How Far can a Scooter Go? Go Trax GMAX Ultra GPS RANGE Test
These are solid scooters for the price. Why go nuts? 20 mph is fast enough for a scooter. Buy a bike if you need more mph. We have had these for 2 years trouble free.

Great commentary! Thank you
I’ve been riding a Trek FX For 4 years now. Yesterday the neighbor across the street, had a garage sale and a friend of his put three bikes for sale across the street. One of them was a specialized, crossroads elite, it was barely ridden and about eight years old I would guess. After two days and over two hours of riding it, I like everything that you point out. It’s definitely a keeper.
I do love my Swing
If you don't find yourself going 70mph or more consistently, a diff regear maybe what's next. You'll sacrifice some top speed for some torque on the low end.
Fantastic way the video is made, no BS talking in the sart. Also, terrific way of cutting in and out of talking and being in the forest.
Thanks for the awesome comment.
How does this stack up against the silverwing?
slower but lighter. Storage is about the same. Top speed obviously lower but still fast enough for short highway trips. It was a good bike. Comfort was about the same too.
@@brianrichard1768 thanks for replying. I currently have the Honda ADV 150 and it’s around 66 miles an I’ll run a flat road but if you’re trying to get up a hill it will drop into the low 50s upper 40s and it’s definitely not fast enough for the interstate. The Forza seems like the next step, but I wanna be sure that I get something that could handle 2-3 hours on an interstate if I needed to.
@@joshb-8810 It could do highway for longer periods if your willing to stay in the right lane.
What’s the mileage on the beauty?
sold with 165k
Have you ever tried the $30 amazon spring shock seat posts? If so how do they compare , mines not bad actually
It is a good tool for what your doing fits Job don't go and get a bigger bar it will kill it my friend
I put yak attack outriggers on mine😊
First thing I noticed, nice job chewing at the branch to keep from pinching, I was a professional logger for 30 years until I figured that out, just keeping chewing out pieces never going too far to pinch.
I like mine, Wish I have more mods like you but haven't gotten there . Yet.
Good luck with yours. They are reliable bikes so you got many miles to upgrade.
Tell me more about the Honda not giving full power until after 25mph? I've had 2 of the silverwings and they really are great!
Ya, it's limited on power until you hit 25. If you go full throttle from a dead stop, there will be no wheelspin and you can actually hear and feel when more power comes on after 25 mph. They are great bikes. It's a shame honda got out of the large displacement scooters for the USA market.
brilliant.i recently also bought a meroca handlebar stem and is brilliant too.
i will have to check that out.
@@brianrichard1768 if you have a hard fork bike its worth a go,i only paid 36 pound from aliexpress.
Just bought one today at Wally World for $ 8.88 it is a good pen light
good price
Mine is also a 2002. Love it. 140K miles
Excellent video, probably the best I've seen on the Silverwing. I purchased a slightly used 2006 model in 2008 because my doctor misdiagnosed my lyme disease in 2007 and had me convinced I was going to suffer from arthritis the rest of my life. I could not throw my leg over the seat of my current bike during that period and had lost strength in my grip. The Silverwing was a great bike to allow me to keep riding and I needed that at the time. In late 2009 I finally got properly diagnosed and recovered well. I bought a nice used Goldwing in 2010 and did the Traxxion Suspension and I love it. However, I could not part with the Silverwing. It was just too practical and just too much fun in town, and as you mentioned, longer rides which would happen a lot because the bike is more than capable, and you just want to keep going and get lost on it sometimes. I almost put it up for sale this spring because I will be moving from Massachusetts to Florida, and I need to downsize and get rid of some things. But I realize Florida traffic is not for the weak, and it may not be practical of me to use the Goldwing for around town riding. Your video helped put an end to my thoughts of selling. It's a much safer and practical bike for my situation. I'm feeling it would actually be stupid of me to sell it now so I''ll be going to Florida with two bikes! Thanks!
Awesome for you. Thx for the comment. I really appreciate reading things like this.
My experience is that law enforcement is useless when it comes to this issue. I got attacked by a pit bull last June. The Sheriff told them they had to get a fence. 8 months later the dog is still running loose, chasing people on bikes.
Facts My son's mom had dogs come into her yard MULTIPLE times and kill her livestock. Cops did NOTHING!
that's messed up. Hopefully you recovered ok.
@@brianrichard1768 I didn't get bit but it was only because I deployed my bear spray, twice, right in front of the owner who had no control over the dog. He whined to the Sheriff that a fence would be expensive and I should just use a different road. The Sheriff wanted my name and date of birth so he could run me for warrants. I'll just handle it myself from now on.

They're a great bike in almost every respect, except for the mpg, and the dash which is now looking rather dated. I nearly bought one but eventually decided on the T-Max 500, which was also a great scoot. I've now got the Burgman 400 which has great economy, storage etc. but doesn''t have the power or smoothness of the S Wing or TMax, but it's a compromise and a great scoot in it's own right, being simple and easy to work on, and utterly reliable. Great video, thanks for posting.
fuck German Shepherds, I frickin love dogs but I also have had bad experiences with this breed
That posses me off so bad. Much calmer than I would be. I can’t stand these irresponsible dog owners. I can’t tell you the number of times I have had an owner say. Oh he’s Ok and the dog lunges at me.
What really pisses me off is the owner is usually laughing about it. That is until the pepper spray comes out. I have to deal with this all the time in my area. It seems like every house has a pit bull loose and roaming just looking for something to chase. I don't call the police anymore because they are useless as teats on a boar hog when it comes to loose dogs.
Go ride in the trail water, no worries here, your audience will enjoy it.
Always the same story. Irresponsible owners get large dogs for their own safety and letting their dogs off their leash, never taking into account the safety of others. Glad you are okay.
Thank you, .
Nice.

great vid, would ou say it has enough bass?
ya, for it's size it does.
yamaha 5TP
when i turn my bars to the left fully the throttle gets stuck coz its to short
Hey, what size do you wear? I have brand new in the box with the tags and everything still on them never ever worn
10.5 but I'm not really in market right now for boots. Just bought a pair of wolverine hellcats.
Hi Brian, I am 6'1" and just got a WR250R. Standing is a problem since I cannot stand without leaning forward, which throws my center of gravity off. I was thinking of some taller bars or risers. Looks like your stock bars and the Pro Taper are about the same. Perhaps I could just get the bar risers to get a little more height. So, can you stand up fully on the bike without slumping over?
I also did bar risers. I'm 6' and they helped a lot.
@@brianrichard1768 Thanks for reply. How tall were your risers?
3/4. In the vid at 2:44 @@justsomeguy4941
Hey Brian, can you elaborate on your rod holder? I like to wade fish creeks and don't really like fishing from the kayak so Im looking for more of low-profile rod transport to keep my rod out of branches than a "rod holder" made most for trolling or passive fishing. How did you connect your rod tube and what is the tubing exactly? I just bought an aspire so trying to duplicate what u have. thanks
Any updates on the Ultralight? how's it treating you?
solid boat. well worth the price if your not too heavy.
I turned 66 and bought a 2013 with 3000 miles. I haven't ridden a bike of this caliber in 40 years. I haven't really ridden it much as it is still cold here. There does seem to be an issue starting it. Any thoughts?
I now know about you & your preferences! But I know nothing about the Scooter itself ! Apart from you exploited a poor old man !!!! Not good bud & nothing to be proud of

lol, ya I guess it depends on where your from.
I have one just like this and it is wonderful to ride , rode mine yesterday march 3 2024 here in the Missouri ozarks , bought mine for $2700 had less than a 1000 miles , it’s smooth and easy to maneuver at my age
I sold mine and now I miss it.
I own a Yamaha Stryker, and a Honda Elite 250 1986. The silverwing is a bucket list bike, but not sure if it's the scooter or motorcycle
Def a scooter but with power enough to run with some bikes. ps. Had a stryker myself. Those things do great burnouts. thx for comment.
@@brianrichard1768 HAHA that's so awesome. I haven't learned how to do a burnout yet. That scooter is so cool.
2002 think my cat also giving problems
ya, I can't be mad, it lasted 20 years but they are expensive.
Just go to muffler shop for 300$
Good info as I am looking at one for sale for $3500. I mainly ride dirt and want to make a track at buddy's area.
Thank you just ordered for my fireplace. Sounds like you’re from PA too!
S jersey.
Can the restriction be deleted for a bit more initial bite off the line?
Not that I am aware of.
@brianrichard1768 thx for your swift reply , I had a 2003 silverwing and couldnt fault it really , handling was a bit iffy if pushed but nothin wrong with the drivetrain - a touch more oomph acceleration would have been well received though - sadly I sold her and am now hunting for another good example .
I have an 01 taco, same trim as yours. The only mods I have are rims and led headlight bulbs.
Hi and thanks for the video! One question please- have you had any difficulties switching modes? I cannot use bluetooth anymore ( the screen shows H1 and does not change, I tried pressing everything). It would be super helpful if you could help.
Maybe the button might not be engaging. Did you try pressing real hard and holding? Sorry, I have not had any issues. Still under warranty?
That looks fast
IT IS HEAVY!
How do you like your Serfas RX saddle? I'm looking for healthier or safer options to avoid nerve damage or suppression and that looks an interesting design since it's fully parted in the middle. Thank you.
I like it, not the lightest but the split offers additional flex while still providing good support.
What is your height and weight?
6ft 160
Hi, can you set up master volume on the speaker but control bluetooth volume directly on the phone ?
yes
I am really glad I went with the silverwing. GOING TO PICK THE GIRL UP TOMORROW LFG
I am buying a stock silverwing 2004 600cc next week saturday. This has to be the best video on it for speed terms. I can't wait.
congrats and thanks!
I have a 2005 silverwing 600, don't worry about the speed or acceleration, it's there. 😊
Why can't I play Bluetooth outside only when plugged in
Are you pressing the mode button 1x to get to BT?
Hey they finally made a street legal version like you wished they would ;) xr150L might sell my 150f and buy one lol good vid btw!
thx, ya I saw that on the Honda site. Might have to check it out.
