I think you need to look into the rules for the BUS grant. You already have air to air installed. This may mean you can’t get the grant. You will also, most likely require planning permission as you wish to add a second heat pump to your property.

Being new to solar what is the Foxess Cloud 2.0 "Number" required to sign up to Octopus Agile? I've tried any number of things like account, Agile reference etc but I get "Octopus setting failed". I can get the API easily from Octopus. Thanks your help.

Thankyou for this . I have tried to contact Fox ESS to,help,without success . it’s an issue we have had since installation of a standalone pv 3 panel system augmentation with its own solis inverter. This has boosted output during the summer and has resulted in the alarm showing on the Fox system ( 14panels ) BMS and inverter indicating the battery charging (I assume) saying ‘overload’ ie fully charged . 0:05 At night the system seems to right itself and the batteries discharge as normal , then after 3-4 hrs daylight (except extreme overcast) the alarm goes on again . Been doing this for last few weeks but I am monitoring it . Been through your very helpful procedure as above a couple of times now but seems to get itself into a loop . Your comments would be most welcome. Thanks

New Fox ESS user, JA405, EP11 battery and HH1 3.7 1phase inverter. Is an error protocol different from regular start/shutdown process? The instructions document I got states: For startup: DC isolator On, Inverter On, AC isolator On, Switchboard On. To Shutdown says Switchboard off, AC Off, Inverter Off, DC off. HI. I have KH10 with 3x EP11 fitted. The max discharge rate in the app is 6000, but the max d/c rate of inverter and EP11 is 10kW. How can get max discharge rate enabled. Thanks

Is there any configuration for the internal Residual Current Device? In the manual they state it can be lowered mA to prevent external RCD trips, but no instructions on how/where to do it. 🤔

I can set up forced discharge using the mode scheduler but when I try to add a forced battery charge at different times, I get a message asking me to check whether times are overlapping. I can't see a button to press to say no overlap, The settings are not saved. Any suggestions please?

What a load of faff. Over 6 minutes before you mention the EP kit (the topic subject!) and 10 minutes before getting to the EP11 which you incorrectly compare with Powerwall capacities (even the early powerwall). Very poorly presented and executed presentation with endless references to "form factors" (whatever they are) and meaningless acronyms and model types. You missed the mark here Sir. If I wanted to spend 14+ minutes having someone read me 20 second worth of EP11 spec sheet, I would have already lost the will to live. I know I keep calling it a mono block but it actually appears that this is just the internal unit and not a mono block. Will check it out when the data sheets are published.

Really useful, I'm glad that the Modbus solution has become easier, almost tempted. Currently using the Cloud approach with HA but I want to find a way of using HA to directly control the Fox battery window settings so that I can coincide these with Intelligent Octopus Go. EV charging via the latter seems to drain my batteries rather too often as Octopus tends to change their windows in the middle of the night! Is this possible? Either with with Cloud (preferably) or perhaps a Modbus solution? PS. Have been running an Octopus Heat pump for nearly 2 years, some initial setup challenges but now running well & saving money on my gas boiler- happy to share my experiences!

What the difference between ep11 and ep10 they have the same specs just slightly different wattage.are they ep11s that with a couple of failed cells so have a slightly different output?

This is great just a quick question if I might. I am not clear on which IPADDRESS I should be using. I tried to research this with no success. There is an IP ADDRESS for the Raspberry PI, another for the RS485 Adapter and finally the Fox ESS Inverter. I am unable to get the FoxEss mobus to connect to the Inverter, I select the Ethernet to Modbus/RS485 Adapter " Unable to connect to your adapter. Ensure that the adapter is properly configured (see the setup link above) and the connection details are correct, then try again. Details: Connection to (192.168.68.79, 502) failed: [Errno 111] Connection refused". Should I have static IP addresses for all 3 devices?

What did you click what settings you didn't show anything just said it in words.... how do i get to that setting

The disparity in quotes from octopus is in my opinion very alarming,my quote 1970 3 bed detached with large bore copper pipes to all my radiators plus double glazing and cavity wall,was over £5300,this man £900,all he had different was maybe better loft insulation,i think they are just selecting on a as and when basis,nothing to do with the actual house specifications

My quote was £4438 and my house built 1955 with old copper cylinder and cold water tank in loft that’s why older properties are dearer more work. Had my survey done and need a 11kw Altherma 3 ASHP. I am now at the next stage with installation date 19th August and a pre engineer vist next week

just some feedback - be mindful of the size of your screen share / recording. Even with a 3440wide pixel screen - I am unable to read / identify anything on your screeen. As the video is fairly new - I would recommend doing a re-recording. Best wishes

Hi, I'm using cloud integration. I setup everything according to your previous video but the Energy dashboard is empty. I can create my own dashboard and it works fine, all the values are there. It seems that for example "FoxESS - Grid Consumption" is empty/has no values but "FoxESS - Grid Consumption Power" contains all the values. same story with "FoxESS - FeedIn" / "FoxESS - FeedIn Power" and "FoxESS - Grid Consumption" / "FoxESS - Grid Consumption Power". any idea why?

Hello, did anyone found out how to use "remote control". For 3 months i am trying to recieve rs485 -modbus mapping for Smart Communication Box, to be able to connect the inverters on SCADA, but FoxESS cant but it all togather and i will probably change all inverters and send them back to producer!

I find the quotation from Octopus all over the place. 4 bed semi 1950 but recently renovated with triple glazing, fully insulated to a high standard ,air heat recovery system with over sized rads and piping as we tried to make it heat pump ready . quote from octopus £7500

Jesus 30KWh a day for heating, what do you live in a mansion? Our price from Octopus almost 2 years ago was less than £2500 after grant in a 30's home. We did have to get a new EPC...

At about 15:18 you refer to the More tools option on the Fox web page. I can't find this. is it because I only have an End User account with Fox?
