I need to try daggerfall unity I didn't know you could buy a boat? Can you keep it protected and store stuff on it?
First time I ever stole anything in a video game
nice! thanks 🙏🏻
I'm almost glad the newer games are dulled down. I can't imagine the hours i'd spend if skyrim was this colossal.
I tried this really good game. I ended up cornered in the beginner dungeon with an imp that was invincible to any attack I could make. It kept killing me in 2 hits. When I asked on a forum I was told I should restart make a new chart and roll for a special ebony dagger...I don't think this game is good anymore
What is the music from the intro to the video. I need this.
It's the "Castle Dungeon" theme from the Daggerfall soundtrack.
This game is peak
I randomly think of this game. What a frustratingly good time
For those that don't know, Daggerfall Unity also has a very active mod community but on moddb not Nexusmods.
@18:12 It's the Continuum Transfunctioner. It's mystery is exceeded only by it's power...
Dreamfall holds a dear spot in my heart, but I was only fifteen when it came out so there's nostalgia. Chapters on the other hand... sigh. Played it around last Christmas after it finally stopped being so egrogiously expensive for a game this old. Well, it does wrap up the trilogy, although in such an overcomplicated manner I struggle to remember any details. And you can sadly tell that Ragnar was really pissed at Brexit/first Trump term as he wastes no opportunity to inform you.
I wasn't interested in this when it first released, as I had no intention of playing Daggerfall at the time, but now that I'm getting back into Baldur's Gate 3 and I'm in a fantasy mindset, I can see myself maybe playing this afterwards, so I went and properly installed it. Seems the GOG and Steam versions are too inconsistent with versions, so I just downloaded straight from the source instead and installed a few mods. There's an issue with the orc one and starting up the game it seems you don't choose your race so much as your starting zone which picks your race for you, so maybe I'll give up on the orc stuff for now since I don't really care about it that much anyway. Fiddling with mods when there aren't clear-cut install instructions for each mod page is too much of a chore for me and I'm mostly fine with what Daggerfall Unity offers as far as options so I don't really need all the other excess stuff. One thing that does have to go, though, is the issue of gold weight. I *hate* carry weight in games, I don't even care when it serves a purpose to limit your inventory, I just find it a pointless distraction. I don't see a mod for gold specifically, so I just downloaded another mod that ups your carry weight in general and hopefully that works well enough to limit my irritation with the blundering mechanic. Seriously, I'm not carrying around a bunch of bank papers in my inventory. Anyway, thanks for the video. I'll hopefully remember that bit about the floating skulls in the one dungeon, saving me some irritation. Though I am the kind to look up a guide for anything I get stuck on, that will save me a minute or two of googling at least.
playing it now for the first time. so good!
Having played pretty much all the other HL games, I definitely want to move on to Black Mesa. This looks awesome!
Oh man, I never heard of Startopia; it could have been my jam back in the day!
I remember playing three Populous levels as part of a demo and really enjoyed the atmosphere. I'm glad there are fan projects supporting this game!
One of the best games ever. ❤❤
Castles look nothing like that on the inside, though. Amazed of underground tunnels is going to be underground so the entrance really kind of makes a lot more sense to me. That is, unless it’s called a castle and an underground type of castle is not already a specifically established type of castle in the series
The views, the emotion. Its a fantastic peak bagging adventure and ive loved it through and through
I loved and was totally amazed by this game when I was young! Really like your structure of reviews and great writing as well. Clean. Subbing fs
Daggerfall is a testament to how humanity is evolving backwards.
Also i love the heck outta this game but can someone please make a weapon and body update. That sword has 20 fov and i feel claustrophobic now. LOL
Oblivion is the worst of the bunch.
No it isnt
@SkdjJj-h7r in my opinion it is. It gets repetitive with all the rifts
@@bobby4tw the rifts? what is that? Oblivion cannot be the worst TES lmao. Skyrim exists
@@alex71638 Hahah Okey. But the music score is incredible at least
Nice I’ve got a life no time to work on this ridiculous this is quantity over quality
Its insane to think how much Elder Scrolls has degrade with each entry and yet people are still looking forward to supporting Bethesda in their quest to castrate it even further.
An all time favourite. At times it feels like a strange mix of The Shining and Star Trek. I haven’t witnessed this in a game before. I can feel this the most in the Recreation Deck. I believe it’s a favourite amongst so many of us for a reason. The laughing audio in the casino, the garden ambience and the flashing dance floor…has there been a better example of atmosphere in a space themed game? Those moments have stayed with me over the years.
the optimal gameplay for me is to install chaos raid and bedrock bottom mod, start bedrock bottom, start a small party (but not too big), make a small outpost, and have fun. Have a large party and the game would get too easy and thus boring. Same rule applies to a bigger outpost. Then you attack every faction you like.
you've convinced me, this was a well formed video :) I think you'd do well as a content creator if you learned to put in a little ironic and/or sarcastic humor
Smaller dungeons makes the main quest dungeons feel way more unique and fun.
Still waiting for the sequal
In rebel campaing you have mission to capture x wings and that is ameanzing
Comfy
the music and the atmosphere is out of this world.I love this game so much.To this day , there is no game like this. One of the best game ever
I still remember playing the Populous demo that came with SimCity 3000!
After what Bethesda became under Todd and emil the only future I look forward to is their bankruptcy.
12:30 if you have a stronger PC you never have stuttering or pop ins. I never experienced them atelast
I love this game. Genuinely one of the best experiences I've had with a game, as it taught me the values of the climb and how satisyfing it is to finally best a mountain. And the controls aren't bennett foddy awfulness, but fun and intuitive if you've ever played any FPS game. The physics is a handful to first learn but once you do, you'll be flying up mountains quite literally.
Holy. I only ever got to play 3 levels from a CD demo as a kid and completely forgot the games name. I was randomly recommended this video and now I can play the game again!
Out of curiosity, where did you get the demo? Mine came with SimCity 3000 I'm pretty sure.
Since I was 6 years old, this game along with AoE2 were the ones to introduce me to RTSs and I cant be more grateful to both of them
those shamans make me wanna act up awooga
The atmosphere and music in this game is top notch ! Also the nostalgia is strong as hell haha
AMAZING !
Honestly I'd love to see the elder scrolls 6 look like skyrim. I wouldn't mind. If it actually ends up being in daggerfall I don't care what it looks like as long as it doesn't play like the elder scrolls online.
Fuck no lmao
wearwolves werebears wereboars dufferent vampire clans, boats carts houses, a whole empire to explore, this game had everything by far my favorite elderscrolls game
God dude Daggerfall had a vibe that I enjoyed so much that no other experience could recreate games like Barony or Wizordum came a bit close I just wish there was a guy more crazy and autistic than the guy who made DFU who makes a entire DFU character creation, combat, weapon, armor, and npc overhaul
Daggerfall is a game that you can play and mod for nearly a lifetime.
been playing the DOS version i gotta say im interested.
The female NPC's were so much more attractive back then. It's too bad times change for the worse.
I find oblivion and morrowind my favorites because they still have a lot of these deep gameplay mechanics that Bethesda started leaving out by Skyrim
I need a new Empire at War game that resolves the story at the end of the Tyber Zann campaign
What an amazing piece of art. I love it and will surely give it a try asap.
Lots of cult classics were flops and killed their studios
Let’s be honest here - if you have seen one of Oblivion dungeons or went through one Oblivion gate.. you have seen them all. Fact.
