Hey bud. What year is your 400?
Hey! Mine is a 2022
Thanks for the video review. I really appreciate it, and it's great to hear a review from someone who actually owns the car and uses it daily! I actually agree that the 40i is probably the better choice long term, my wife will also be using the car daily and me on the weekends only.
Not a problem! Let me know if you end up getting it. Def share some pics and your thoughts
You replace also the Abs hose?
I opted to get a bike without abs. If you have abs you would have to change that as well or delete it
Looks like a lot of fun💯
Not much can beat riding a motorcycle on a racetrack
Nice bike✌️ How do they feel compared to stock??
Thanks! They feel great. Def get much better response from it than stock. I would recommend.
Great video! Where did you get the mudguards from?
Thanks! They’re from Amazon. I have the link below. a.co/d/fM3F1FI
Amy links for nar ends ninja 400 2021? And link for this?
Here’s the link for the lever guards just some cheap ones from Amazon can prob find even cheaper on aliexpress. Def not the best but works for my purposes a.co/d/0qhTEO6 The bar end came pre installed on the woodcraft clip-on www.sportbiketrackgear.com/woodcraft-kawasaki-ninja-400-2018-clip-on-riser-assembly-w-bars/
Would be great to get a review from you about the car for a family and pros and cons etc. looking to pull the trigger on one of these but not sure about the m40i or the M60i
Made a quick video for you. Let me know if you had any specific questions th-cam.com/video/JPusVRwz7Vg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=5f4DCCTLAAM4qpaf
@@Rex1000_RR Thanks for the review!
Hell yea
How did you take the barend stuff out to install the spacer? I couldn’t take the plug out
Is yours from woodcraft? These are just pushed in there so you just use a set of pliers and yank it out. Takes some effort. You can try to not damage the barend but I found you had to really squeeze the pliers so mine got a few scratches. Not a big deal since I’m not going to use the bar ends anyway

Awesome! Happy to help
Bruhh show me the process of removing the handle bar weights and installing the lever protectors
Are you having trouble with something? There’s not much to it just gotta remove the bolt on the side of the bar end and switch it out for the lever guard. Just position the lever guard correctly based on your preference and loctite for extra security. Let me know if you have any questions. I got new clip-ons coming in so I’ll make a more thorough video when I’m installing those in the coming weeks
When my brake caliper fell like yours did a bit of fluid came out. Should I worry about that?
That’s seems odd to me was it brake fluid? That system needs to be air-tight otherwise you won’t have proper brake pressure. Def want to try to verify where the fluid came from. Check the pads and make sure the pistons aren’t pitted. Maybe afterwords quickly bleed the brakes and top off your brake fluid. Make sure you have strong brake pressure before you ride.
@@Rex1000_RR ahh unfortunate. I just learned how to even get the wheel off yesterday. I’ve been trying to get this bike ready to ride for weeks 😂😅
@@MikeRideskeep working on it man. The first go around can be tricky but def good skills to learn and have the pride of being able to take care of your bike properly 😊
@@Rex1000_RR most definitely man. I finally got it road ready today. Took it out for the first time. Had a blast!
Hey, I was analyzing your TH-cam Channel. I saw there are some big problems in your channel. As a result you didn't get views from video. I can solve it freely if you give me opportunity. I've got some exciting plans for your Channel, and I'm eager to share them with you. Let's connect and explore the possibilities.
Hello! Those brake lines are lighter than the OEM's? Thank you!
Honestly I’m not sure. The reason to switch to braided lines is because it doesn’t undergo hose expansion under pressure. This allows you to have more feel and a better response when braking.
At how many miles more or less did your tire wear indicate it’s time for a change , based on how you’ve been riding and your local roads ?
I’m just under 4k miles now and def had a lot more to go. Hard to say exactly how much tho. Front def had a lot more to go than rear. Road condition and riding style def play a big role in how long tires last. In Florida we have a lot of straight roads so more likely for the tire becoming squared off as well. Always important to do a pre-ride inspections and pay attention to those wear bars
I’m having a hard time finding a stand for my wife’s 2023 ninja 400. Revzilla didn’t have anything, I don’t understand
Pitbull stands are great although a bit expensive www.pit-bull.com/kawasaki-ninja-400-motorcycles Here is an Amazon one that would work a.co/d/6R0JsN4
pretty much any amazon or ebay stand will work
i bought mine from vevor and its cheap and does the job! i can link if you want
Just got me a trackside last week from cycle gear
Thank you. Brother just gave me an old one he used on his harley.
Nice! Def a useful addition
Very helpful instruction😂
Yeaaaa not much to it haha
Hi,why do you need to flip the bracket if the shocks are the same length ?
If the aftermarket shock you’re using is the same length then you do not. Can just switch out the shocks without having to mess with the brackets at all
Can you show how you install it
Sure can th-cam.com/video/m6tKjPXBkhk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Zo2AlR04V4-j8mVx
Did you try moving the adjuster to #5 before the swap???? Men need more preload adjustment for their weight.😮
I did not. I’m not too heavy only weigh about 165. The aftermarket shock allows for more adjustments. Plus it allows the rear to feel a lot more planted and less bouncy.
Nice bike💯
What stands are you using?
I’m not sure the brand. Just some cheap ones I got off amazon years ago. Def not the best. Pitbull stands are great and honestly for a front stand if you don’t have a spool then much safer and easier to get the stand that inserts into your lower triple tree (steering stem). Rears def want to use spool stands def makes it much easier/safer as well
why don't you try making an intake path like the new ninja 250 ARRC and velocity
I might do something like that in the future but the reason I dropped down to a 400 was to become a better rider. They sell a Ram air but might not be worth it for this bike. Some people have also cut the airbox and adding stacks. I plan on tuning the bike eventually so will most likely figure it out by then
can you do a night drive video
Yes I can. Looking for something in particular?
Can i ask for the link of this front lip

Just a disclaimer I had to take the splitter off. It’s pretty thin and just the way the front splitter works puts a lot of pressure on it. Looks great but def needs to be sturdier especially if you drive fast.
Is this electric?
Nope, ninja 400 parallel twin
Thanks! I def agree
I like the front splitter, adds a nice look to the front.
did you find all these on aliexpress?
Yup, just search ninja 400 and you’ll find them
For everything here no but to really get more power out of the engine then it’s a good idea to flash it. I’m thinking of eventually doing a dyno flash but I haven’t reached my limits just yet with the current set up so not in a rush to do so
Do you need to ecu flash the bike
For everything here no but to really get more power out of the engine then it’s a good idea to flash it. I’m thinking of eventually doing a dyno flash but I haven’t reached my limits just yet with the current set up so not in a rush to do so
How to take out the head Cowl 🙏🙏🙏
Hi, where did you buy your fairing kit?
Got these through amotopart
@@Rex1000_RRthanks
That’s interesting to note thanks for the heads up! Mine hasn’t changed too much but I also didn’t fill it to the brim just upper third of the tick marks in the glass. I’m def going to keep an eye on it tho.
I have noticed that when you put oil in the engine and cheek the sight window then go ridding for a few days the oil level comes up alot 😳 it can make oil get in to the throttle body and stuffs everything up , so i always put less in the engine now and a few days later its at the right level ( Higher that it was when i filled it up ) just a little tip , if you just fill to the middle level then wait a fews days you will see how much different it is it will be over the top line
Hey man I was wondering if you could tell me where you ordered your shifter, rear brake, and rear sets? and what the brands are?
When you say shifter and rear brake you’re talking about the levers right? It’s all part of the rearsets from Kemimoto. Mine are in black. The link only goes titanium which is a little cheaper but the black is not bad either $136.39 Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. You make it look easy, man. Could u install mine? 🤣
It really isn’t bad! Just take it slow and take pictures if you need help remembering what goes where
How many milliseconds you set it up?
I didn’t really mess with it. The original settings work well for me
@@Rex1000_RR i see ok thank you what is the original settings? Do you know how many milliseconds? If you dont know never mine its ok
I can check when I get home tonight. This is a good place to start store-cv6l2eo9di.mybigcommerce.com/content/2016%20QS%20PRO%20Downloads/QS%20PRO%20Settings%20Cheatsheet%200718.pdf
Does the ninja 400 equipped with the power commander! Did you just plugin with out commander!
Nope no power commander. It has its own controller so not needed. Eventually I will have the bike flashed.
So you cannot plug that with ecu flashed?
Cannot plug with out ecu flashed
All you need for this QS is included with the kit when you buy it. The flash would be to tune the engine for better performance. A flash or power commander isn’t necessary.
Bro it’s a waste of time making this video if you don’t show step-by-step how you installed it. You skip the biggest parts of the install. I’m just saying it would’ve been a great video if you would’ve shown it step by step
Yea I’m going to make an effort to set up the camera for more footage but honestly if you’ve worked on a bike before or slightly mechanically inclined this info will get you 90% of the way there. Like anything if it’s your first time just take it slow and work through it. If you have any questions on something I’m happy to help.

Where did you get it??
Aliexpress. Not bad at all for the price
Approximately how long did this take to do? Thanks!
Not long , took me a couple hours but I had my two y/o “helping” me and had to mess with my exhaust brackets
@@Rex1000_RR Have you noticed much of a change in handling characteristics from raising the back of the bike? I don't know how much it applies to a bike the size of the 400 but it should in theory make the bike turn in faster and decrease straight line stability? Just wondering how much it changes the handling before I order the Spears brackets.
@@Ryan_H22 honestly not really but it’s hard to say because now that the rear is more planted you can push it more both off the line and on turns. Def recommend switching the fork oil to a heavier weight too tho to help with that stability unless you’re able to get cartridges.
@@Rex1000_RR Cool, thanks. I think I'm going to do the shock swap and just flip the stock mounts for now and if I don't like the feel of the bike I'll get the Spears mounts. Did you go to a heavier fork oil? If so what weight? Thanks!
@@Ryan_H22 sounds like a good plan. I haven’t switched the oil yet but I’ve seen people switch to 15wt for the front
Excellent video bro! Very informative and clear. Can I ask how much do you weigh? Did the rear height stay about the same?
I weight 165. The rear height is slightly higher but I don’t notice much difference. I feel a lot more planted in the rear which makes a world of difference when pushing the bike
Grind off the mount arms, get the Norton brackets, and hit the OEM arms with PJ1 frame black.
I may get around to all that. I bought the Norton adapter but it was taking forever to arrive so I canceled it. It’s not causing any issues plus it’s underneath and not really noticeable so not too worried about it
What model of gxer suspension is that
