About 4-5 years ago, my business was shut down by COVID, I got sued, lost my job, and my mom died - all in the same year. Total accident, but crack. There was an apartment all my friends and I hung out at. One guy asked if anyone was up to heading to the bar for a couple of beers. Then on the next opportunity, I was invited to Texas ! A friend of mine invited me down for a few weeks and when I got there, it started all over again !! I was violently raped and physically abused very badly ,I was forced to lay down sod in terribly hot and humid conditions ,I would be raped every night by this man and he would physically abuse me all day !! My friend was powerless to stop him as he was abused as well !! The worst part of this was I heard the phone ring and he picked it and I listened on another phone and it was my parents congratulating him for raping and abusing me !! My friend saw the tears in my eyes and he tried comfort me ! And after this I was in treatment for a 25 years and no one said or did anything to help me ,no one was arrested and held accountable for their acts of evil !! I still get nightmares about it and it still hurts to this day !! Even the therapists I saw tried to put the blame on me !! In those 25 years not one single therapist really tried to help me !! Now I only cope deal with the constant pain of being victimized over and over again !! The only person who truly tried to help me was uncle I was really close to !! If not for his love and understanding, I would be lost !! He helped heal me and he me talk through it and he listened and acknowledged and knew I was not lying !! He did a lot for me and I am a survivor because he took the time to help me heal the way I needed to heal !! Many men have this issue and often don't have the type of health professional needed to help them !! These men need professional help ,a mentor ,a caring family member or a trusted friend!! The professionals do not help men very well as they are better suited for women!! The male role models are few and far between and men are told just to suck it up and take it !! Men ,today are ostracized, demonized and humiliated whenever they talk about this subject !! My therapists all told me similar things !! Men ,find an outlet ,someone you know ,will truly listen and offer help !!

Not something that happened to me, but to a couple of friends of mine when we were 13. "Sorry you're going to have to put that through your insurance." We then got a letter from the guys insurance company claiming over TWO THOUSAND pounds worth of damage (including realignment of the chasis) and asking for details of our insurance company. I sent a letter back, including a photograph my wife had taken of the tiny scratch. I also mentioned that it would be impossible for such a slight brush with a baby buggy to have caused distortion of the chasis without injuring the child being carried. The fact that the child didn't even awaken from the impact proves that the severity of the contract was excedingly small. Furthermore, we don't have insurance on our baby buggy as that's not required. We never heard any more about it.
