Whether you are an experienced bushcrafter or trying to buy your first wrist watch, you can count on my clarity and experience when it comes to all sorts of tools and gear. I attempt to cut through the marketing hype and get down to business with clear-cut advice. I don’t write 1,000 word essays on the theory of a knife, I just break it down into simple tidbits and focused overviews. Most of all, I will be highlighting what I think. Testing Out The Landworks 3-in-1 Wood Chipper/ Shredder Model# LCE06 - Full Review
I tested out the Landworks Wood Chipper model no: LCE06 to see what it can do...and hopefully get rid of my brush pile.
For the money, this is a pretty impressive machine. I was able to easily chip and shred brush and branches around our property.
There are several chippers on Amazon and harbor Freight and it can be hard to decide which one to spend your money on. I was really impressed with my choice of the Landworks.
Here is the model I reviewed: amzn.to/3xUWmOB
This was my second choice: amzn.to/3xWnvRg
If you have a lot of material and use it often, this chute might be helpful: amzn.to/3xTYA0C
In the video review I go through how the chipped is packed and ship, basic assembly and then some actual use footage. Since I filmed this review I have used it a few more time and I am still impressed and it's even more handy. Once you get the hang of what it can do and how big of material it will chip, you become much more efficient at feeding branches.

Best Machetes For Brush Clearing
มุมมอง 47K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Our recent adventures had us building some mountain bike trails. My boys and I had several machetes out in the field to do some testing, these were our five favorite ones. All machetes aren't created equal, some are good for grass and green vegetation, some are better suited for woodsy chopping and heavy brush. You can read my full review of each machete right here: techwriteredc.com/best-mache...

Are you looking for an alternative to the Hamilton Khaki Automatic field watch? Perhaps you don’t want to spend $500? Or perhaps you just want something different? Or more rugged? Perhaps you’re like me and just don’t like that the Khaki Auto gets all the praise when really it’s a pseudo dress watch marketed as a rugged field watch! Read my in-depth guide here with over 14 watches: techwritered...
I use the griots brand for more than 15 years was a manual. The only automobile that didnt fit was my 2010 grand caravan recently start to leak at the bottom. But still worked. Until some workers clean my garage take it away or dumped in my trash. I think he kept it. Now there are so many some expensive some cheap. Not sure which one. Mityvac oem griots 114 usd ewk. Bigred etc. The onlyone giving you lifetime warranty is mishimoto. For 100. Most manual and yes i just to make mess with griots so. I am thinking. Going for ARES. LOOKS BEST BUILD FOR 129.USD
Extremely slow but it works
Also can use to crack corn. Did 2 thousand pounds in 30 minutes.
Old School Drained baby! This is why cars don't last now A days
Awesome and informative video! You saved me from making some mistakes buddy.
I'm still on the fence. I like the higher output chute for loading my wagon but imagine it would clog easier
Dude has the car up on ramps for......??
Still has to remove the oil filter...
Anyone know where to get a thin tube replacement for this extractor
To many to pick from there's hundreds
Do you use this extractor for any other fluid besides engine oil? If so, how do you clean inside the hoses and extractor itself? I was thinking of using it to extract both engine oil and transmission fluid but definitely don't want to cross-contaminate the different fluids in my engine.
Somehow I get the impression that it will take about as long to clean the inside of the extractor and extractor hoses as it will to extract the fluid from the car.
He uses it one time and gives a review. It does not make any sense because it defeats the purpose of experience and knowledge. Why doesn't this guy use it for a year or two and then give us a review???????????
At the time I made the video, I used it only a few times. Since then, I have used it well over 25 times with my chipper, multiple cars, and a go-kart, and also to suck out the AC pain that overfilled the attic. For the money, it works great.
@@TechWriterEDC Now you have my attention because you have used it many times. What would you list as the benefits and what are the disadvantages?
@@frankie7508 Now that you’ve blasted him, please tell us how it feels to have no further response for five months. 😂
Thanks a lot!!! You saved me!

No, thank you, but I appreciate you reaching out.
THANK YOU for the Video. Informative.
Great review and heads up about this one and the other chippers on the market. I decided to go with this one thanks to your review. 👍🏽
Mine lasted 4 years.
What's the PSI on the compressor you used to suck the engine oil ?
If you can afford it I definitely recommend that condor it has good weight But if your on a budget tramontina works really good also but the bolo machete is better
There are about a dozen of these same designs that various companies rebadge and add slightly different shoots etc. I have the Tazz 304cc version of this. It has lasted six years, but the fly wheel inside is now a discontinued item, so I will have to get a new machine next year. Hands down, this is the hardest pull start, to get turned over cold, that I have ever used in my life! It has been a real workhorse in our yard though, dealing with cypress, cherry, pine and oak. I would highly recommend that anyone buying these, get the 5 year warranty. It's a violent machine and the hammers get sheared off over time. Tazz was amazing when I called for warranty parts and their manual listed every part and it's number, for easy replacement.
In the British Army in Central America we had the golock the blade is about 11ins long about 1/4 in thick that was the main issue but sometimes we get an 18 version of the Ontario it's been a while I don't remember the exact brand but we were in the rain forest and either of those work great just to clear space to camp at night or cut trail as we go though the thick jungle my only regret was not holding on to the survival MOD issued knife back then I'm still looking for one the Gurkhas had their kukri great original Nepalese made I walked away without getting one of those too that's also on my bucket list I don't think I would be able to buy an FN-FAL rifle like the ones we used so I'll just settle for the knives
How much oil does it hold???
Had mine for over a year. Bought the hose for shredding leaves, works great. Needed new blades and hammers this year. No problem to replace how ever it took a couple months to get them. They originally shipped the parts to themselves... Now I need a new crankcase cover (to buy, not asking for free) and the company (Great Circle) will not respond to phone, email, or online chat. No information on what part number. All I know is it is an Alphaworks motor, a Great Circle company.
The manual pump only requires about 6-8 quick pumps then it creates a vacuum to remove all the oil.
Mine seems to need a good 5-10 pumps every 15 seconds or so
Agree, terrible to no instructions come with these units. I got the 10 Qt model and used it the first time tonight. I didn’t use a compressor, just hand pump. Everything was going great, about 2/3’s full, and it just stopped. I went to give it a couple more pumps, and oil shot out of one of the ports below the handle coating my garage floor nicely. I could not figure what was going on. It was not full. I emptied it out and tried again. It started back up but I was still getting some fluid discharge from that port every now and then. I just held a rag there while I finished up. I’ll call the company tomorrow and see what’s going on, but if you want customers to be happy with a product, write a freaking instruction manual.
i think it would not be that hard to put a screw down crown on that khaki they just did it on their new khaki expedition...its a bit of a shame ...im pretty sure its a swatchgroup decision to not cannibalise the more expensive options in their premium brands
Thanks good info😮
It all depends
Try a Lagaraw from the Philippines, it's a machete with a curve down hook for brush & vines.
I'd say a very good choice. I have 2 or 3 of these mentioned machetes and they are really good, worthy of the money. The bushcraft parang is real beast. Big, sharp and heavy. Made for heavy copping. Be careful with this one, it could cause a nasty injury if accident should happen.
Thank you!
I knew it was a tramontina before you said the name and flashed it to the camera. The metal has a pleasant distinctive ring.
Thanks for this review and how to video! What psi did you have you compressor set at?
Cool, please show a few chops with eac.
Meanwhile I've been rocking my Lorus Lumibtite for over a decade and it's still going strong. Yeah it's a cheap watch but it just won't die on me.
You’re right, the instruction manuals, a complete waste of paper. God they really need to look it over and read it.🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
I used machetes everyday for work tramontina from Brasil is the best. I have 5 Condors and spent lots of money in other brands and nothing matches the tramontina the blade is supposed to be thin and light and for only 20 bucks is the best.
You can go to world war with your khaki field hamilton but do not golf and chopping any wood with it on your wrist SUPER LOL Hamilton is crap even cant compete with Chinese brands of field watches this day like SteelDive and BOLDR for example.
Raven watches are great also. They pass the durability test. I shoot, play golf and wear it while working.
Great video, however, nobody ever seems to cover how you clean the thing and where to put other kind of fluids in it
I've definitely wondered about that too
Got mine about 2 weeks ago. It is easy to assemble but I didn't have funnel that bent. Once that was figured out. It works great and we have ran black walnut, Fir, and other trees. The top shoot for leaves doesn't seem to work well as you said. So far so good though. PNW
It shouldn’t be that hard to start or pull, if motor has been properly broken in with no load.
I think judging by the work attire, engines are not used often. Unsure as to why he was pulling the starter rope after he had pulled it. Revs were set too low I reckon, once it had actually caught..
Min 2:09 start the video there
Hamilton Khaki Automatic field watch, hence the name in the field watch, running, jumping, crawling in the sand and mud to safe your life, jumping out of planes, and getting shot at, but don't chop wood or you might damage it,lol
Super great video, new sub. I'm surprised the Jethro Machete didn't make your list. what are your thoughts on that machete I'm surprised the Jethro machete didn't make your list. What are your thoughts on that Machete
Had mine for a few years and it still works great.
I bought this thing. I was able to change my power steering fluid using tje smaller tube. It did NOT work with engine oil. The thinner and longer tube did not work. I tried it on 3 different cars but failed. So i had to jack the car and use the old method. What was i doing wrong?
Warm up the oil first
Correct, run the engine enough to warm up the oil and try removing the oil fill cap.
Mine work for about an hour, wood chuck got stuff, when trying to remove chipper fallen over. When started up again it reved up and down. So I stopped it, set it aside. Couple weeks later tried it again start up normal. I started using it again but then throttle wouldn't Reve down. The muffler got glowing hot. I have no idea how to fix it, no videos on maintenance for this
Great video and thanks for your comments about oil extraction vs drain plug. I have a drain plug that is rusted onto my oil pan so the only way I can change oil is by this extractor.
"if you were going to cleave someone's head off, this is the one you'd use..." ?!
Thanks
