Bench 105kg max PR
This felt like it went pretty easy. Usually a new max weight always feels a bit of a grind. Training had been going well and I’d been making the weekly increases, but an up coming gap in training convinced me to try for a new max.
My training is quite often unavoidably interrupted, often multiple weeks at a time. This isn’t ideal for any lift but for me particularly seems to stall progress with the bench. Starting training weights after time off have improved on squats & deads. But bench I’ve mostly been training between 85kg to 95kg. Even so it still appears I’m making some strength gains.

Deadlift 182.5kg max PR ... Finally!

Had more failed attempts at 182.5 than I care to remember 🙂 Think it was more of a mental block than strength issue...180kg has been fine(ish) Currently running Madcow, but for deadlift I'm just warming up then doing the top given set of 5, then I hit a max for the day. Squat fail then 150kg PR followed by 155kg PR

Pretty much whole of December off (and didn't manage to get much training in November either) so run grey skull for 6 weeks then week 7 took a deload and did some maxes. Fail was a random max attempt in one of the first weeks after completing working sets.
Get back to 180kg deadlift and 182.5kg attempt failures

November/December months left me with pretty much no training time for one reason or another, so January was the rebuild. Chucked in a few singles after the working sets.

First PR in awhile. Hit safety on the way down which nearly ended this! Started training with a belt which has actually lowered my max lifts while i get used to it! Squat is the first to recover and see gains.

Finally hit my first major strength goal of lifting 100kg on bench, 140kg squat and 180kg deadlift, so wrapped these up in a vid. Lifts were all within same week(ish), and was first time I hit these numbers for deadlift and squat. Excellent timing as I'd decided following week I was going to switch focus to running for a few months so will be a while before I hit these weights again! Still lift...
