After installing the Injen Cold Air Intake on my Fiesta, I wasn't too impressed with how it sounded. After researching the Ford Fiesta ST forums I have found that most people claim that the stock intake out performs or performs just as good as the aftermarket options. I decided to install one anyways and to my disappointment it didn't make much of a difference in sound given I don't have a proper BOV installed on the car. Pops and bangs are so annoying. But the ST wicked little motor. I really want one.😂
Hunkajunk.....
Love the vids quick question where did you get that evap harness???
Might be a little late but when you reset the ecu put the car in accessory mode for like 10 seconds before actually starting the car. it gives the throttle body enough time to calibrate and it should start right up. Usually it will crank for a couple seconds if you dont wait because of the car trying to calibrate but if you wait and then start it, it should start like normal.
Not a fan of BOV noises. I prefer the recirculating BOV's. This seems to be something younger folks like that we outgrow as we get older. I'm 51 now and prefer people not hear me coming.
Have the same wheel and suspension set up , what size did you go for the tires?
Crazy is I went from fist to Wrx only reason I got the Wrx is because my fist got flooded and I’m not gonna lie I miss driving the fist more than the Wrx even tho I love my Wrx
I am so glad I bought my fiesta st with a cobb downpipe and cobb cat back exhaust!! Got 55k and runs like a champ.
what head unit is that?
It's the Idoing head unit from ali express
P0420 for cat efficiency would need the extender on the secondary sensor (o2 sensor) downstream from where the cat would be. the front sensor is your AFR sensor and you do not want to be tricking that one as your ECU is adjusting fuel in closed loop fueling based on what it's reading. How's your car been running?
I haven't had the brz for almost 2 years now but it ran perfectly when I had it. I keep getting calls from subaru saying that it needs to be fixed so I have no idea what the new owner is doing to it lol
you from NV?
Why is this guy always having orgasm off some pops and bangs. Like he never heard of it before…
Too much swearing
Mine was super easy I just changed it this year and it’s a 15 but use kroil dude it badass stuff loosens every bolt it touches
I just put these on to replace the $1100 entry levels that I've been running for the past few years and these ride even five times better, super impressed
what if I put 2 o2spacer on it. Would it give it any effect ? Is it safe to drive it with two o2spacer connected ?
Hey bro, do you have the premium model?
15:43 what did you do with the connection for the wires? (White plug)
I just tucked it away and zip tied it. They sell a cel defender for the bpv but it didn’t throw a code so I haven’t needed it
😂😅😂😅
pretty good build brother, good luck, but still a 1000w psu is overkill.....
better to be safe than sorry! I've had a power supply blow up in the past lol, never taking that risk again...
Nice vid! Was wondering if you had to do a BIOS Flash for the 7900x?
nope but i did have to install my WiFi/ LAN drivers to get windows 11 installed
When you said subaru called you and said your warranty is gone I started dying laughing lmao
They still call me to this day even after I told them I don’t own the car anymore
Would a J shaped defouler be easier to install and a better fit than the blox racing you used that goes straight out from the bung hole?
How’s the drone with the mbrp exhaust?
It's not bad at all, it rarely drones even after installing a downpipe.
@@cjespi_ That’s great! I’m looking to buy a Fiesta with an mbrp exhaust already installed, that’s why I asked. Thanks for the reply!
@@tobias8322 I'm also just used to driving loud cars with my fiesta being one of the quietest that I've owned so maybe take my opinion with a grain of salt. But if you do notice drone a symposer delete will help a lot.
@@cjespi_ I see, thanks for the help bro!
How’s your mpg with the header and defouler with no tune?
Wanted these, but i had to go back to my first love of Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2s in 16 or 15x8; Can beat the look, quality and how well they take track abuse.
War - Chester - shire , it’s not that hard
U should had went catless or something, the main way to get any sound out our subies is the j pipe
Man i'm happy to see people are still making content as if its a new adventure. All the stuff i did when i first bought mine 6 yeras ago.
As a fellow FIST owner I have a few suggestions. 1) get a turbo technics s280. 2)get a single port aux fuel injector. 3) ditch Dizzy and go with JST on a full E85 tune. That should get you to around 350whp. Mine right now is at 372whp with all of that plus upgraded injectors, tubular manifold, and high flow cat
I've been eyeballing the s280 turbo which is why I relocated my BOV, I haven't really looked into injectors yet but I'll check them out, and as far as E85 goes, I just don't find it to be worth getting a tune for since I have to get it from out of state or pay a shit ton to get it from local performance shops. But I'll check out JST, I went with dizzy since he was recommended so much on the forums but I'll see what he can pull of with 91 OCT
@@cjespi_ that is unfortunate about the E85. They sell it everywhere here in southern California. And it goes for half the price of 91. I have used custom tunes from Dizzy, Stratified, and JST, and JST did the big turbo and aux fuel tunes for me and also gives me revisions to compensate for summer/winter weather conditions. If you are not going to run ethanol then upgraded Bosch injectors should be all you'll need. The auxiliary fuel system might be a little overkill for a 91 octane tune, although it does help to keep your intake valves clean. If you ever need a recommendation on parts, Ron at Whoosh has always answered any email I've sent him within an hour or 2. He is a wealth of knowledge on the fiesta. We'll, I can't wait to see what you do to it next. Good luck
before i tuned mine i had the p0420 code had all the issues stated and I couldnt use cruise control
Love your channel. The layout of the vids is on point 👍🏻
Heck ya man! Great to see!!! Was there a good difference between stage 1 & 2? Almost seems like 2 is just more cooling. Does that extra cooling let dizzy push more power out with stage 2?
I can definitely say that I can feel a bit of a difference between the two but, the biggest thing with the intercooler is that it keeps the cylinder temps down which allows dizzy to make more power without causing knock.
@@cjespi_ Very nice!! Thanks man!! Did you have the exhaust in stage 1 as well or you just put it on with stage 2?
I love the fiesta content man
Blasphemy
Did you have a rough idle after installing the header and o2 spacer?
nope, the only thing I've noticed is that it runs a little lean on cold starts. Just make sure you only put the defouler on the post cat bung so it wont affect your AFR's
Sadly can only afford catless UEL Header so I just put the spacer by the primary bung as most TH-camrs did. Thinking of running this + Cobb setup and just get a custom tune for cold starts and such. Thanks for the reply!@@cjespi_
Glad I sold. Kids are driving them now. The new srt4. All dead within a few years. RIP fiestas
Hybrid turbo next???
🤫
Dude I love this I have a 2018 fist about to be stage 3 next month about it flash stage 1 on tomorrow can’t wait
I love your channel
yo would you recommend a stratified tune or a dizzytune? Also how do you like your catted downpipe?
Personally I run the dizzy stage 2 tune with the dizzypop add on for $100. I wouldn't know anything about stratified's tunes but he's very reputable according to the Fiesta ST Forums. I've also seen Allen from Edge Autosport's tune on a Focus ST and he did an amazing job!
Dizzy
Dizzy!
Neither... JST. But if you had to pick, Dizzy is safer. Stratified has a rep for blowing engines. My dizzy tune gave me rough idle and threw codes. JST feels ways smoother, more power, 0 negative timing corrections and no codes or choppy idle.
@@ryeguy88 I just took my dizzy off cuz of misfires and codes
yo love the content can u link me this product
My bad I meant to put a link in the description, but I gotchu: whoosh-motorsports.myshopify.com/collections/ford-fiesta-st-turbo/products/2014-2017-s-port-blow-off-valve-kit-no-tune-needed
how do you like the quick jacks? been tossing around the idea of spending the money on some.
They're worth every penny! It makes it so much easier to raise and lower the car and the amount of room you get underneath is impressive.
@cjespi_ thanks for the reply and review! Doesn't seem at all sketchy up there?
@@michaelgammell5859 Nope, I'd argue that they're way safer than jack stands at times. they have two locking points so once you raise the car past the locks just lower it back down and it'll rest on the lock
I promise they don't pay me to advertise for them lmao
Running a pop tune on a catted dp is wild lol. Why not just go catless?
I didn't really get a choice of downpipe since i'm trying to keep the build "budget friendly" so i bought the dp from a friend for $100 so if the cat goes out its not too big a deal lol
Because catless is stupid AF.
Way off topic question. But where did you buy the led headlights and yellow fog light bulbs at?
Actually a pretty good question since I didn't make a video about them lol. I got them from pro tuning lab, they're aftermarket replacement headlights and they offer a T2PRO H11 low beam upgrade when you order the headlights through them. As far as the fog lights go I just got the Diode Dynamics Elite Series Fog Lamps from whoosh motorsports and some yellow tint from amazon. But they offer a yellow version on whoosh motorsports that I wasn't aware of when I ordered them.
Headlights: www.protuninglab.com/20fofifahebl.html Fog Lights: whoosh-motorsports.myshopify.com/collections/ford-fiesta-st-interior-exterior/products/diode-dynamics-elite-series-fog-lamps-2014-fiesta-st-free-shipping Tail Lights: whoosh-motorsports.myshopify.com/collections/ford-fiesta-st-interior-exterior/products/spec-d-tuning-ford-fiesta-led-tail-lights-3-colors-available-direct-fit
@@cjespi_ im eyeballing those tail lights as well. Love the black housing, but clear lens. How was the install?
@@joeschmoe5009 Probably one of the easiest things i've ever done! completely plug and play.
@@cjespi_ sweet! Id been seeing a bunch of older videos and everyone was having to change the wiring pinout, what a disaster that was for people, and made me nervous
The 2nd gen doesnt respond well to mods like the 1st gen. The factory tune on the second gen is fantastic not like the first gen. But if you are going for sound only then yes
Hello friend, excellent video, I congratulate you, of all the videos I have seen installing exhaust, you are the only one that uses good tools and wd40 to loosen the screws, I liked that 😎👏👍. As for the sound, it is true that the more you use the car, the louder it will sound because the resonator has some acoustic fiber inside and it burns and once it burns it will sound louder.
Lucky mine was already done
Mines cat less down pipe mbrp
What year is your FiST?
It's a very early 2014, so it was one of the first ones to hit the states
Downpipe installs are always a fight on these cars lol
