mine and he landed his .
Hi there what height is the internal head height.i know the dimensions say 130cm but was not sure if this was the door height.i have a tempest brolly at the moment which is to low. TIA
Nice editing and good review
Thank you so much , we try to help people make the best choice when looking for somewhere
I use a 55lb version as a back up on my Skipper 14 hull I use as a yacht tender. Also use the tender for winter fishing. Having had the petrol fail on me I found against a tide I had to use oars with the motor as I found it rapidly dropped the voltage on a deep cycle 85 ah. For these you need a >110ah AGM or a 100 ah Lithium if you want / need to use them heavily at speds 3-5. However I take a 130w flexible solar panel which typically trickle charges at 30-40w so acts as a good range extender.
Nice, sounds like a good setup. I'd definitely advise on the biggest batteries you can afford or find. Mine are 150Ah.
If I can pick you up on something you said about the dead man cut off, I thought it was a twist throttle therefore if you fell out of the boat you would release the throttle and the engine would stop
Hi, the twist isn't spring loaded, it stays where you put it until you move it again, so if you did part company with the boat, it'd just keep on trucking until it hit something or emptied the battery.
Is it allowed to fish the Broads marked as a National Nature Reserve like Martham Broad or Hickling Broad?
Just bought a set off these in the box there’s a pack off washers do I need to fit these? Thx
Hi , no don’t put them in , they are for if you find the spool line lay is wrong . Then you have to fit them in . But I’m not sure where you have to put them in . You should find you don’t need them 👍
Is the bag waterproof? I have the Avid Carp cot and the bag is very similar. Unfortunately, it's not waterproof so water goes through with the stink. In the car, it's not great... Thank you
I don’t know , i will check it out and let you know 👍
@@Wayne034 thanks, I'd really appreciate it.
hi , well the whole thing is water proof as the fish has to go on it. but the bag is not i don't think , not sure how help full this is but for me this was not a problem. i have not been so well of late so have not been out on the bank but when i do i will double check for you
I have booked the boat house for 4 nights off the back of East Anglia fishing blog and video I will make sure they know this as well mate.thanks.
Thank you so much , We are glad you liked the video . It helps greatly people liking and sharing the videos . We are not ones to tell people to do it and it great you have booked . It is such a nice place there . Hope you have a great time . If your fishing don’t forget the margins
Gets rid of bailiff and venue gets KHV. Owner clueless
That’s sad to hear 🥲
Petrol motor + fuel = ??lbs v electric motor + battery = ??lbs, I think it will even it's self out. So cost of a 4 HP petrol out board v cost of electric motor and battery. Efficiency is the key which will give you more bang for your bucks. Personally the petrol wins.
The electric motor is considerably more efficient than a petrol one. All the noise & heat generated by the petrol one is wasted energy (even though I enjoy that in my car). However, petrol is a lot higher energy density than the batteries, so you'll get further, faster with petrol. It's a personal choice. For a sportscar, I'd always want petrol but for the boat I love how quiet, clean, and easy the electric motor is.
@@Adam-wayne034 Not talking about efficiency, just weight. But the petrol engine is more cost-effective and has a far greater range. When a petrol engine runs out of fuel, there is nothing to go to the land fill. When a battery dies, off to the land fill it goes, and it will stay there for thousands of years. The petrol engine will far out live the electric engine, as the electric engine will have a shelf life built in by the manufacturers. Making for yet more land fill.
@@pacman4568 Please can you tell me where this land fill is, I will take all the lead acid batteries you want. Yes I agree the couple of hundred grams of plastic is waste but recyclable, even the acid can be neutralised easily. Leaving just the lead which is, from the way it goes missing from church rooves, is always in demand. We are not talking about NiMH or Li batteries, boats especially sailing boats need ballast, to a point the more the better.

Hey bro, thank you for video, looks great. What battery do you recommend for the 68Ibs motor for a small RIB (what make) Thanks 😊 Did you say 130ah batts?
Hi, I'm using "ProBat" ones, and haven't had any problems, but longevity is the test & I can't comment on that yet. Bosch and Varta both have good reputations but are more expensive. The main thing is to get deep cycle leisure batteries, you wouldn't want to run it on a car battery. Yep, I've got two 130ah. 👍
@@Adam-wayne034 Ok thanks for your reply, suggestions etc. Another guy on utube suggested a LiFePO4 battery because of their advantages - weight, discharge rate, recharge cycles/longevity etc etc to list just a few but they're so so expensive and I dont think varta and bosch manufacturer LiFePO4 batteries anyway. Decisions Decisions hey, thanks.
I'm considering buying the X but I can't seem to find a single video where they show the groundsheet more thoroughly.. I'm used to having fixed groundsheet, how does this compare? Does the clips straighten the sheet or is it all wrinkly? Also does it do the job to close any gaps so that insects and other creatures won't come in through the sheet? All the best mate
I've never had a fixed one, so hard to compare. The clips work well though, and there's a decent margin at the bottom of the sides for it to sit over. It's the best one I've owned, but some of the previous ones I've had have probably been a bit ropey.
What they like
Hi , Well I have the 6-8 ft ones and I tried them a few times . The biggest test was I France . Had a 32lb common on it and it was great , handled it very well. So I would think if your doing normal fishing in the uk , then it probably would be great. It would be nice to try some of the mash ones but saying that for the price the fox ones were great. Hope this helps
there is no info on Fox webpage... wtf.. i have set of two -first expl.series 8/10 ft ... 3 LB and 4.25.. wer 100 euros a peace in croatia.. now the cost over 150 E... this new 6ft are a mistery.. no info....
and yes... new regular fox tt are 350 euro.. the plan is to sell my fox and go to Nash dwarfs or scope / there is much more for the buck.. and Nash started first in this ....
that is true , and the nash ones are very good . a friend of mine has some. but i can only tell you about the ones i have and they have been great, are they worth the money ..well i would say they are. in the uk they are quite cheep and very good
Would it be OK on the river Orwell and the river stour in Suffolk I would go out to sea with but just up the rivers near me
I've never been in a boat on those rivers, so I don't 100% know what they're like. It coped fine on a wide stretch of the river Yare in Norfolk, where there's a mild tidal influence. Personally I'd be reluctant to take it to sea, but if in doubt, I'd see if the RNLI can advise you - there's some good info on their website for a start, their guide to life jackets is well worth a look.
If going to sea Id generally recommend a petrol OB with an electric as a back up. For a 68Ib thrust model you really need a 100ah lithium which are less than £250 these days.
If you consider to buy a new bivvy you should look at the Fox R Series 1 Man XL too. It has an inbuild peak to prevent rain coming in, lots of extra headroom, and much more space. Including a sturdy frame, heavy groundsheet, and big mozzy screens for ventilation at a very good price range.
Thanks for this great video - just got one of these and I am looking forward to getting it out on the water!
Hey, thanks, I'm glad it helped. I often use TH-cam for reviews myself. The RNLI have a good video on their website about choosing the right life jacket, that has to be recommended viewing. Hope you enjoy your motor!
This is so cool
Thank you 👍
Please guys cut the crap , show us the terminal tackle and how its fished, the video could be just 5 mins long. I dont want to see you driving or throwing in bait. Thanks Its all a bit slow Regards

adam is using fox 10,000 pros on them , quite a nice reel for them we think
