    all of the metal shavings were stuck to the magnet stuck on the old filter housing, hope you cleaned off the magnet and place it back in the circle indentation on the inside bottom of the trans pan were it belongs. be sure to torque your trans pan bolts to 7-9ft lbs so you dont split the gasket

I stopped this video to see hoe it's supposed to be, they don't build things secure anymore. at 10:48 you can see it to the left of the filter hole, BE CAREFUL there's no warnings in any manual telling a guy the stuff can fall out if bumped

    This won't work you have to go under the car and drop the swaybar loosen the fan shroud to get the top altinator bolt out and reach behind the altinator to remove power cable and connector and a bracket that holds the wires it's not to bad if you've done it before but will takes hours if you don't know what to do

    This guy is a liar. Someone commented on the video being weak and i reacted strongly against that person. First things first, The 14mm idler pulley bolts does not loosen the belt There are 2 bolts under which controls the tension on both belts (alternator and AC) so one must loosen the alternator bolt (not the ider pulley). Very deceptive attempt to get some views and validation by posting lies. #2 - there is no way to remove both alternator bolts holding the positive and negative bolts from the top. Noooo way. The only thing one may do from the top is remove the bolts holding the alternator and the bracket which not the hardest part. One must reach from underneath to remove the negative battery bolt hence cable & even after that, there is another bracket in a tight corner holding on to the alternator with 2 strong hard plastic gromet or rivet & 3 x 7mm bolts. Removing the bolts to drop the alternator is not too hard but if you wanna do things by the book and install the new alternator with this bracket there is gonna be a lot of F words under the vehicle. I completed this job last month. Had to put the car on ramps to work from underneath. Took me almost 4hrs under cursing at this guy lies. Yes he lied and he knows it.

      Yep, I knew it. I can't reach the connectors from the top of the vehicle. I can't squeeze my hand between the space, plus I'll need pliers to take off one of the connectors. There simply is no room. I got the pully wheel off and 2 main screws holding the alternator.😒

      Take the white plastic clip off..pointy nose pliers pinch the green plastic thing on the end protruding a tiny bit..gently squeeze in an pull the black thing towards you..it will slip off the pipework..2nd one is easier..so fucken easy....yet 3 mechanics in town couldn't tell me...guess they don't need my business

    • @MrTravisAl
      @MrTravisAl ปีที่แล้ว

      You have to spread the 2 tabs in the connector from the inside out so the pipe can pass through and the connector fitting around it can pass over and out. I used a 90° pick and hook tool to push the tabs from the inside out. Pushing the tabs won’t work those 2 tab <=| are actually what’s jammed <| against the pipe shoulder. ===| The ends of the tab are stopping the connector ({=| from coming off. ➡️ =| 💫 ({) ) You have to get those tabs pushed from the inside OUT *from < to { * around the pipe end so that that lip =| can slide under and through the tab ends, so that the connector fitting can slide over the pipe end and come off. LONG JOB TURNED SHORT. BREAK EM OFF. These don’t last. replace them with new ones any and every time possible. …..If you want to do it the hard way you can do what I did and use a 90° pick tool ( 4 for $1.99 at Harbor Freight. Under $10 at Walmart or Home Depot) and go behind the connector and have the tip of the pick come from against the fire wall and in between the pipe and connector and push each tab outward, from the inside out. ..they do make special tools where 2 halves of a plastic ring go in between pipes and connectors and as you insert this “collar” it spreads the tabs. But the tools didn’t work for me because the heater core is in the firewall and the pipes coming out are short. No space to slip a tool behind that would be long enough to go from behind to inside the connector all the way to the ends of the tabs. So I say break em off. When you put the new connectors on make sure you push hard. The connector AND the tabs go around the pipe end and the wings of the tabs face back out toward the pipe end and can jam against it. A false “snug” might night mean locked on.
