Hi, I'm Dima and restoration is my passion 😄
It all started in childhood, when my grandfather taught me to create something with my own hands. I’ve started from simple toys that I carved out of wood, then my grandfather taught me how to create and restore furniture, and then I also got carried away with radio technic. Today I restore vintage radios, tubes amplifiers, knives, watches and everything that seems interesting to me or requires salvation from the dump (in my hands these things get a new life).
Recently, my wife asked me why I don’t shoot my restorations on video, because it’s beautiful and may be interesting to someone, and I decided to try it.

Nice work, but why didn't you make the handle scales with the grain running lengthwise rather than across? It would have been stronger that way and less liable to crack.

Отличная работа! Благодаря Вам я смог починить свой револьвер RÖHM RG89. Он очень похож на RG79, правда есть небольшие изменения в механизме. Для сведения... Две маленькие пружинки в механизме храповика можно взять из обыкновенной газовой зажигалки.

Was there anything on the original tape that came with the recorder? I love hearing the original recordings made back when the unit was new.

Roger that ! Dad gave me an RG- 66, 22lr single action revolver when I was 16. It quit cocking a year or so later. I took it apart to try and fix it. Well, I got it apart ! After having no clue how to reassemble it- I put all the parts in a bag. My girlfriend's Dad messed with guns and told me to bring it over and he would look at it. In a whole 20 minutes he had it back together - and it worked and fired ! I'm 60 now, and that ole RG cowboy revolver is still working just great. It's loaded and sits by my bed with a couple of other guns.
