I wish I’d watched the fu video before doing my chain. I pushed the pin out completely. Was an absolute nightmare putting it back through, needed about 6 hands!! Will bars this in mind for next time

adjustable wrenches are great in a pinch ,,but should be used as primary spanner .

You need to make sure the wheel isn't too far forward or back, so the brake pads contact the rim properly. So if you join the chain length and set the wheel position before considering this, you might have wasted a lot of time, and possibly a chain. This video makes it look easier than it actually is.

Thanks for the explanation and video. Many of us want to learn this stuff but never take the initiative so we NEVER PROGRESS in our skillset. You are a great teacher and we hope you will do some more of these videos....such as adjusting the gear cables, changing out the gears, etc.

Surely if the wheel was correctly tensioned to begin with, it now isnt, as you loosened one side one turn, and tightened the other sides spokes 2 turns?

i bought an used singlespeed recently, i notice the chain doesn't have tension at all, also there isn't space for the wheel to be pulled, its maxed out, i guess i'll have to take out some links.. thanks for the vid!

Oh really.For 5 days i spared on the hub rear wheel socket,d.w. forty and the back side of the freewheel and tapped it too.when my park too wrench and free wheel remover tool for shimanon came .It was still froze .I would not budge to remove the freewheel .I used a 7 foot cheater pipe and it would not move .I am force to call Schwinn to get a back wheel replacement or go to a repair shop and pay over 100 dollars .They told me I need to buy used 300 dollars bicycle ,last time i was up their That gods dammed freewheel is cemented in the wheel !
