    6:05 I saw, the left land-piece is a tiny little bit faster than the right one. the left one started touching the selection-box of the right one and ends with a little gap inbetween.

    Great tutorial, but do you know how to make it pixel perfect so it doesn't smudge? I am trying to make an effect similar to the SNES Donkey Kong Country water levels.

    Thank you so much for the tutorial! For those who face an error for SCREEN_TEXTURE here is the solution, just add this line of code in the above and everything should working uniform sampler2D SCREEN_TEXTURE: hint_screen_texture, filter_linear_mipmap; And here is the full code in case anyone need it shader_type canvas_item; uniform sampler2D SCREEN_TEXTURE: hint_screen_texture, filter_linear_mipmap; uniform sampler2D noise: repeat_enable, filter_nearest; uniform float speed : hint_range(0.05, 0.5) = 0.1; uniform float strength : hint_range(0.005, 0.5) = 0.1; void fragment() { float noise_value = texture(noise,UV + TIME * speed).r; COLOR = texture(SCREEN_TEXTURE, SCREEN_UV - (strength / 2.0) + vec2(noise_value) * strength); }

    Thanks for sharing this looks really cool. Subbed and wish listed. I'm actually doing somewhat similar but in 3D, in Unity and more of a scifi/fantasy angle yet still keeping the spiritual influences intact. I was wondering, if you could still work on some of the animations (not sure how it works in Godot). I think that is the thing that takes me out of the illusion. Just a bit too simplistic, stiff and monotone. I know animation is a huge topic, not easy to do but just some food for thought...

    If people would say 'game development is more accessible than ever' they would be correct. If people think making good games is easier than ever, they would be 100% wrong. This is why most indie game devs fail. They have no idea what even makes for a great game.

    I totally love the way this looks, but I gotta say the walking animation is distractingly bad. Its so out of sync and over-exaggerated that it pulls me out of all this great stuff youve made. I think that small change would make a huge impact.

    Your game looks really beautiful. Your art style is interesting, like a cartoony blend of art nouveau and visionary art. I think combat and character movement would benefit from some more speed and juice )camera shakes, more sparks etc.) The music featured in this video is pretty cool too, kinda relaxing. Keep at it and congrats on showing your game!

    If I may add a bit of middle-age perspective, for anyone doing anything creative: the self-doubt and the motivation conundrum stay with you. Maybe even forever 😟 The awareness of the feedback loop + harnessing its power, is the greatest and the most helpful skill (that somehow I always need to be reminded of). You are already aware: more power to you. I enjoyed the video
