I don't know there was such mechanism on that seal. What an advanced technology.
This movie kicks so much ass
So much in so few words.
Remake: Indiana's Mom's boyfriend texts him "hmu dawg. come home for Netflix and chill and its ok if you wear a dress"
I just got schooled. Thank you. Steven is the master.
This movie predicted Frozen 2013
It was Elsa’s greed and stubbornness that led to her demise, wasn’t it?
My ex girlfriend was named ailsa Clark but it’s spelt different
And to think that Ronald Reagan and Ann Sheridan were originally going to play Rick and Lisa... can't imagine the film being anywhere near as special had that occurred
This is why you make a second copy of the holy grail😂🎉
Knight: “Well y’all just jacked everything up didn’t ya?”
Indy was trying to get the grail to gain his father's approval- Henry sr. Realizes this only then and tells him he's had his approval all along. They went around the world to discover what they wanted was always with them.
Poor Elsa, she couldn’t let it go
The fall never bothered her anyway
Look closely at 1:13. Alison Doody is clearly landing on a mat.
This is so powerful scene not just for the movie, but for life in general. Sometimes we are so very close, so close, but we have to let it go. If it's very hard for you at the moment, think about what you already have and just let it go
Such a beautiful father son moment in a perfect film.
I’m glad Henry Sr. chose his son over the Holy Grail. He looked for that cup his whole life, and now that he’s found it, he decides to move on from it. And he convinced Indy to do the same. Besides, the grail wasn’t supposed to be taken from the temple anyway.
My favorite movie with 2 of my favorite actors
There was really never a need to find the Grail because there was already a source of immortality that is only accessible to Catholics and Orthodox: the Eucharist which allows us to eat the body and blood of Jesus. St. Ignatius of Antioch even referred to the Eucharist as the medicine of immortality. Donovan wanted to become immortal, but he never realized there already was a source of it. In the end, the Grail is just an object. The real source of immortality is the Eucharist.
@@Powerranger-le4up can you back this claim up scripturally? The giving of the bread and wine were in remembrance of the blood and body of Christ, and for the remission of sins. I don’t see anywhere in the New Testament that states that those who partake of the bread and wine were to become immortal, and to my knowledge most of the apostles are Christ died.
i didn't let it go I still name dogs cos I am a dog with Gods
A lot turned our just right on Casablanca: Curtis did a fantastic job, and so did the writers and actors. But having read up on the film a bit, I don't think Curtis was the unifying factor, since he was often one of the most confused on set, although he created magic with his use of dark/light etc. If we have to pick one person to praise for the "rock solid" feel of the final product it's Hal Wallis. He was the one in the whole studio with the most faith in Casablanca, he picked most of the people to work on the movie, and decided to add bits and pieces to both the beginning and ending last minute (including the famous "beautiful friendship" line) to make it all come together.
The origin of _Frozen_
I watched this with my brother the other day. When Elsa died, he said “Elsa died” so casually and it was hilarious.
Henry Jones picked the safety of his son over the grail. The cup will stay lost. This time it'll be forever.
The treasure he spent ages searching finally been found only for the end to choose the life of his son over the grail. Beautiful
I like lauras nails.
I think Casablanca is the best movie of all time!
The Holy Grail was his entire life. It even saved him. But in the end, he has chosen wisely.
An awesome scene from a Sean Connery and Harrison Ford classic. I think that the moral theme of this scene is that there are some things we must give up to get the life we desire. What do you think?
It's like Henry spent 40 years hunting the Holy Grail, and Indy spending so many years searching for artifacts was partly to try to get the approval of his father and was part of his boyhood fantasy of being an adventurer. Coming to terms with letting that go and their relationship being more important than any of that is so great. There seems to be a recurring theme that some items SHOULD be lost in the Indiana Jones films. They're too dangerous in the wrong hands.
Indy chose wisely twice that day
It just proves that Casablanca is THE greatest movie of all time
Whenever I think of Indiana jones, this is the line I remember the most.
So this is why Elsa sings about letting go in Frozen.
Well done!
the connection between the car crash and the suicide is rather revelatory for me, would never have even thought about that
I actually confess I accidentally watched this entire movie alone without any parental guidance when I was 6 years old. Although there were some pre-teens watching the movie with me at the time I just say that I watched the movie without any adult supervision. Didn't know what PG-13 was at the time.
Could’ve climbed back up and then worked out how to get it
Every time I see indie's dad say Indiana Indiana. It's like god is talking just the way he says it. How I imagine God kind great good friend.
Many people hope they don't do a remake of this film, well, a black director/producer has announced an all black remakes of The Wizard of Oz and It's a Wonderful Life, so , Casablanca and Gone with the Wind is not out of the question! Oh, and they're working on a remake of Singing in the Rain, too!
I love this scene. Sometimes your life is worth more than a treasure or an Ancient Artifact.
I really wish they would've ended Indiana Jones here. The perfect ending.
It's almost like his entire life of searching for artifacts was to please and get the approval of his father. The boyhood fantasy that ended.
Finally got what he wanted his dad to call him Indiana
"Let it go. Because we know where it is now, we can come back and dig it up later." 🙂
I like how Uncharted 4 points out that slightly more reckless looters who don't care about preservation can just use TNT to blast their way into places that are covered up.
best summary of the show ever made not even joking
Great points about a great film.
The change from Junior to Indiana is golden
In the end, it's just an empty cup.
When you realize Jones Sr. only told him to let it go so he could be the One person in the world with the power of Eternal life.
Could set up an xbox and just play online forever
America. America. Let it go.
