@@jaredharris1940 Thank you, Jared! That one’s ALL 70’s Moog! …well except for the drum machine 😊
Finally found the best video on the internet
Wow, you totally made my day - thanks - glad you loved it!!
@@electro-classicorchestra1585 a Bach fugue, synths, old sci-fi clips and humour. Doesn't get much better. Thank you!
@@mpjmz I’m one of the very few who love Battlestar Galactica 1980 😊
Thoroughly enjoyed your album! If you ever want to collaborate on some music. Let me know!
Thank you, and I’d like to collab some time for sure. I just finished Beethoven’s Fifth and have a rough sketch of Bach’s Fantasy and Fugue in C minor going on right now…
@@electro-classicorchestra1585 Just let me know. Totally game. I'm kind of between projects right now. So, I'm twiddling my thumbs in the studio these days. 😆
@@electro-classicorchestra1585 I love how the Poly-61 ascends to heaven by the way. 🤣
😂😂😂
Nice Tempest footage. I used to play it on my Vectrex quite a lot. The music is very nice as well. Great choice of sounds!
Thanks Wiegraf, I’m glad you enjoyed the music (and the Tempest footage)! 😊
Here is another version of Air in the style of Wendy Carlos performed by James Pinder.... there are many more pieces of synthesized Bach on my carefully compiled playlist called Switched on Bach synth : th-cam.com/video/c6GvMCTmyOc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=fpEWcb56_XgaNJuO. Here is another that compares Bach's Air and Procol Harum's WSOP.... pretty original ! th-cam.com/video/_tHwWseUgx4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=SWYZruiy_m5qFLS6
This is great work 😺👍 This SC Rev 2 synth sounds fantastic, really a nice show case of its capability on this piece I hope all is well Take care!
Thank you, Soundscape, I’m glad you enjoyed it! If I could only keep one synth, it would definitely be the REV2!!😊
Hello! Very well done! Interested in some more Bach experiments? Then you might listen to this: th-cam.com/video/oGT5EC1hRlM/w-d-xo.html
That's good stuff!! Thanks.
Thank YOU!
A feast for a synth nerd and Bach fan like me. Visually top-notch as well. Gonna binge-watch your channel now.
@@RayyMusik Thank you, Rayy! I look forward to hearing what your favorite one is!!
Magnificent synthesiser arrangement and instrumentation. Simply glorious! 😊😊
@@hafstrat Thank you so much, I’m glad you enjoyed it!!
look... an re- release from Switched-On Bach *ggg*
Indeed!

Wendy Carlos would be proud. I love this
Thank you, Dom! My greatest wish is that Wendy could hear my tracks and approve. 😊
This is amazing
Thank you, Summer!

@@Bata9999 Thank you!!
Do you listen to Tomita?
Absolutely I do.
if johhan would have a try on the good oboerheim.....our lives would be different.. :)
@@Flimpy74 Yes!! Can you imagine?
Please never stop making these recordings. You are incredible.
Aww, thank you Joey. It’s been a rough few weeks and I really needed to hear that!
The patch synth sound moved away, and recently completely moved back in. Classical music did exactly the same thing. They dance together on their return here, and this is no homage to Wendy Carlos, its a cycle that repeats.
Thank you, Turner, what a wonderful comment! Thanks for listening 😊
Your short intro sound is like Logan's Run.
That’s because I ripped it from the actual movie 😊
amazing work and presentation
Thank you so much - glad you enjoyed it!!
Your visual and musical creativity are really astonishing!
Thank you!!!!!
You did the bird's eyes! And you gave them some hang time! I always feel that the piece loses so much when these are just given a mere "bip" and the performer moves on.
@@ChainsawCoffee Thank you, Chainsaw! Yes, the piece is very dramatic; the emotion should be savored!!! 😊
Can I come over and play Tempest?
Hey, I’m glad you recognized Tempest! Used to love playing it back in the day 😊
A nifty take on Switched On Bach.
Thank you, Longwing!!
BRAVO! I sometimes wish that Carlos was still performing, but the torch is carried, and that torch is a flamethrower!! (I hold that all new synth equipment releases should feature Sinfonia to Cantata No. 29 as a demonstration)
Thank you, Chainsaw! This is the most awesome compliment I could hope to receive. Cheers, mate!!
Fantastic!
Glad you like it!
nooo, my god...what are you doing to this poor Korg Poly 61???? Its a vintage synth for gods sake!!!
Haha - I bought it off eBay for $100 as a parts-only model, and it was in terrible shape inside and out - way beyond repair. It looked like someone had poured acid on the circuit board. It wouldn't even stay together. We had to drill screws into it to hold it together while I "played" it in the video because it kept coming apart!
@@electro-classicorchestra1585 my condolences, at least he died honorably, donating organs and meeting his maker with flying colors! Rest in peace
His final act was in the making of Art. That’s how I want to go when my time comes 😊
@@electro-classicorchestra1585 man when will u do Badinerie???please... and...maybe bit less of an attack on those vcas...im drunk, im smarrtassing
@@Flimpy74😂😂 Next album is Beethoven, Mozart, Bernstein, etc. I’m off Bach for the next few months I’m afraid 😢
This was so amazing and artistic!
Thank you Shy, my loyal fan! ❤️
I listened to the entire album this afternoon and loved it! If Bach were alive today you know he’d be all over synthesizers!❤❤❤
Thank you, Evil, and I agree! On most of his manuscripts he didn’t specify what instrument. They were written for any and all instruments that could play them!!
Absolutely fantastic! What a lovely interpretation! SUPER like 11 👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you, Alexander! 😊
@@electro-classicorchestra1585 Always my pleasure!
Viewer discretion advised. Contains scenes of gratuitous keyboard violence 😂
😂😂😂 The Poly-61 was non-functioning and beyond repair, so it was essentially already dead 😊

Thanks for this stirring performance. Fantastic!
I’m glad you enjoyed it, Karl! ❤
What is that font at the end "unacceptable alter interrogation?" and what is that quote from?
Hey there, thanks for watching! The font is Huit Medium. I purchased it for $70 and installed it on my computer, and use it in my videos. It’s the same font used in the movie “Logan’s Run”, which are the scenes you are seeing here. It’s one of my all-time favorite films!

Muchísimas gracias, mi amigo!
Tribute to Bach or Wendy Carlos? They've both certainly left their marks
Both, definitely!
This is excellent man, MUCH APPRECIATED AND LOVED - From Houston
Hey, and thanks Smoky, glad you enjoyed it! Stay cool down there in Houston!!
You've done it again! You completely captured this piece's essence instrumentally. I'm 59, but when I grow up I want to be like you! Have you listened to Larry Fast yet (Synergy)? I believe he would embrace what you are doing as a "Next Generation" of what he pioneered in the 70s. I don't mean to call your work derivative (not at all), but to compare you the evolution (transfiguration) of someone who I saw as a genius and ahead of his time. I pray that you will continue to be inspired to create in this manner. Thank you so much for giving this piece, "Komm, süßer Tod", a new life!
@@johnhawranick8097 Thank you, John for your awesome comments and encouragement! I am listening to the 1975 album Synergy right now and am completely blown away by the exquisite compositions and tones! I just added that and all his pre-1982 albums to my iMusic library. I will be listening to NOTHING ELSE for the next several days!!! I will then explore his later works… Thanks for introducing me to Larry!

MAJESTIC. I also own a REV 2, it is an amazing analog poly.
Thanks, Steve, glad you liked it! Yeah, the REV2 is Dave Smith’s masterpiece in my opinion.
really great work and performance ! thank you very much 🙂🙏
Thank YOU for listening! I had a lot of fun doing this one 😊
Enjoy these videos Looking forward to the next one
Thanks Phuzzy!
Neato
Neato??? Thank you for that groovy compliment 😂
I appreciate the simple, grounded videography. Too many of the synthesizer channels accompany their music with surreal, psychedelic abstractions these days.
Thank you, Nick, glad you liked it!!
Thanks for this, E-C O, I really liked it - and all from one synth, too! Sensitively and sympathetically arranged, produced and executed. Great.
Thank you Karl! One of Bach’s most sublime compositions for sure!
