The International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) is the largest union of maritime workers in North America, representing 70,000 men and women longshore workers on the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts, Great Lakes, major U.S. rivers, Puerto Rico, Eastern Canada, and the Bahamas.
The South Atlantic and Gulf Coast District, ILA (SAGCD), represents the longshore workers in ports from North Carolina to Texas. Together, SAGCD, with the Atlantic Coast District, ILA (ACD), compose the ILA today.
The history of the ILA, benefiting from strong, progressive leaders fighting for better wages, hours and working conditions, has resulted in a modern and efficient workforce keeping America moving.

2018 ILA-USMX Hole in the Wall Gang Camp Charity Golf Tournament 25th Anniversary

The International Longshoremen's Association (ILA) first partnered with the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Ashford, Connecticut a quarter of a century ago and in the 25 years the union has been raising money for the Camp for children with cancer and other life threatening illnesses, it has donated more than $3 million. The ILA and USMX leaders thank the industry for their generous contributions.

Love this video!! As someone who’s been an ILA trainer on various pieces of equipment For over 20 years I think it’s great to see these women excel. Women learn so much easier. Us guys are too thick headed.

These are some hard hitting women that I'm proud to say I personally know. Nothing was given to these women. They can do everything on the Waterfront that men can do. Love working beside them......it's an honor
