WE'RE ON HERE ADVENTURES
Australia
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 22 ต.ค. 2021
G'day my name is Tyson
We're on here adventures is all about sharing the adventures of my friends, family and myself.
As I get older, Im realising the thing I enjoy the most in this world is the challenge of trying to hunt and sustain myself on fish and wild game. There is nothing more rewarding to me than enjoying a meal you have harvested yourself.
I'm not sure where my travels will take me. But I do know I'll have a fishing rod in one hand and a rifle in the other looking for a meal I have harvested myself. I'm sure it will be one hell of an adventure!
Thank you to everyone who has subscribed and supports the channel. We really appreciate it 🤜🤛

YALATA it's a LOVE/HATE relationship - MULLOWAY on the FAR WEST COAST - South Australia fishing
G'day guys we are back in Yalata and on our annual trip to try and catch a mulloway of a lifetime.
It's been a few years since I have caught a legal size mulloway
Not only did I nearly forget how good it felt to catch one
I honestly nearly forgotten how good they tasted
For us, eating what we catch is our goal, but the challenge and adventure of getting it is what we live for.
The farwest coast of south Australia is unique. There is nothing like it. It's harsh. It's beautiful, it's rugged, and it's raw
Anyone who has fished here would probably agree with me in saying a love-hate relationship is a good way to sum up yalata
At its best, it's great, there's not too many places in Australia where you can catch some of the biggest silver ghosts during the day in some of the most beautiful country you have ever seen
But at its worst, no one would blame you for thinking what the hell am I doing here. that's what makes this place special. You'll definitely earn whatever success you get
At the end of the day we come out here to challenge ourselves, hopefully to learn something new, we get to take a breath and get out of the rat race and hopefully if we're lucky we might catch that fish of a lifetime 🤙

มุมมอง 1857 หลายเดือนก่อน
G'day! On this hunt, I'm with my good mate Mark hunting Fallow Deer on his farm in the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula Mark has become somewhat of a hunting mentor to me, spending time hunting with him has become something I really look forward to. Now the clock is ticking and I'm in bit of a predicament. The rut is on and my beautiful partner and myself are expecting our second baby any day now. ...

A GIANT mako takes our BIG BAIT and JUMPS next to the boat - South Australia

G'day legends On this trip my old man and myself will show you how to catch the world's fastest, most acrobatic, meanest looking shark in The Great Southern Ocean. This shark is the cousin to The Great White, it is the falcon of the sea, it is the MAKO SHARK! To say this shark goes off like a cut snake is an understatement. The mako shark can jump 30 feet out of the water, that is the equivalen...

Is that like nearly 180?
Hi mate na it was 110cm, my PB. Hopefully one day I can catch a monster 👍
Good to see mono and you rocking the old Mitchell 498 - very reliable reel, don't care what anyone says!
Cheers mate. My old man definitely loves that reel. He has been fishing with it for 35 years and I'm happy to see him get a nice fish on it from time to time 🍻
This was the first year in 16 years I havent been there. Unfortunately life & its dramas have gotten in the way for me in 2024 but should be be back next year.
Sorry to hear you've had a tough 2024 mate. Hopefully 2025 is your year and you get onto some good fish. 16 years in a row is an absolutely awesome effort mate 🍻👍
It's a real pity the rest of the country's shire's don't want quads on the beaches; they make fishing with a low footprint possible.
I couldn't agree more with you mate, the footprint wouldn't even come close to what a 4x4 would do
good stuff lads, pitty about the drone but a few good mullys make up for it! i was over at dogfence this time last november from NSW, caught soapies and xl salmon. i intend to go again late jan early feb
Thanks mate. Yeah it's been a few years since we have caught a decent mulllway, such a good feeling. I hope you catch some fish when you come back over again. Good luck to you mate 👍
We will be heading there in 2 weeks for 10 days can't wait great video to
Thanks mate 👍 best of luck to you. hope you have a great trip and you catch some fish
Great episode mate good to see you back my mate from work invited me on a fishing trip to Yalata over 30 years ago was one of the best fishing trips I've ever been on even though no beer or maybe a sneaky 1 and good to see an old 499 Mitchell still being used there bullet proof.we are head to wa in January might see ya at streaky.😊
Thanks mate we really appreciate it 🍻 Yalata is a pretty special place, I'm happy to hear you had a great fishing trip. My old man loves his Mitchell reels, there will always be one with us when we are beach fishing. Sounds good mate enjoy your trip to WA 🤜🤛
Thai green curry Nannygai is the best. how many finger cuts? no gloves
Nannygai would have to be one of the best easting fish going around. Hahaha yeah mate my hands look like I tried wrestling a feral cat after handling a few nanny's. Gloves definitely would be a smart option 🍻
Great vid Would pay good money to know what river that is 😂
Hey bro what size reel is that?
Hey bro it's a shimano tiagra 50
Hey man what rod and reel did you use
Hi mate sorry for the late reply. I'm running a shimano tiagra 50 with 80 pound mono. The rod was a gift from a family friend. It's an angler rods 24kg line cast I.G.F.A. Do you chase makos?
@wereonhereadventure6358 no but I want to just don't know what to use and don't like spending 1000 dollars on equipment any recommendations
If I was to catch one fish for the rest of my life it would have to be the Barra in my back yard i the Fitzroy river
Great choice mate 👌 I haven't caught myself a Barra yet but they look like one hell of a fish to catch
Great video Cookie Drullett😂 bummer about the anchor 🥺🤪
Haha thank you Annmarie, we are bloody hopeless 😆
Great video guy's
Cheers mate 🍻👍
Good hunting mate. It’s a great feeling knowing the freezer is getting topped up. Geez that GoPro made feel a little motion sickness😆. Congrats to you and the Mrs on the arrival of your lad as well. Back into the whiting soon hey. Keep up the top vids as well. Cheers 👍🏼
Cheers legend 🍻 haha I know hey I couldn't believe it that I accidentally put the gopro onto a weird setting, little bit disappointing. I was hoping for a better buck, but I'm just as happy to have some real quality meat in the freezer. I definitely need to take the family out soon and get some whiting. Cheers mate 👍
Nice work on the deer, you are so lucky to have a mate that's willing to teach you and share his property. I am resigned to the fact that the only way I will get a deer is to buy one from behind a fence. Welcome to the world Ollie!
Cheers mate really appreciate it 🍻 where are you from? There is some really good public land hunting in Victoria if you ever find yourself hunting there 👍
Wow with that shot I'm shock you guys didn't cape it out
G'day, my mate shaun before the trip said if he shoots anything bigger that 27 inches he would cape it out. This one wasn't there, unfortunately 🍻
You do need to teach them young (nice whiting) I'm the youngest in my family and me and dad love fishing (I'm grownup with my dad bringing me fishing)
Thanks mate 😁 I'm so happy to hear you love fishing with your dad. Hopefully you get many more amazing years fishing with him. I still love fish with my old man and now I have kids of my own I'm so happy I get to do it with them too. Thanks mate, tight lines 🤜🤛
thanks mate
Awesome video footage man! What a cool 😎 looking mako🦈 Love the blue on the top of this beauty 💙 I would love to see one jump up close in person like you did right here! 😀
Thank you 😊 they are amazing 🦈
@wereonhereadventure6358 Ikr. You're welcome. 💙🦈 May God bless 🙏 you and stay safe. I became a fan of yours since I first started watching your videos! I am a new subscriber to your TH-cam channel. Keep reeling more of your videos and short videos. 👍✌️🙂 💙💙💙💙

Cheers mate 🍻
Good videos dude

💞Wow💛💛💗💗💗💛💗
Looks like a killer spot, care to share roughly where it is? keep the vids going...awesome
Cheers mate 🍻 its roughly near Ceduna 👍 thanks for the support mate
What gumboots have ya got mate
Hi mate I gave my mate a call and he couldn't remember what brand they were but they are snakegum boots. Hope this helps 👍
Hey mate great video, just wondering how do you know which parts of Alpine National Park are state forest and therefore available to hunters? Are there maps or something that you use? Just wondering as I plan to go sambar hunting there in the future and am aware that only certain parts of the park can be hunted.
Thanks mate 🍻 jump on to the more to explore Vic app to find out where you can and can't hunt it's really handy. But when we are in the bush we use an app called hunt stand to track where we go. Both apps you can download areas off line so you can use them without internet. Hope this helps mate 👍
Cheers mate@@wereonhereadventure6358
Another quick question, where do you recommend going to enter the park and what's your typical method for getting set up? I'm yet to go sambar hunting so trying to learn as much as possible.@@wereonhereadventure6358
CONGRATULATIONS!!! What was the calibre and load etc?
Cheers mate 🍻 shaun used a 300 win mag, it was a 140 BBT projectile 👍
@@wereonhereadventure6358 Scope?? and , you know the problem with freshwater fish? Not enough salt, LOL, but true. That was a AAAAAAA looking trout, beautiful, really awesome.
@justme.9711 haha thanks heaps for the kind words mate 🍻 I'm definitely more of an ocean fisherman, you can't beat the salt 😆 Shaun runs a Leupold vx5 hd 4-20x52. Hope this helps mate 👍
Snapper of the beach
Hi mate, you can definitely catch snapper off the beach. but we didn't get any unfortunately 👍
What gun
G'day mate shaun used a 300 win mag for this shot 👍
@@wereonhereadventure6358 thanks
bro there is any restaurent or pub in yalata??
Hi mate, there are no pubs in yalata. It is indigenous land and alcohol is not allowed. I'm pretty sure the closest place to get a drink is in the Nundroo road house which is about half hour away 👍
Those are so much fun to catch great video😊
Cheers legend 🍻 they are the best 👍
Awesome catch man! 👍✌️😃 Keep up the great work! I would love to learn how to fish for 🦈🦈s! That's been always my dream to catch one! 😊
What do you do with your catch ???? Can you eat them???❤
G'day, yes we eat mako sharks. They are regarded as the tasties shark to eat. Unfortunately after fighting this shark for an hour it busted off my line 😩 hopefully next time 🤞👍
WHY DID YOU NOT SHOW THE “WHOLE VIDEO “ ??? 🤔☹️😣😖😬💩🧠
Sorry mate youtube shorts only go for 60 seconds. Hard to fit everything in. Full video is on my channel 👍
Sharks 🦈 in the water your in the boat on the water Uz gona need a bigger boat But all kidding aside that’s cool Can you eat makos What do you do with them once you get em????
@johnsichler6112 haha cheers mate 🍻 we eat mako sharks. They are regarded as the tasties shark to eat. Unfortunately this shark busted off our line an hour into the fight. Usually we tire these sharks out and then it takes a bit of effort to get them in the boat. It is definitely a big process 👍
Awesome footage mate. He could’ve been a struggle to get it in deck. He was a big one.
Thanks legend 🍻 I always appreciate your comments 🤜🤛 yeah mate I don't think we would have got that one in 😆 It was huge. If we had another hand on deck, we would have given it a crack haha
Nice one, there are plenty more on that side of the EP, cheers
Cheers mate 🍻 yeah i have definitely seen few on this side 👍 good numbers out there.
Nice session and what a big mako! Was that off Streaky Bay? And what boat do you run?
Cheers mate 👍 yeah this is out from Streaky Bay. We run an Ocean Tech 🍻
@@wereonhereadventure6358 nice one what is it about 6m?
Yeah mate our ocean tech is 6m 👍
great hunt lads , my only criticism it looked fairly dry the countryside i mean, I am so anti-fire in the dry weather and my agenda is for us hunters we can enjoy that life in Victoria but a few more campfires causing bush fire and campfires will be banned totally and while they are at it I'm sure access to public lands for camping and hunting will be "reviewed " I usually stop hunting end of spring and I don't start again until winters kicked in I will never have a fire when the bush is dry it's just not worth the risk
G'day mate, I couldn't agree more you can't be too careful when it comes to fires. This was our only fire this trip and it was about 1m away from the river to cook our fish. We assessed the risk and we found it to be appropriate 👍 thanks for your comment mate
This was awesome mate, really enjoyed this. drone shots of you fellas riding through the sand dunes was epic.
Cheers mate, thanks for the awesome comment 🤜🤛
Great ambassador to tell the story of a hunting experience. What an adventure lads, Great work
Thanks for great comment mate, we really appreciate it 🍻
No I'm
Fortunately, I am Muslim, so beer does not interest me What I don't like is why you park your cars so far from the beach Why ?
G'day mate, we park our cars at the designated camp sites and use the quad bikes/ATV's to travel through the dunes and along the beach. This place is unique as we are allowed to use bikes. Using bikes is better as there is less chance of getting stuck in the sand dunes. They give us peace of mind knowing we aren't going to get get into trouble. Hope this helps 👍
@@wereonhereadventure6358 I wish you lasting peace of mind ❤️
Your videos are quality mate, keep it up!
Thanks mate, I really appreciate it 🍻🤜🤛
Love the edit mate great work🤟
Thanks mate 🤜🤛 really appreciate it 👍
Fantastic effert blokes shame yous never pulled it off and better luck next time ,ima shore its going to happen for yous
Thanks mate 🍻 we are going to keep giving it a crack. Hopefully next year 🤞👍
Just got back from yalata, that storm was epic and the rain was sideways. Its a shame the fishing wasn't great and the wind mixed with the weed made it one of the toughest years i've had all round. 4 soapies, 4 nice gummies (1 toothpick) 1 ray and a baby bronzie.
It definitely was a challenging trip mate, I can say it was my hardest. When you book a year in advance it's always a roll of the dice with the weather you get. Im happy to hear you got some fish on the beach mate. Hopefully next year is a better year 👍
I’m confused, if you could carry the trophy why couldn’t you carry more meat? I’m not a hunter, but very interested in learning BTW.
G'day mate. It just comes down to weight and how much we were capable of carrying out. We had a 5 hour walkout up the hardest mountain we've ever taken on. Our packs were already full 20+ kgs, + the meat + the trophy. It was alot. If we didn't take the trophy, a lot more meat would have been taken. Hope this helps 👍
You have excellent videos mate, great narration. Keep at it, your channel deserves far more subs and views than it has.
Thanks so much for the kind words mate, I really appreciate it 🍻
660m! I hunt them with a lever action in thick scrub. 100m max for me! Great shot.
Thanks mate 👍 I still can't believe how perfect that shot was. Everything just fell into place. That would be great fun in thick bush with a lever action. Hope you're getting a few mate 🍻
Great video mate, beautiful place. Have you had much luck out Jaxons / Bobs way or do you stick to Coombra side?
Thanks mate 🍻 iv only fished Granites and Coombra side. My old man used to head up to the Hilton back in the day and got some nice fish 👍
Nice one! Which camp were you staying at Bobs?
Cheers mate, we only just got back from another trip to yalata today. This trip we were camping at granites 👍
Hi there just came across your vid great trip by the looks of it what time of year was that
Hi mate 👍 this trip was in October. Cheers 🍻
