Since it's gone up, we've been given Petit Game Collection Vol.1 which shows us even more of Ame's internal life Anyways, something that didn't get brought up much, which is fair enough cause you have to kinda look for it, is the commentary about chat, the viewers, the fans. Cause it's not just "chat is a bunch of insane people" Chat are just as parasocial as Ame, Ame is just as parasocial as chat. Also, her fans are like Ame in other ways, they watch KAngel to escape the real world, their lives as.. Hmm.. I probably can't say how Ame refers to them.. Cogs of the machine How bout that? Anyways, chat members don't necessarily have the mental disorders Ame has, though some probably do, but they act the way they do because they can't act that way anywhere else. Ame puts on her KAngel mask and everyone there, including KAngel pretends the real world isn't real for the duration of the stream. As such, they forget that there's a person behind KAngel, and feel free to say the first thing that comes to mind, be that the usual "POGGIES" spam chats do, or calling her a slut, or whatever. They don't expect whoever's behind KAngel to even see what they say because of how many people are in chat, nor for them to care if they do see Ame hates her nerds, but she also loves them and knows exactly why they are the way they are

This game made me really uncomfortable, but not for the reason you would think of. My friends gave me a nickname 'Milky' or 'Moloko' (i'm russian) long ago due to my very pale skin. My father commited suicide when I was 13, although he didn't jump off but hang himself. I struggle with schizophrenia and pills aren't really much of a help for me. Along the way I have cPTSD and Quiet BPD, which inflicts nightmares quite often. I suffer from mild social anxiety, thankfully not to the extent of a main character. And I live in a tower-like building. I had a case of cyberbullying from a close friend. When I discovered the game I was to say the least surprised. I could relate not only to a biography of Milk-chan, but to her personality as well (a bit more confident and less gloomy, maybe). It is, well, a bit unsettling. Scary, even. But the game itself is a lot of fun, so I guess it's like getting a social novel dedicated to you. Funny, I'd say. Haha. Thank you for your review! It was cool, I liked your interpretations! I might disagree on some of them, but they have their right to exist. And the walkthrough saved me some time since I'm not a fan of games usually. Anyway, I hope to see more of your content, so subscribe button is sure to be pressed. :D

Maybe it's because of the way you went through it or some definite changes ( ex: instead of Misao's items being found, it's body parts ), but the story has changed from the original one I remember ^^

Imagine a version of the game where a.m is gud and was made for peace and not war and was built to end the war programmed with every language and every page off of psychological data for negotiations and speech and is named dmc diplomatic master computer and he loves humanity and the 5 people that were originally his victims are his favorite humans and after he ends the war he treats them like royalty

Another great analysis. I like how you point to the culture rather than anyone person being responsible. That’s a great angle. I want to be all positive about it, but I disagree with one thing. Tohma is not a bystander. He is a bully. He does not deserve what happens to him, but he is a bully. - He actively asked Misao to be his girlfriend - Then he chose to showed the text to another girl (a violation of privacy and trust) - Then he decided to laugh about it later while cheating with the same girl he thinks humiliated his girlfriend Tohma became a bully because everyone else was doing it. He wanted to be with the crowd, he was scared to be alone, and was just focused on himself. That is why he chose to save himself over his girlfriend and didn’t want to be alone in the bathroom. Bullying this girl was the cool thing to do so Tohma wanted in on it. Tohma has a character arch so by the end of the game - he isn’t scared to die. But as we learn in Truth: he only became a follower to Misao and not his own person- he still has a long way to go. Regardless, just because he is given more time for a character arch - he should be considered one of the bullies for his active participation in violating his love interest’s trust in multiple ways and laughing about it. This goes beyond the bystander effect into active bullying. Anyways, that’s the only thing of note. Another great analysis.

I always loved this game. I still play it from time to time.

I feel like the choices for the remaining five humans are extremely deliberate. They're ment for the maximum suffering for the humans and the best "entertainment" of AM. Why have five humans who could realistically get along when you could have pacifist and a war criminal or a sa victim and a misogynist I also have a personal head cannon that AM made sure that they could all speak the same language. Sure you could say it's for narrative purposes but I like to see it this way: Why wait years for the humans to figure out each other's languages? They can't talk, they can't argue, they can't insult each other. How dreadfully boring.

The truth is twisted. I can only guess at it. 26:29 Kurata doesn’t care about his students. We know he killed 2 of them. He would not sacrifice himself for the boy. - Tohma lost all his friends and feels like a coward. I also think he has been 😬 for who knows how long by Library when in her bed. There is a lot of symbolism around the monsters and the way each character dies. 7:05 Green hair died on stage because his friendship was performative. He stood up for the boy but not his friend 11:06 Yoshino was murdered by the boy with the scalpel. That is why he is stained in blood - He cut open the bear and went inside… 🫢 - Twisted. I can’t say what I think happened because it is too dark 😬 Different guess: Yoshino is gay - Yoshino cares about Misao’s love life and announced it - that boy probably went online calling Yoshino gay - Yoshino forced Misao on a date with her (your treat) - the bathroom- Yoshino wasn’t jealous of the boy.
