Hello beautiful people! Wow! I'm so beyond thankful that I've actually got so much support from you guys with my music here on TH-cam!!! THANK YOU! I was honestly very nervous to put my music out here, because I know it's very RARE and UNIQUE. But overtime, I've learned to love that and embrace it. Now it's a strength and not seen as a weakness or something "bad." I think it's so incredible I found people like you who actually have the same taste in liking this type of style music. I've always been open with music as you can tell by how alternative my music style is. But I definitely tend to fall somewhere in the pop category, somewhere, LOL!
Even though I feel like half the people don't read the descriptions anymore, if you're reading this, post in the comments where you're from, I'm just super curious. I know I've seen a lot of Vietnam support which I ABSOLUTELY LOVE, considering the fact that I actually have a quarter percentage of Vietnamese in me! Isn't that so fascinating!?

Anyways, onwards to BACKGROUND/ WHO:
I LOVE THIS SONG SO FREAKIN MUCH! I am SO PROUD of this song.
I got my dad to play the guitar recording you hear, and I just edited it and looped it and played around with special effects to make it sound old timesy and almost like a southern twist. My dad taught me how to play some basics in guitar, and it's always been something we bonded with. So to be here and actually be writing a song with my dad is absolutely MAGICAL to me! I hope he'll be open to making more in the future with me. I feel like he's always kept his guitar talent to himself, and I've always kept my singing and songwriting to myself. But here we are, like 15 years later, making a song together and showing it to the world! I then added some pads and other musical components on top to build up this tension feel which is exactly what I wanted to portray.

Onwards to ABOUT THIS SONG (Meaning):
This song is a very deep song that I feel will resonate with A LOT of people. Whether it's someone you just know as an acquaintance, or someone who is close and very dear to you that it hurts to see them hurting.
In this song, I'm basically stating how I see you're broken, I get it. I've been there. Why won't you listen? How I wish you would do more than listen for your own happiness. You need to "move" and change something if you want things to be better. BUT I don't know about you, I ALWAYS find myself trying to be the hero with my loved ones especially, where I just want FIX things. Fix them. I at least catch myself now, and one of the hardest things I learned to tell myself in these situations is "it's not my problem." As careless as that sounds, you have to know when to walk away and just pray for them from a distance for your own inner peace. In the end, it's not in our control no matter how much it may seem like it could be.
I even have clients where I find myself treating them like family and trying to be the eye opener to them and I just want to help FIX things for them. But sometimes all people need is just for you to listen.

So this song is as you can tell from the release's album cover, it's metaphorically related to I'm out of the MUDDY HOLE, where you are choosing to stay to see the illusions of what you want to see. If only you could see with my eyes. You're broken. I used to be there. But sometimes, we have to just say "I guess I'll let you learn it the hard way" like I did. "I'd hate to leave you stuck in the mud with all this pain." But sometimes, we're doing it to ourselves because we're choosing to settle for something less than what we know we deserve. But we all have to learn these things at our own pace. I know I'm definitely someone who's had to learn a lot of things the hard way. I've just always been wired that way. It sucks LOL, but it makes me stronger.

So in these winter days, when you're feeling down and frustrated with someone but you actually don't feel like listening to uplifting music to snap you out of it and you just need a song to lean on in your sadness: To tell you I get it, you're not alone in this pain, let your ears relax to this song "Broken."
