I wanted this to work on UE4 Mannequin but it didnt work... Thought for 1 hr then i finally understood that i had add a default slot in animation blueprint. BTW THANKS FOR THE SYSTEM FOR FREE!!
Hi, I'm trying to implement this where pressing G allows you to pat the horse at any time, but I'm not sure where to put it. I put it on the player blueprint but then it only works when not on the horse, but if I put it in the horse blueprint it just causes the horse model to break. I assume I have to add it to the horse blueprint and target the player to play the animation somehow, but I'm not sure how/where to do this?

Critical Chance +100 should be 115%. Some games do it this way rather than ceiling at 100%. The main benefit to do it this way is so that you can implement a Defense attribute which subtracts incoming critical damage allowing the possibility to block some critical damage. Otherwise the 100% scaling would be too linear especially for end game
Yes, in this example, Tenacity is to reduce critical chance, you just need to open DT_Attribute_Rules and modify the CriticalChance MaxValue

Works perfect with mannequins but when I switch to metahumans the animation does not work properly specially the leg part...if anyone knows the solution please help!!!

This breaks everything when you disable root motion lock. Now every animation is moving instead of running in place and the character is rubber banding all over the place.

Found what seems to be a fix for the FootIKs that would hopefully save everyone some time. Try going into the retargeter make sure you have the corresponding IK chains set up on both the Source and Target IK Mappers then in the Chain Mapping section click on both the LeftFootIK,RightFootIK target chains and set the Translation Mode to Absolute and Translation Alpha to 1. Double check by previewing a Joging Animation which should show the Ik Bones following the Feet correctly. Then retarget the animation and check that as well to make sure the Ik Bones movement got translated correctly. You can also try Translation Mode Globaly Scaled but that was off for me when I checked the resulting animation.

This process scales up the skeleton which causes all sorts of problems for me
Option 1: Maintain Default Blender Units and Scale in Unreal Engine Leave Blender Units Default: This means keeping the units in Blender set to "None" (default). Model to Unreal Scale: Build your model in Blender with the desired size for Unreal Engine in mind. For instance, if you want an object to be 1 meter tall in Unreal, make it 1 unit tall in Blender. Export with Scale 1: When exporting the FBX from Blender, ensure the scale is set to 1 (default). Option 2: Adjust Blender Units and Model at 1:1 Scale Set Blender Units to Metric: Change the unit scale in Blender's preferences to meters (or centimeters). Adjust Unit Scale: Set the unit scale value to 0.01. This essentially shrinks everything in Blender by a factor of 100. Model at 1:1 Scale: Build your objects in Blender at a 1:1 scale, meaning a 1 meter object in Blender will be 1 meter in Unreal Engine. Export with Scale 1: Similar to option 1, keep the FBX export scale set to 1. Choosing the Right Option: Option 1 is simpler if you're comfortable scaling objects within Unreal Engine. Option 2 offers a more direct approach where you model at the actual size and it translates directly to Unreal Engine. This can be useful if you plan to import many assets and want them to be consistent.
I found solution. In my case the problem wasn't in ue -> blender -> ue skeleton export but in animation import. I mean when you import animation, don't do it right away for your metahuman Skeletal Mesh but for original desired mesh like SK_Manequin and then retarget these animation for your new metahuman skeletal mesh. Hope i helped. Good Luck!
