For me the trickiest part right now is how in the world do I come up with the 25-28k to go
I don’t knw how to network and runs good ads
That is pretty amazing!
#1 - I don't know how to weld.
#2 - smell bad
Here is my story as it pertains to your 1st subject. I started as an apprentice plumber/fitter for Local 85 in the mid-60’s. After about 1 year I could see where that when work went slack locally I was going to have to travel. As being married, starting a family, &building a house I decided I didn’t want to go on the road. I applied to work at Dow Chemical which is a hometown company and got hired. Within just a few years I earned 2 journeyman cards (journeyman welder & journeyman pipe fabricator) I was ASME qualified in all materials & welding processes used in Dow. Later, my career as a tradesman was recognized by the head of the Welding Engineering Dept and I was offered a job as a Non-Degreed Welding Engr! I have always been extremely grateful that I chose to stay local and not travel! Since many of the men I worked with from Local 85 still live in my town, I see no evidence of anything other than an easily comparable standard of living except the majority of them have been divorced at least once. They will tell you that the temptations of living away from home and family can cause a heavy burden & stress on relationships! That’s my career lifetime story!
Whistlin dieslels responsible brother?
True with a lot of tramp jobs miners, welders, linemen, and plant maintenance, etc... its part of blue collar work.
You made a hero out of trump❤
What is the most common issue new welders face? for me, I need to get better at math.
Mannnnnn......me too. I hate math but ur gonna need it if you want to be more sought after
Wtf what kind of math are you guys doing while welding ???
@@Street-ty7ceif you're fabricating, even something miniscule, you'll need to know at least how to add and subtract fractions. More complicated structures even require some knowledge of trigonometry.
@@allennice1if you’re fabricating and fitting then I understand. But I’m talking strictly welding.
what size plasma cutter do I need to cut 1.75 mm metal
She is an awesome lady! She helped us become a level 1/2 school starting in August and thanks for your school as well for a role model.
Myself I don’t have to call them they call me and I’m not kissing any ass.
Oh my God the welder of the future 😂😂😂.
A lot of welders like to be drunk, high and sleep around … and they have nothing to do with God and they blow every $ they make …. Lol you are saying it as i am typing it … BUILD a future guys !!!! Build a legacy !!!! If you just look for a “good time” then you’ll find that … build a future and prioritize what you really want ….. and life will get you there …. Make plans WITH GOD not without ….
You have to crawl under the pipe to put your other 4 or 5 passes in, so why does it matter if you look through the gap on the root?
I second this
Thank you for convincing me I’m not making a mistake choosing my school. They offer 2 years and I get AWS in the first and AWS after the second
I don't mind working 6 days a week, but I really don't wanna do the 7. I gotta get my Saturday off.
Yall hireing 😂
Dont you have to retest everywhere you go
How do I deal with cutting a weld using a grinder? I normally hook it into a vice and just start cutting, and end up using a whole wheel and usually end up getting kick-back 2-4 times. Is there a better way or not?
👾
If you think welding is just hood down. You are not a welder. Its trade Work. I reiterate, work.
lil guy should have stayed you can tell this man would have taught him everything he knows and made him a bunch of money
Dont look green and dont weld green either 😂😂😂
Please stfu. Im certified through AWS and UA and you don’t see me posting some captain obvious bullshit. Quit posting dumb shit, just like every “ so called welder “ posting ignorant opinions or a terrible way to stack dimes, annoying, not only that you’re no golden glove because real welders don’t tuck their ears or wear scarfs around our neck.
We in Zack D Hills now 😂
Practice, practice, practice. 😅
I didn’t know high school welding classes were still a thing. I thought schools didn’t want the risk of injury.
Eliminated more because of funding, because of George W Busch's "No child left behind" policy.
I started wanting to weld because of KWI, then I went to a local technical college to learn the basic of welding and I absolutely love it I’m also taking pipe fitting classes but this video just confirms that I’m on the right path before I attend KWI next year
What a great video…. People can’t do basic stuff these days anymore
How muxh you make now?
Not knocking the schools but just a tip for anyone needing an AWS certification, you don’t need to enroll in a program in order to obtain one.
So when you weld over there you become KFC in long term rit? ... It's by the saying. !" You gotta burn to learn rit? " BR from CPH airport
This school also has a 95% graduate rate and 10-1 teacher ratio pretty amazing
I wonder if this guy has ever welded in the field.
Kegan is 27 and has been Welding in industry for eight years, has welded in the Virgin Islands and all over the United States for specialty companies like universal plant services and Inserv.
Yes. It will certainly cost you time and money to be there.
Its good to see a female, I have been trying to find some female welders because I plan on going to welding school soon and I almost felt alone because I dont see much females. Thanks, keep going lets bring more women into the industry!
That test is UA63 Unlimited Wall Thickness. I just don’t understand the root pass. It looks too thick and hanging down in the pipe, which will create turbulence. Maybe it just because of the camera. My roots look like a wedding band. Slick and flush all the way around. I’m not saying this is wrong, or that it won’t shoot. Just different, that’s all.
Also since I can’t edit my comment, this test you’re given 4 hours to do. No need to rush. That causes mistakes, and the inspector will get your money.
I get the speed part, but let's not be telling guys in school how important it is to be fast. Doing it over is going to take a lot more time. That's a guarantee. Learn to do it right. Then learn to get faster while maintaining the standard. Companies want a lot of things, but they won't tolerate mistakes just because you're fast.
Correct, speed comes with time but being fast and good will get you on jobs quicker and staying on the jobs longer. That’s what Kegan is saying.
He makes that look too easy...
KEGAN DA BEST ‼️‼️‼️
Y'all teach chrome cuni and duplex?
So you guys are involved with skills? How did you do it?
Im really shaky but it seems like when i strike up it goes away
6???
Hey where can I message you at I have a few questions
Im 60 days clean and signed up for welding school. I start in 4 days. Happy to have found this video
You can see in their faces it's not about the drugs it's about the money. It was never about the drugs, as long as it's funded from others it's about the funds
Very biased answer.
I'm trying to join that clean house brother looking to better my self as a man as well 💪🏽
