    Make sure you’re including which 24mm lens you’re talking about: there’s a 24mm EF version that’s also an option. The EFs version (pancake) is what you’re using I believe and make sure you’re also taking into consideration the crop factor

    Hey there, I had a question that was on my mind for a long time, if I want to use the 50mm lens with a canon adapter ('cause my camera is canon rp, and I can't use EF mount lenses without an adapter), is it gonna increase the focal length? For example, take the 50mm to 60mm or even higher?

    This was a helpful video. Which lens do you suggest for making close up baking videos? (like ones where I won't be in the shot and only the item I am making will be)

    • @galacticgrizz3951
      @galacticgrizz3951 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For that, I would personally go with the 50mm. It will allow you to keep the camera out of your way a bit more so you can move around, while being cropped in on the thing you are making. (Unless you want the camera to be fairly close to the item.) But either should work. The main deciding factor is where you want the camera to be set up for your videos.

    • @marcs8325
      @marcs8325 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have both and use them with a 250d. The 50 mm is nice for portraits, the 24 is more general purpose. With a crop factor of 1.6 you get 38 mm on the 24, and 80 mm on the 50. So the 50 mm lens is a lot more "zoomed in". I like the primes because of their small size and low weight.

  • @Syncroschannel
    @Syncroschannel 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Bought 24mm expecting a much sharper and contrasty lens than the 18-55...very hard to tell the difference... prime has a tiny bit more contrast, focuses a little closer, and better in low light.. but if you are expecting a night and day improvement you will be left a little disappointed imo...

      It really depends on the venue, what situation you are in, and what shots you're wanting. The 50mm will allow you to get shots from further away, which is less intrusive, but it will be a bit difficult to get wide shots. If you're in a tight space, or want wide shots, the 24mm would probably be better.
