    Hmmm - "If" You put eye bolts at rear corners, a steel (or aluminum) bar with loops could be inserted and the rear lip edge would not be obstructed or compromised for slick dumping or raking leaves into / out of trailer. (just quick thought at begining). Nice job !

      It's a simple enough design, so making a competent copy isn't that hard. I suspect the biggest quality variability on these cheap units is in the electronic controls and the programming in them. The other stuff is commodity. Cast aluminum, injection molded plastic, and a heating element and temp sensor. It's dead simple stuff.

    Great video. Any sketchy sections on the road?

    • @alaskanhomesteading
      @alaskanhomesteading 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @Chistochina The road is overall not bad. They've added a wooden ramp at the very beginning after the bridge over O'Brien, which is nice. Though it may be slick if it's wet. Later on, there's a rockfall that nearly blocks the trail, but if you go slowly you can just drive around it. My UTV has a burned up clutch, and even on the steep sections we were able to get through it. There's really nothing on that road I'd call sketchy, as far as being unsafe or risky. Just slow down around the many blind curves so you don't hit anyone head-on.

    Change the green fuel line that is supplied with some of these heaters...it is not compatible with the pumps and is not fit for purpose.....it flexes too much and causes air bubbles and diminishes the flow of the fuel due to the minute stroke of the pump....Purchase some `hard` nylon type fuel line ( normally white)...you will have far less problems ...especially at higher output settings.

    I'm in Newbrunswick, Canada and run a vevor diesel heater to heat my mancave. I find that the filter for the intake that vevor provides is garbage in extreme cold conditions. The filter collects ice crystals in turn, clogging the filter and suffocating the system, causing extreme smoking. I removed the filter and have had no recurring problems. Once and awhile, it is also a good idea to run your heater on high to burn off any soot in the system...

    If you are filtering your fuel and intake air, you should not be getting such a buildup inside the exchanger. Keep things clean (and don't burn anything but diesel in it) and you will be good to go! So many are burning waste oil or veggie oil mixed with kerosene and other kinds of fuel in those heaters and wondering why the buildup? Well, they're not made to burn that crap! It's a diesel heater made to burn diesel.

  • @thegrimreaper7777
    @thegrimreaper7777 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Your problem was trying to burn vegetable oil, doing that blocked up the bleed air hole and it was a downward slope from there. You should run it at full power BEFORE turning it off, not turn it down before turning it off, the more it runs at full power, the less build up you'll get in the burn chamber, that heater was pretty clean other than the starting circuit being gummed up from the veg oil. If you get into the settings, check the max fan speed is 4000 or less, the motor won't last long over 4K rpm, drop the max fuelling a point or two if you reduce the max fan speed to ensure you don't over fuel it. Yes the fuel filter is technically the wrong way round but the mesh is so big that it won't make anydifference, don't worry about the air bubbles in the line, the pump created them, but it keeps pushing fuel in one end si it can only come out the other end, the heater won't suffer for a few bubbles in the line.

Chlorinated and fluorinated solvents break down with enough heat and make nasty shit like HF, HCl, and phosgene.
