Triads are such powerful little chords. They can be used in so many ways. Use triads to play different voicings or learn to superimpose triads to play different chords. For example, you can play a C major triad against the note A to create A min7. You can also play a C major triad over Ab note to create Abmaj7#5. Major triads are also found inside the major pentatonic scale that shares the same...

Try adding the four chord of any chord you are playing. Add it just for one beat so you never really leave the original chord. You can experiment with maintaining the first chords root while you play the four chord. You can also change the bass note but maybe try to keep a common tone (a note shared by both chords) in tact. The first time I play the chord progression I use my 2nd, 3rd and 4th f...

It’s an awesome book and a great way to start playing the guitar
Hey Jake, thank you so much for your comment. Please let me know if there are any topics you would like to see covered.
Tuning an instrument is not a secret; it is the initial lesson in learning to play. No student can effectively practice on an instrument that is not in tune. Methods for tuning the guitar include: • Utilizing a guitar tuner is a practical method for ensuring the accuracy of pitch. The market offers a diverse range of tuners, including standalone devices, clip-on versions, complimentary applications, and integrated tuners commonly found on acoustic-electric guitars and contemporary digital amplifiers. • Relative tuning, as demonstrated in the video. • Adjusting the pitch to match the pitch of another tuned instrument, such as a second guitar, piano, or another string instrument.
To ensure clarity and avoid confusion, it is advisable to create a comprehensive primer book before proceeding. Seek the assistance of an editor to provide concise descriptions and step-by-step instructions. Clarity is paramount for serious learners.
These are correctly referred to as triad chord inversions. There are three inversions: root position, first inversion, and second inversion.
Yup, I've used triads as a 2nd guitar parts, to insert chords within lead parts and more. As both a Ukulele and Guitar player. I found it easy to use my ukulele chord shapes for triads in my guitar playing. Knowing all the notes on your guitar and ukulele fretboards opens up a whole world of chord/triad positions.
Glad you agree, I will do more videos on the other string groups
Thanks man!
Thank you , good point
and if you strum over the highest frets you get a cool hamonic sound
Thank you , I really appreciate that

Ay you’re underrated bro keep making content. Thanks for the tip.
😂
This advanced lesson is designed for elementary-level players. Prior to mastering the scales, I recommend dedicating time to studying and internalizing them. While memorization and mechanical playing, as demonstrated in the video, are valuable exercises, they alone will not facilitate their musical application or correct execution.
Thank you so much for your comments. I'm sure you are a great player, some may find it challenging.
No need for patronizing replies. It was a good attempt at a lesson. I recommend considering your target audience and setting a goal for the lesson. Demonstration alone does not constitute a viable lesson for most students.
There is no such thing as a dominant 7th triad. This is a good lesson, but the information is incorrect.
Thank you so much for you comment, There is a hierarchy of notes in each chord. The root is sometimes the least important, and then the 5th in many cases, especially if you are playing with other musicians, because they might be playing the root or 5th. By lowering (removing) the root a whole step you get to the flat 7 , so you wind up with a rootless chord, spelled 3, 5 b7. Great little chord, but you could always call it something else. Thank you for watching
@ It’s still incorrect.
Enhancing the Intrigue of a Two-Chord Progression: Employ a Four-Chord Progression

Yes, very cool guitar
I have the Element in swift blue which lately I'm finding myself less and less willing to even take out of the case and see that Papa Smurf staring back at me. Quite frankly I'm baffled by the color selection across the entire range. The flash green is atrocious. The hot merlot is not a true red. The best color is the black. The best color in the Element is the Red Copper, and it's not offered in the US. It is offered in the UK, EU, and Japan. We get the swift blue instead. It's a great guitar, but that whole thing about "I'll just get used to the color" doesn't seem to be true.
How does the Element play though, is it comfortable compared to your other guitars?
@@tonytopanga6407 from what I remember it played well enough, but that's when I was still willing to take it out of the case.
@@RobotShlomo Thinking about buying an Element as my first guitar. What's your current go to since you don't play the Revstar anymore?
❤❤❤
Hi Mike what's the best line out of it to another powered speaker?
love the videos! i can’t wait for my daily dose of guitar lessons everyday! ❤️
Thanks for the comment, let me know if there is anything specific topic you would like covered.
Recently bought the pink Ibanez. VERY happy with what I recieved. It's as light as a feather, making my pacifica 311H feel as heavy as a car
Nice, glad you are happy with your guitar.
What is that guitar?
This is an Ibanez Satriani model. Great guitar, nice weight and excellent pick-ups. The guitar, although modern in many ways, has a familiar vintage feel. I have always played Les Pauls, Strats and Tele style guitars. Worth checking out for sure. We are an authorized Ibanez dealer if you have more questions.
,"I believe I will try this after I watch this a Couple more times !"💯🎸
Sounds great, let me know if you have any questions.
I like that improv very much, very cool too! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for the comment, please let me know if there is anything else you would like to see demonstrated.
Honestly this is one of the better instructional guitar shorts I’ve seen! Keep it up! Adding tabs may help with traction a little bit
Thank you for your comment, we will keep putting out more content, and please let me know if there is anything specific you would to see demonstrated.
Spice up those 1 chord jams with 3 extra chords.
Thank you for the comment, that's funny. Good title. What I mean is instead of always staying on one chord, you can play around with other chords from the key center without leaving the home base of A.
Why do you use such a distorted sound for this?
would you prefer a clean sound. Is it hard to hear the quality of the chords.
awesome!!
Thank you, please let me know if there are other things you would like to see demonstrated.
That expensive guitar 😢
0:49 They ARE too expensive :(
OMG it's Pierce Brosnan!
Thank you
55545 right.🤔🙏
I have the standard humbucker one coming in a couple of days, can't wait
Great guitar, enjoy it
This is actually helpful, if you don't have a tunner😊
Great, thank you for the positive feedback, tuning with harmonics is also a great way to tune, just a bit tougher to make harmonics come out.
I just got my gutter for my birthday I’m tryna learn how to play but I have trouble adjusting the strings
we can help you if you like
I'd watch this video and get help from this guy, but for beginners you can also use an app to tune easily.
Where it made from?
This guitar is made in Japan, I love it. We also have the purple one.
Sounds pretty good Mike.🤘 Miriam and Melissa look great too.🤩 where did you play this?
Slow it way down and focus on all the micro movements and lock THOSE in
I was having trouble working out how to use my metronome, nothing seemed to work, then one day it just clicked.
What if the low E is also not in tune?
That’s the thing, you tune it relative to the lower e string. It will always be IN tune if you do this, but you can’t know for sure that it is tuned in E, if you understand what I mean.
@@axelwiden-thulin9423The pitches are objective. If the first note is not in tune, a person with relative pitch would know.
@@statesman6379 Yeah thats what i trouble with even though i've been playin for 8 years. If my low e is out of tune i may tune it one fret lower or higher and than tune other strings one fret lower or higher too. Technically it's not out of tune, i tune it right but but not in the right key lol.
Thats the thing, it’s not tuned in E. It’s tuned relative to itself.
Correct. This is not a magic trick. The elementary school click bait title is misleading. This is simply how to use relative tuning to tune a guitar. I recommend taking an ear training class and learning how to memorize pitches. The ability to hear the low is is crucial for this to be practical. Once you’ve learned to hear E correctly, then use this method to tune.
I'm painfully in need of metronome exercises. I just subscribed. Thank you
Thank you for subscribing, try the exercise in the video, and I will come up with some more ideas. Do you have anything specific you want to see.
Very useful! Spicing up my chord progressions.
to much work, i just leave it in there. My guitar is now a very good rhythm guitar
Not a bad idea, you will also always have an extra pick around
May the centrifical force be with you...
Good one
Do people really need a tutorial for this? Can you show us how to put the cap back on a gallon of milk next? Or maybe how to tear off a piece of toilet paper from the roll…
"a quick flip", *drops and breaks the guitar*
Dropped my hamster in there and used this method, can confirm it is efficient
Common sense it was the first thing I figured out within 2 mins of dropping my pick in the guitar when I was a kid
U feel good now? Lol
