Hi really enjoyed your video - where is your water 'pond' from, and how do you empty it? It looks as though you may be able to attach a hose to it, which would be great as ours is heavy to move to somewhere to empty.

Is there a reason why you didn't dip the duckling into a pan of body-temperature water from time to time, keeping its head above the water, so you could then wipe the dried yolk off without rubbing the duckling quite as vigorously? He's a lucky little duck, that you had the patience to save him.

the best way to tell is the males wings hang down lower than the female silkies.that's the real trick to sexing.

Literally 11pm at night heard kids screaming outside and there was a duck wondering the neighborhood. I made them stop harming the duck as they were throwing things shooting it with orbees had a strong word with all 6 kids and how horrible it was. Then I had my kids help wrangle the duck and got her in the backyard thanks to you I know it’s a her and I made sure she had water and she’s now happy as can be roaming the backyard we have wonderful grass and local wild flowers she’s foraging for bugs and found her water and already wet her face and has been drinking. This video was very helpful as I’ve never had a duck and had zero clue what sec it was. I’m a big animal person and couldn’t leave her out in the street to get hit or eaten by a coyote. I will be watching more videos if you have them on care for rubber ducks. She’s bluish black and beautiful I don’t want to name her hoping her owners show up and collect her but if not I may have a new pet lol

Thank you for the advice didn’t even know I was feeding my chickens and ducks bugs that were fed manure ! in the us it is perfectly legal and was not warned about the dangers to eggs even by fellow chicken farmer pals! thank you again at least I found out before I started getting eggs on a regular basis only a few are laying at about 4 months old!

I have some silkies and sent there DNA to a lab to test for Hen or Rooster

Hi just to ask i got a egg incubator when do the air vents get opened do the vents get opened only on lock down day. Or do the vents need to be half open throughout the whole processes.
