The internet and social media technology started in the west. Science fiction in the west has always come from a western perspective. Look at star trek, it started with an american discovering warp travel, a unified government of western people, and western actors taking front stage in all of our series "heros" until Earth becomes a small melted down faction in the universe, everyone becomes united and now other empires can come into conflict. I can't think of any eastern (slavic) science fiction that influences science fiction that I know of. Part of it is cultural divides like liberalism vs statism, and the other huge barrier is language. We boil our media into a good vs bad perspective where the good guys (western/liberal/enlightened) fight bad guys (eastern/conservative/traditional). The people of the west doesn't really come into contact with the real people of the east because we are divided by space and language, so the foreign becomes the evil. Because of this it's easier for us to alienate each other into being enemies. Westerners on twitter look at Russians dropping artillery on homes in Donbas and think you're evil. You look on VK and see Ukrainians drop grenades on soldiers in a trench trying to eat dinner and think we're evil. The average normal person doesn't realize they are getting filtered media as propaganda to alienate the other side so they, in a hollow sense, boil down the entire nation as evil. Perspectives of this vary but the average person will see social media and take it as face value. Basically in summary Russia is American's old enemy, so Russia will be evil and impulsive while America will be good and calculated. Our characters are shaped by our media. We'll see what happens when the barriers of Chinese media erode and they flood into the social consciousness.

@@SONNENKVLT no its not from a movie. It’s my own thing. I do cinematics using the game Space Engineers and have used that to create a Sci-Fi universe. Sorry for any confusion

Well the way we do things now is through what Vendetta describes as "Discord Combat" Where faction leader move ships around on a map and when ships need to fight we play out the battles in space engineers. At the moment we are about to start a brand new war, so you would be what we call a "pilot" basically someone who flies for any faction that is in need of pilots for a battle. "Pilots" are also used as extras for main cast recording sessions
