2004 Ford Taurus 24 valve Duratec AC Bypass
This project took longer to get to than it did to complete it! Today, we got the AC bypass finished for our 2004 Ford Taurus Duratec v6 engine. This includes a replacement pulley that you can use to swap out for the A/C compressor. It's a bit longer than our normal, as we show you a bit of the struggle in this one.

Temporary windshield fix
มุมมอง 31วันที่ผ่านมา
Today, we give a temporary fix to the windshield of the 1999 Buick Century. This isn't a fix we'd recommend driving around with. This is a fix to get you home. Something designed to keep water out until the windshield is replaced. We also talk about our plans to turn this particular vehicle into a Lemons racer. We are not sponsored at all by anyone. Which (if any) of these Replacement Master Cylinders will work best for my 1999 KIA Sportage?
มุมมอง 19หลายเดือนก่อน
This week, I'm trying them all! I've gotten a few suggestions for alternate Master Cylinders, so I'm testing several to see if they'll even fit on my 1999 KIA Sportage. I measure each one against the original KIA Sportage Master Cylinder. Then I disassemble the old KIA Sportage Master Cylinder to see where it failed and how it works. 99 KIA Sportage Brake Booster Tested Good! Now What? #kiasportage #automobile

This is turning into one of those minor projects that takes all the detours. We first open the Brake Booster and find out the new one is broken. So we try and old trick on the Master Cylinder. But that didn't work. So, now we have a master cylinder, (apparently the last one that company made) but no tank and we can't bleed it like old Master Cylinders. Great... In other news, the audio is weird...

Great video, was wondering if it was possible to play music on the Lexus os in the background while using the android auto app for maps
Lou here. Great question! Well, since the android box operates on the "Aux" connection for audio, all you really have to do is keep the audio channel selected on whatever you want to listen to. The map screen will stay up as you jam away to FM radio or whatever. It just won't audibly give you directions.
Just bought my first Reatta! Really enjoying going around learning with these videos. So thanks! 😁
You're welcome! I'm glad they're helping.
the coil on my 97 is father back on the engine hard to reach. mine is a 4.2
I have heard before that the older version of this v6 is much more problematic to work on. Hope the repair went well
Where did you purchase the kit ?
They were purchased from Amazon. This isn't the exact product but it's something similar: a.co/d/0v8Xu25
The master did not fit the Sunfire either.
I did the same 4 years ago!
I'm seeing mixed reviews on this. How did it end up working long term? I'm more interested in their fuel system cleaner but I'm a bit skeptical
Lou here, The fuel system cleaner seemed to do well. The CRO 505 oil additive did something, but it wasn't a miracle in a bottle. It won't repair damaged parts, of course. It did seem to give the engine a little more power, but as you can see from the oil drained out in the video, there's not a huge difference from when it started to the end of it.
Do you know how to install a rearview camera on a Scion xd?
You didn't add the hairloss fairy.

Those look nice but i they seem brighter than the regular break lights. Btw what fog lights did you install? Ive been looking for the OEM Fog lights for the Xd for a long time now but itvseems to be a myth.
They may look brighter than the regular brake lights as you're looking directly at the LED chips whereas the brake lights are deep within the light housing and you're only seeing the light bounce off the reflective surfaces. The fog lights are meant to be more daytime running lights than anything but I did wire them up to a toggle switch inside. They do have the benefit of illuminating the side of the road at night kinda like those old timey cornering lights that some cars used to have. They're the iJMDTOY 7 inch universal fit daytime running light bars that you can buy on Amazon. Make sure you seal where the lens meets the aluminum housing with clear silicone or something if you use those though, otherwise they're bright and look great! Hope that helps! ~Kit
I have a 1995 Buick Regal Gran Sport 4dr sedan. I love it and it is exceptionally comfortable. I will be following along. It only has 33,000 miles on it.
The cooler has to have wifi for the app to work, but if it has wifi it will tell your phone everything, including when ice is ready, any time your phone has cell signal. I kept getting random messages that ice was ready while working.
What kind of Bluetooth radio would you recommend for this car I also have an xD
After removal of the old lights, it is easy to install the headlight then install the turn signal light last.
I hope it's a 24mm socket like you said in the video, just ordered one on Amazon. I didn't have one to fit.
Dang horny insects are loud. And that's natural camouflage
I've been looking at reviews of this product after watching Scotty Kilmer's revirew, and and gotten mixed reviews. Scotty says he's not endorsed by this product, but he DOES say Bernie, the maker of this product, is his friend. I just ordered this online yesterday, but now I'm feeling apprehensive. I'll still use it, of course, bit I'm no longer expecting much. Thanks for the honest review, bud!
Glad you found it helpful. We're still in the process of testing other products.
Good lord, those bugs are SCREAMING!
Hey these look great and ima use this video to try n paint mine today!
Thank you and hope yours turn out great.
Do you ever get strong winds and if so how did it handle it? Are the poles plastic or metal?
The poles are metal. We don't get extreme wind gusts here, how we handle it is just checking on the shelter every once in a while, making sure the weights are still on the poles, making sure none of the tie downs pulled out, that sort of thing.
@@KrazyKarlProjects what is the average speed of the wind gusts that you get there. The other day I think they were around 50km/h here
@@AL-ru3nk We get gusts like that. We have had guests over 100 km/h without damage to it. It is well tied down and sheltered by buildings to the east and west of it as well as a large tree next to it
@@KrazyKarlProjects oh ok well mine is in the open on 3 sides so i guess thats why it gets affected by high wind gusts. We dont get strong gusts that often and its been ok until last saturday when it almost fell over. Now I worry all the time. I will remove the bungee cords and replace with ratchet straps. That might help
@@AL-ru3nk Sturdy anchors are important on how well it will hold up. I have also had to add additional cordage to reinforce one of these from a different manufacturer in an open area in the past. Locking together all the sections with it and using bamboo rods to better brace the canvas from underneath and a few runs of paracord tight over the top of the canvas to help secure it. That worked well to hold it together against strong winds, but the canvas started failing after a couple years. It survived near hurricane force winds though. It was anchored to the ground securely at each pole and at the center point between each pole
Nice! Thank you for sharing. May get one soon.
At least it doesn't overheat now.

Quite a bit of bullet holes I wonder if any of them are 45.
Yeah... the speed limits in Indiana are weird. A fellow Hoosier myself, the speed limit could be 45 in the city and 20 in the middle of nowhere. I question if the person or people who decided the speed limits were sober or not

The Southern Baptist convention was also going on at the time of the meeting, and I blended right in with the Southern Baptist preachers in my blue suit.
Nice video. I recently replaced the front to rear 3/16 inch brake line on a 2001 Dakota. I bought a metric as well as SAE tube nut gauge set to verify tube nut sizes, a bubble flare tool, tube bender and AGS copper nickel tube. I had to heat both tube nuts with a propane torch to get them loose. The copper nickel tube is not supposed to be magnetic.
Thank you for watching. I'm pretty sure companies make up their own sizes for fittings sometimes just to mess with mechanics. Nickle is magnetic, but in most copper nickel alloys there is enough copper in it that it works as a field dampener. It must have a high nickel content if it is magnetic. Which is not generally ideal.
Im doing a head gasket replacement on my 04 STI, got a misfire on cylinder 1. This is helping me out to much. I’ve watched this video and part 2 a few times and thank you for this video.
I am glad it is helping. I wish you the best on your project.
You're not a mechanic at all are you?
So right loosens the blade
Excellent video. I have a 2007 Yaris that has this problem. Mechanics checked my car for rain water entering through various places, checked the black rubber hose was clear and did many other things. What they missed was the step you did with the gold colored trimmer cord pushing it up in to the reservoir to clean that part. I did excactly what you did and fixed it. Thanks so much for posting this video in what is a difficult place to film. Im an Aussie in Sydney Australia.
I'm glad it helped! It's something I had missed on a Jeep before. On up towards the air conditioner where the line connects to the AC components clogged instead of just the line.
Both of my hubs were busted up inside. Putting manual hubs.
Manual hubs are a good fix. I recommend getting better grease for the new hubs bearings then what is included with them. Mine are already chewed up form the included grease not holding up a year.
It is great having the land yacht back on the road!
Shouldn’t you disconnect the spark plug boot first? Thanks for the vid.<
Where did you buy them? TIA
This is where Kit got them from: a.co/d/0sJPbDD He says: "Make sure to add extra water proofing like clear silicone around the sides where the lens meets the backplate and where the wires come out of the back. Things like this are never waterproofed well and the last thing you want to do is replace them in a year after they've filled with condensation." Hope that helps! 😄

You WILL believe a Buick Century can race.
It's going to be a task, to put it mildly. I lack the words to put out how much that phrase resonates with me. Being the only '99 Sportage user/fixer myself, with some years of experience driving, but not much knowledge about the mechanics of this kind of vehicle I get a sense of what "a task" must be comprised of.
The hardline replacement is likely to be aggravating, but over all it has proven to be fairly easy to work on.
