This story about Nicholas was a good one however you left quite a few untied ends in these relationships. There were no climaxes in the relationships and you had set them up to happen but you never followed up on those parts of your story. Consequently the story fell flat at these junctures. Where was Nicholas' mother and what happened to her? At first we were led to believe that possibly Roberta was his mother. She turned out not to be but that was not explored either. So since Nicholas' mother was not Roberta, who was and where was his real mother??? No climax with the relationship between Roberta and Andre either. When Roberta took Nicholas to see Andre for the first time, I expected to hear something from Roberta when she sees Andre for the first time after so many years. You treated the two of them as if they had never met before. When we first met Roberta she was apparently in love with Andre, or that was how you led us to believe. That part of the story could have been handled better. And what was the dangerous situation with Andre that made him leave his mother and son behind? Andre had said he was afraid his son would be in danger if he stayed around. How so? Why did you not explain that situation to us. Another untied situation in this story. Andre also showed no interest or recollection in Roberta either. As you can see several avenues of emotional issues were left hanging without being resolved at all. It was a good story but it lacked a lot of unfinished situations in the relationships. Maybe these need to be more carefully crafted, tying them up as you move along your story line. Just a suggestion. Good authors tie up loose ends and complete the story at every turn. Pay more attention to each character and develop the relationships as they interact.

This story is sweet and thanks for having such a loving and caring grandmother . Nicholas was given a great talent and the love for his grandmother gave him the strength he needed to lift himself to greater heights .I am glad that he found his father and that special lady Rebertha .I wish Nicholas happiness and success for the rest of his life now that he has a family to share it with
