    I have said it before, but I am going to say it again, at the risk of repeating myself, this song is just sublimely beautiful, and if I ever get a little despondent at the way the world is going, thank the universe that Jackson Browne still walks amongst us.

    WOW.. back when music was, well.. "music". It doesn't get more authentic and unvarnished in a spectacular display of raw talent than this, Undeniably incredible.

    I'm seeing Jackson Browne with my husband for the second time together at the Hartford health Care center on September 1st, 2023. I would love to hear this song, but I'm not sure what they're supposed to be singing that night but any songs are good 🎉🎉❤

    I just heard that Browne wrote this song in response to what David Crosby said about Sailing on his Wooden Ship and watching the World burn so to speak, in the late 60s. The United States and Russia possibly going to war, the Killing of JFK and the Vietnam War.

    One of the best (there were many) concerts I saw of JB was when he played at Tanglewood circa late 70’s. This was one of my favorite songs of his.

      For every man is my favorite album of all time. For me it’s just spoke to who I was in my late teens in the mid-1970s living in Los Angeles. It is my favorite album of all time.

      Well, no actually. That's an opinion without categorization. In that case if Exile On Main Street is the greatest album of all time, then it must also have been the greatest album of the 70's as well.

      @@davidmurray2539 now you’re just being a turd in the clown. It is a phenomenal album. You can make a great argument. That is one of the greatest albums of all times.

    @stampbeugel. I have a feeling that this is not the first upload on this song. Maybe the one from the past was taken down. Nevertheless, I think this is Jackson’s greatest performance of this song. He comes on stage looking 10 years younger than he is, alone on the stage with only his voice and his acoustic guitar and he nails it. And then the camera pans out to the audience and it is unbelievable. What a performance.

    • @stampbeugel

    • @stargazer6753
      @stargazer6753 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stampbeugel I’m missing something. Can you give me the dates that you are referring to. I’m here to learn. There are no dates in your upload except for “ 2007 .” That would make him 59 years old. I think he was 36 , looking like 26 or less but looking like such a kid, and delivering such a song all alone on the empty stage.
