Video Conference Don't Do List (For Zoom, Skype, or any other platform)
Gordon Adelsberg's Video Chat Do's and Don'ts. Well....mostly the Do NOT. Don't look silly when it's so easy to look professional! You don't need expensive equipment. In fact, I filmed this entire video with conference call equipment as opposed to a professional camera. I used the onboard camera on my old Dell laptop and a $58 external microphone.
Here's the takeaway: REMOVE THE DISTRACTIONS!!!
1. Camera Angle
2. Lighting
3. Audio

Value Stream Map - What is it? How do we use it?
มุมมอง 307K7 ปีที่แล้ว
How much of what we do adds value, and how much is waste? A value stream map can help you quantify how much of a business process actually adds value, how much is waste, and how much the waste costs You can use this analytical tool for manufacturing, legal document processing, health care, and a myriad of other business processes. Here are some more examples I show on LinkedIn: bit.ly/UnlockHid...

Six sigma methodology gives you a robust structure - a roadmap - and several statistical tools to get there. 10 days x 24 hours / day = 240 hours. You can choose 8 hours per day, 16, or any other number that makes sense for your company.

    ●Das ist eine didaktisch hervorragend gestaltete Erklärung. ●Geschickt wird der -Mengen-Strom mittels Preisen zu einem -Wertestrom verknüpft. ●Sofort wird ersichtlich, dass nicht jede Eliminierung im Mengen-Strom (Zeit,Stück) ökonomisch Sinn macht. ●Die einseitige technische Optimierung hat schon bei vielen Unternehmen den Gewinn gesenkt. ●Therapie (Lean) erfolgreich, Patient (Betrieb) tot. ●Das hat auch mit dem kulturellen Hintergrund zu tun. In Japan spielen die Kapitalmärkte keine grosse Rolle. In den USA schon. ●MAGA!

    • @murbacchiu
      @murbacchiu 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      if you are used to lean manufacturing it is not a "micromanaging tool among others" it is the starting point to figure out where to intervene. The video is giving only a glance of its potential and it is not even complete in all its parts. Video is dove for commercial purposes which is quite obvious . Pls mention one tool similar to VSM. :)

    Hello Sir, Can u please explain the difference between Value stream mapping and Process Mapping, i.e. Purpose and usage. Thank You

    • @gordonadelsberg521
      @gordonadelsberg521 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shiva, the difference, at the way I use them, is that a process map is qualitative while a value stream map is quantitative. I use a process to show who does what and in what order. I use a value stream map to quantify the waste in a process. Here's a link to my process mapping course: www.udemy.com/course/communication-for-geeks-tools-process-map/

    The assumption is that a workday is 24 hours long. Should we use 8 hours in our calculations?

    • @communicationforgeeks5102
      @communicationforgeeks5102 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use either one, it depends on what makes sense for your company. Remember, you want to show value-added work vs non-value-added work. If your value add is 2%, 5% or even 10%, your actions to improve the process will be quite similar.

    • @loghorizon45
      @loghorizon45 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It could be the case that this manufacturer runs 3 shifts a day to keep the machines running. With an output like this it wouldn't make sense at all but for the sake of modelling this value stream, it makes it easier to understand.
