😅😅I had a Vertuo Next for two weeks. The coffee was good. The machine was crap. I returned it. Got a proper espresso machine instead.

Use a small pot and boil water, pour it into a cup that has one full tea spoon of grund coffee. You're welcome consumers

I am still confused. What is the exact name of the least expensive Vertuo that brews all of the sizes of capsules. Except maybe that extremely giant one on the extreme left in your other video. I don't want a Next or a Pop because of the problems with leaking and breaking, so I want a dome top Vertuo that looks like yours. Any help would be appreciated, since your videos about the Vertuo seem to be the best and most factual without the glowing oohs and ahhs. 😂

Truly awesome video...your visuals and concise explanations cleared much confusion about Vertuo's various sizes. However, let me add one clarification/correction regarding caffeine: The difference between roasts is just taste, NOT the amount of caffeine. The truth is caffeine content remains pretty much the same during each stage of the roasting process. It's extremely stable during roasting, wtih a melting point of 455°F which is well above what beans reach during roasting. Caffeine content of dark vs. light depends more on the method of measuring your coffee. The longer a bean roasts, it gets bigger and less dense (lighter), so a light roasted bean will be smaller but more dense (heavier) than a dark roasted bean. Therefore: If you measure coffee by volume... Light roasted (smaller) beans = more beans per volume = more caffeine. If you measure coffee by weight... Dark roasted (lighter) beans = more beans per weight = more caffeine. However the differences will be oh-so-slight that you can say caffeine levels of various roasts are virtually the same. So caffeine level is not a question of light or dark roast, but simply the amount of coffee used when brewing.

Nespresso is just about as bad for the environment as the evil Keurig. Even with the newer aluminum-based pods, there is still a terrific amount of waste. It is highly unlikely that a significant amount gets returned to Nespresso in their mailers; people are just lazy or too busy or whatever, and the pods end up in landfills. If you want to brew responsibly, just cut to the chase and brew good old fashioned pour-over or immersion or espresso or whatever works for you. These pod-based machines are nothing but gimmicks.

Seriously that is going to make bitter coffee if you have that much water to that little coffee

Mine broke down in its 12 month after making 4 cups daily..on the average. Nespresso refused to fix it and recommended I buy another machine.

I've had the Nano Puff hoody jacket for almost a year now (I bought it roughly 10 months or so ago) and I wore it all last winter from late December/early January through March. I live in New England, so we get some pretty harsh, cold weather during the winter months (even into early spring) and I have to say, this jacket kept me perfectly warm, even when it was down in the teens and 20s. I've always liked Patagonia. It's now November and it's starting to get pretty cold here (32 degrees Fahrenheit and snowing as I write this). I'm going on a trip this weekend and I just pulled out this jacket to bring with me. I haven't worn it in about 7 or 8 months. I just washed it since it looked a bit dirty after being in the closet for many months and I don't think I washed it after the last several times I wore it. I wash mine on cold and then hang it up to air dry and it always comes out great. I do, however, have the same complaint/gripe about the stitching. I just had to cut a couple of loose threads off mine on one of the sleeves and it's not even a year old yet and has only had a few months of very gentle wear from last winter. It did get tossed into a locker a lot at the gym last winter, but that was the roughest treatment it has ever had. For a nearly $300 Patagonia product, I'm not too impressed by that, but overall, I really do like this jacket. It looks great and you can wear it with just about anything and on any occasion. This will be my second winter with it. I may contact Patagonia and about the loose stitching issue and see what they say. I'm glad to know it's not just me experiencing this problem. Other than that, it still looks like new.

Terrific review. You’re one of the few people that actually understands what these machines are and aren’t.

If anyone wanted to get a nespresso machine that is fine but please don't support the vertuo line. It was made purely because they messed up their patent for the original one and now anyone can make pods. So they made the vertuo line with the barcodes so even if you do make a pod the machine doesn't recognize it

Those capsules are just too darn expensive here in Denmark, can buy regular capsules a LOT cheaper for other Nespresso machines.

Nice video, contemplating buying these, it seems obvious to me that the style, leather, craftsmanship is far better than all the low cost mass produced shoes that sell for under $500.00

I got the C crane radio, two double a's lasts forty hours at least. I don't charge them but on sundays. Run the cable down the back of my shirt, radio in my pocket. Boss dosent know cause the blue and yellow ones match the things they give out at work. We're required to wear them. Lol

As you say in your closing, this video is about maintenance. Restoration is something else entirely. Please make your title representative of the content.

the 1 yr mark is around the time when mine started breaking down. The battery basically barely holds a charge. The inside paint started to chip... it only keeps my coffee hot if I keep stirring it otherwise it can't tell there's liquid in the cup.
