How to create a secure knot when jointing two yarns together. I used two different colors just to show you which yarn to pull to secure a good join.

I use this to create beanies so that it doesn't create an obvious line in the hat.

To crochet a hat or beanie without the line in the back of your work.
Omg thank you for being detailed!!❤
Thanks for the instructions. It worked like a charm.
A square knot works as well.
Teşekkür ederim bende yaptım 🎉❤
Thank you! This was super helpful!
Wow 😔😔
I give up. Tried it 5 times. Just going to make a regular knot. 😢
i was so livid that my yarn broke 🤣 thank you
the best way of joining yarn so far! thanks for sharing :)
Thank you for this!!!! It is life changing!!!!
Wey clear, thank You!! 👍👍👍
What is this knot called?
Would this work on a sock heel?
Would this work for lace weight?
It seems I get it but after some time if I want to make it I forget it. So invisible knot for me.
Nice
I do this knot all the time now. So easy and reliable. Thank you so much for teaching this knot.
You helped a brotha out thx
Thanks
This is awesome. Thanks so much!!!
Amazing.
THANK YOU!! I have been able to download it so now I can 'watch' it, when I'm at my machine - Terri :-)
I was struggling for a very long time trying to figure out how to join yarn. I'm a beginner and I'm trying out a knitted hat as a gift this Christmas. I was working along and then suddenly my yarn was in two! I was shocked and worried because I thought it would be awhile until I had to join yarn as I'm working with a rather large ball. I quickly searched for videos to help me learn and I just couldn't grasp the idea. They moved too quickly and I couldn't see their fingers. I decided to give this video a try and it worked! I've successfully joined yarn for the first time! Thank you so much for your help, this video was so very helpful.
So glad I could help. Happy knitting!
Your camera angle and clear instructions helped me learn my mistake .Thank you for teaching us miss!
I’m glad I could help. It’s funny because I had my iPad on a sofa seat cushion and recorded with my hands in front. Lol. No fancy equipment needed!
It's really easy once you get the hang of it ☺️. Tyfs God bless you
Thank you, thank you! I have watched three other videos repeatedly and could never get this to work until I found your video! I did it! Thank you again!
I did it!!! 😍♥️ Thankyou!
Glad I could help. Happy crafting!
I've been using many colors in my knitting and I've had many, many ends to weave in. I just went looking for a method of avoiding weaving in ends, and I like yours best. Haven't tried it yet, but I'm about to do that. I wish you'd make more videos.
Thank you so much !
IT WORKED! I was pleasantly surprised.
Nice explanation of this method, thank you so very much!
When I tried this, it still leaves a big knot! I am using worsted weight yarn. Might be better with #2 or #3 but not for #4. I’ll continue to weave in ends. I don’t want big knots in my work.
I agree, it does work better with thinner yarns. 💜
Thank you. X
mine just pulls apart 😭😭
Thank you so much 🙏👍
Your video is my absolute go to👏 Works everytime so nice 😊
Does it matter which yarn is the working yarn?
I don’t think so. Once you secure it into a knot and tug on it, i don’t think it matters.
so helpful! thanks :)
Doesn't work with Alpakka yarn... too "slippery". Can't seem to find a tutorial anywhere for joining Alpakka yarn
Thank you for your wonderful tutorial!
Works everytime ~
Took me a few tries because of the type of yarn I’m using but finally got it right!! This is a huge help!
Well, apparently one must have the correctly shaped thumb. A total no go for me. Love what you can do. My thumb and finger make an X and won’t go almost parallel as yours do. I still love it, though.
I have tried this over 100 times and I can't get it. I've had other people try it and they haven't done it either. Please advise
christine botelho it works well with wool yarn. Although in this video, I did use acrylic yarn. Softer yarns like Caron simply soft do not work well as it’s a slippery yarn. I hope this helps.
i can not do this to save my life! i get the first loop off but can never get the second :((( pulling the string always comes out between my thumbs
Idk what I am doing wrong. I have tried your technique, can't say how many times, and for some reason I tug to make tight and one comes out of the knot. Please help me figure this out.
Thank you so much! Was looking for a new way to connect both yarns. Very easy and very helpful!
I loved your video! I've seen others videos with this technique but they're so fast and with your video I could made it in my first attempt. THANK YOU
you said in the end secure not! so it is knot secured, I guess knot
Wow that was easy to follow!
