That’s awesome
Hello, You got low autoritary then 10 hz with this 18 inch slap?
@@fire1200 Sorry, not sure if I understand the question.
I have a box with two of those and a Mr.MusicMan 15v2 and its thunder. Only 2cf for the sub and 1 cube for each Pump (per instructions). loud all day.
The PR seems to resonate in the whole sub range and sometimes just the sorround moves. Very odd
That's the bauty of this odd passive radiator. See my other movie with it with less weight and in slow motion. Thanks for the comment.
@@alex.G.R.Z Visually speaking yes. Functional wise it would be interesting to do some measurements to analyse it's behaviour acoustically speaking.
@@kaedeschulz5422 Agree 👍
Remember the Basspumps that you could mount under the rear deck/pacakge tray ??
You will probably run into phase issues but still cool
Nice set up bro 4:34 name of the music please.
Thanks! Song: 808 Dreams - Bassotronics
That's actually a super awesome idea I would only like to add one thing for you to take in consideration that is the amount of volume that can come into the earthquake passive radiator side, right now you have about 1/2ish of the volume that is needed, the size of the port feeding those radiators needs to be equal to the same amount of surface area of both of them so they could be fed correctly otherwise you end up having a bottleneck right at the port and the radiators are feeding off of whatever can come out but it's not enough, you can see by the shaking of the radiators how they are shaking left and right instead of just moving in an hour with the radiator mount being still, it's vibrating because the air is fighting which side that little bit of air can come out instead of both sides being able to pressurize evenly pushing both radiators at the same time, but with too little air flow you end up having that little bit of air that does make it into the radiators fight which side they do get to go to and it causes a lot of turbulence and you end up with one or the other being pushed at random thus causing the vibration instead of it remaining still, and on top of that it'll end up creating weird random resonances instead of the sound pressure being the point of origin.
Earthquake said it's absolutely fine to mount it this way.
@@alex.G.R.Z well what you could do to prove it to yourself is this, measure the square inches of the opening to those reflex speakers, the opening part where you connected to the box that is, then measure the amount of square inches on both of the backs of the surfaces of those flex drivers and you will see that those two numbers don't add up the same, there are more square inches of surface on those drivers then there are square inches feeding those drivers, that means those drivers are having priority over the actual controls of the response, I'm sure they tried their best to come up with a product but they did after all have to create a opening that you can match to a box so they had some size restraints.
What if I took this, and put it on the side of a pioneer TS-A3000LB. It's a single down firing 12, in a flat box I can put stuff on top of. This setup would fit perfectly in the side of my trunk, with the pump 12 in the furthest corner. The measurements seem like it would mount perfect.
Good artwork.
Gostei muito do subgrave; gostoso de ouvir, desce bem a resposta! Parabéns pelo projeto!
Im surprised at the pretty much perfect seal of the enclosure as the passive Radiator is moving way more than the sub. You would think there would be much more of an airleak because of the gaps between legos
There is a mdf box under the legos.
@@alex.G.R.Z ah ok that makes more sense lol I don't think it's possible to have a fully Lego box anyways not with that kind of weight
Wow thats insane. 5:00 playback speed .5 on 1080p you can see moments when only the inner surround is flexing. Moments when only the middle surround is flexing. And moments where on the outer are flexing. Then other times you see them all move together in unison or together but opposite. Sometines you see it do the wave, starting with the outside flexing then the middle and then the inner. This is such a cool setup
Thanks for the comment. See my other slow-motion movie on this setup with less weight on the radiator and different pusheen 👍
It looks like it has different vibrational modes. I wonder what the phase is like because I'm interested in whether this is expanding the range of amplification by widening the number of tuning frequencies, or is there phase cancellation going on? I can't tell because my subwoofers are limited to about 35 Hz. I must plug in my in ear headphones.
@@TimpBizkit Btw, ony inner was flexing @ 13-15hz.
Taramps MD 8000.1 👍 у меня такой же моноблок.
@AlexG.R.Z- I can't wait for your new Ib setup! This passive setup, with the Earthquake Slaps passive, did you try corner loading? Like putting the passive 15cm from the back wall, and the active woofer 10cm from a side wall? This should increase your maximum output 2 to 4Db approx.
No, I've build it for someone and haven't tried this option. See my other passive radiator builds. The one with slaps-18 is cool 😎

Diffrent. Depends on individual taste.
Wow. I'm very impressed with your builds. Very well detailed.
Nice setup. But doesn't that kill efficiency? And I didn't know it was safe to mix batteries like that. Doesn't the draw from the caps draw too many amps from the lead acid batteries
@@bassheadfanatik Passive radiatirs will add efficiency and also lower hz of your box. I'm not mixing batteries so not sure what you're on about.

Just wanted to do something different.
@@alex.G.R.Zwell it's definitly that! I love it bro good work
Awesome
Hello! What is difference with this Sound Pump? Quality, low bass, high bass, loud?
Hard to answer your question. Two 12" passive radiators have been added. Need to read about passive radiators. In general, more bass and deeper bass. Better quality then standard port.
9 months late... but basically, it depends on the passive radiators. They can be tuned, much like a port, by adding or removing mass. They have certain advantages and disadvantages. It all comes down to the combination of active drivers, box volume, passive radiators and their respective mass tuning. They generally offer better extension than ported with equivalent box volume. Group delay at FS can be slightly worse. "Can"- it all depends on the application. They're most often used in small Bluetooth speakers these days. When enclosure size is severely limited, as in a small Bluetooth speaker, they far outperform a traditional ported design (all things equal).
@@alex.G.R.Z -Why is it hard to give your opinion on how this pump-12 sounds/performs, vs without it, or compared to other enclosures you have had, or heard? Not many people care, or believe marketing hype, real world results/testing/listening from an unpaid person means more. All though opinions & preferences vary, its nice to get feed back from someone who owns the product. Does it have more peak, & 20 Hz output vs a regular sealed enclosure, does it still sound tight, & accurate, etc.?
@@evilinside5984 I can confirm that you will get more output by adding the pump, especially at the low end. Also with adding weights you can tune your box very low without adding box space. Hope thos helps. I have one home, I ve added the pump 12 to my single 10" extra long stroke sub and made box slightly bigger and now my sub performs as good 15" or even 18" sub would.
@@alex.G.R.Z - Thank you for your response. This is what i think alot of people want to know. Have you done any testing to see what orientation/configuration has the best results/performance? Like sub back, passive to the side, sub up, passive back, etc.?
It's a low hitting monster.
Any new updates on your new setup? Did you ever ✔️ the db of this system?
It did 149db @ 25hz
@@alex.G.R.Z- Very nice score @ 25Hz! I ❤️ low freq.
What Db? Nice system.
Ever meter the Db?
I thought this pump was designed to push air out of the port mouth? Earthquake shows using this pump with the passives inside of the enclosure, so the mouth/opening can vent outwards. Did you ever try the pump inside of this enclosure, to see if it changed the performance?
Tried both and it works both ways. Only difference is you get more box volume and can see membranes working when installed this way.
Ever get to meter this car?

Great video. Unique setup and well executed. Thanks for sharing!
Im just wondering, because I curious.....Did you get the tsp's of all four of those woofers, & did the math to figure out how to tune your passive radiator? or just made it and slapped it in there? & for the weight is your weight the unicorn? Did you use a scale? Is there like clay or something in the unicorn to add your mass....Passive radiators explained here, & can also find in the Loudspeaker Design Cookbook......th-cam.com/video/YlWZ3UIYOMw/w-d-xo.html
Thanks, I did the math and yes I have a scale. There are weights added on at the other side of radiator and unicorn is also calculated in. It is turned to 22hz using Earthquake Sound calculator for SLAPS.
@@alex.G.R.Z I had wondered, It is one of the coolest, probably the coolest passive radiator setup Ive ever seen...Good Job! Also the passive radiator, did it come like that with multiple surrounds? Or did you make it? & whats the big surround? 22in?

I don't know, them bitches seem to be moving pretty good to me. What would you have chosen?
Sorry, impossible to please everyone.
I so wanna do this with my blackdeath 6x9s
It looks really cool. I'm just not 100% sure without hearing it and seeing it in person if seeing the radiator moving what seems like in different directions in different parts of radiator at the same time if it's completely in phase with itself like it might be delayed. As I said, without hearing it in person, I can't say or criticize.
I'm wondering how many vibrational modes it has and if they are all in phase. It would be cool to have a range of tuning frequencies as long as they aren't causing phase cancellations. I look for +/- 90 degrees of phase but sometimes bits of the radiator are doing different things, so the total swept displacement is hard to estimate.
