    I am one of your Caucasian listeners. I am a curious outsider. I’ve been researching Hoodoo for a novel I’m working on. Your channel is pure gold! Just as a side note my Scottish ancestor was brought as a slaveto America. He worked in the iron mines in 1640.

    By the way the content in your videos is quite detailed and we can know these things through our ancestors or even our direct relatives but if you've got the determination and the understanding to be able to pass these things along without judgment or direct blood ties and generational teachings,, than those people who slam you and show ill will toward you can kiss your you know what! I feel so bad for TH-cam publishers who have excellent content and do extensive research to put it out there for all of us and yet they have to defend themselves to strangers. Sweetie let those people go hide in the shadows and darkness because your spirit definitely shines a light on it and they don't like it! I certainly agree that if you're going to practice these things or speak of intense rituals without knowing what you're doing then it's all on you man. Just like witchcraft we cannot practice this stuff without knowing what we're doing or we can cause a hell of a big calamity if not accidental deaths. 😊

    I believe the answer has been given in his statement of Christianity and enslavement NOT going hand in hand (as it works AS HELP FOR enslaved). However, CHURCHIANITY and ENSLAVEMENT DOES (as it works AGAINST the prayers of the enslaved)!!!! SO There's is NO REAL Christianity in the Church as it's been REMOVED and REPLACED with THEIR gods/beliefs AND CHURCHIANITY and then RE-"named" as Christianity and force-fed to our Ancestors & Us. And as long as we continue to hold their lies as our truths, we will remain in BONDAGE. In clear words= christianity is not practiced by enslaved people as it works in our favor 🙌🏾, instead, they have our people practicing CHURCHIANITY as CHURCHIANITY and ENSLAVEMENT ARE TWINS!!!!! GOD WILL PROVIDE US WITH THE TRUTH, IT'S UP TO US TO ACKNOWLEDGE IT, ACCEPT IT AND BELIEVE IT WHEN IT IS SHOWN TO US!!!!! Asé.

  • @yugelo1
    @yugelo1 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Totally agree with you on this one! It's OUR practice from OUR ancestors, any opinions other than OURS are null, void, and don't matter. In my opinion, if you ain't African American keep it pushin, THIS IS STRICTLY FOR US! No offense to anyone but all other groups/ethnicities/cultures have their own spirituality... HOODOO is ours. I totally agree with Hoodoo initiations or any other innovation that adds to the practice...if our Ancestors did not innovate with what they had then we would not have a practice today. The only danger I see with adding things in is that some stray TOO FAR away from the root and it becomes a break off practice that is unrecognizable to the origin. As far as the payment for initiation...one must acknowledge "the law of exchange" ... you not getting something for nothing, whether spiritually or physically... BUT the way some of these spiritualist move remind me of the mega church...all transaction and no spirit!!! You struck a cord with this one!!!

    I am long winded and sorry for the typos because I am talking instead of typing, but thank you for also calling him out as a spirit all on his own the way you separated, nanny, and the other mother spirit thank you for that even in IFA I have heard different origin stories about particular orishas so I think that Differences happen but what you offer is something different you actually try to separate the entities and that is awesome I like how you inspire the idea that one particular spirit can shape shift or have different versions of itself materialize, or not and in other cases different versions/variations actually are different spirits themselves, but have gotten confused along the way that is something that learners need to hear

    Thank you for connecting him to brother rabbit thank you for your time. Thank you for being a millennial dedicated to this type of black studies. It is still very much a part of who we are. Point blank I think it becomes like a debate when people take it as a religion versus Our cultural make up As far as the advocate, everyone kind of does that even if we just do it mentally with thinking about things from different angles, that’s just another way of saying, looking at it from another view, but a students in those who are attracted to spirit we are going to seek no matter what so it’s kind of cool to have different types of teachers, especially ones who are versatile and agile Because spirit isn’t always from one angle and some spirits are omnipotent so multi angles are a must keep up the good work

  • @KeshiaWilliam-f6x
    @KeshiaWilliam-f6x 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

    So would you say in a way that since he was a spirit sent to comfort and God our ancestors during slavery could he be seen as our collective consciousness that sort of dissolves once we listen to it because he didn’t care about our tribes or anything he was just there for us so maybe it is our collective conscious Could he still be summoned for liberation out of oppressive situations? He has to have foresight beyond just the ending of slavery. Could he be a guide for the beautiful side of Black people who are always fighting for better conditions of their people or a materializer for revolutionaries?

  • @KeshiaWilliam-f6x
    @KeshiaWilliam-f6x 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Well, as strange as this might sound sometimes when I think about him, I sometimes see, or am reminded of those shows where they are making fun of the black person who was attempting to trick the master disobey the master, and then they try to create something where he has heard or punish which I’m sure sometimes happened, but It’s rare that I see his spirit brought up for the beauty of what it was because a lot of times like I said when I see his spirit brought up, I also see the other side where they try to destroy his strength encourage so this was really a beautiful piece and I really don’t hear often people telling stories Uplifting like Americans strictly a lot of times I see it always mixed, which is fine because we all have some can ship no matter how we describe it or what words we use, but we certainly need podcast and Time where ONLY our story is told because other African and Caribbean islands so their stories and it’s honored because they are an actual country but because we are second citizens in America, ours is always watered down or put down.

    I appreciate the video, however I'm sure we've seen the vintage photos of "nurses" who breastfeed the masters children and they are darker skinned women (which would have been a Mammy). So I bring that up to say darker women were definitely in the home, whether they were perceived as attractive or not. I also understand how you're not saying dark skinned people aren't attractive so I'm not attacking
