Hello from Canada, not sure where you lived, I live in Georgetown, Ontario. I lived near a Zellers also and spent lots of crafting money there. They no longer exist it's all WalMart now. Your advice on crafting is perfect - start small and then advance. I do multiple crafts too, it can get overwhelming. Happy crocheting your afghans are beautiful!!!

That's a good looking cake Davina. I'm so hot, 40C today and so dry without any cool change on the horizon. I'm living like a troglodyte (cave dweller) with blinds pulled down and curtains shut to keep the heat off the windows - I don't like it The cat is sleeping under the bed - don't blame her. Great Grandmother was an avid crocheter. I found a granny square project she had been working on at one time. It was made of black squares, with beautiful colour yarns in the centre of each square. I have been saving my scraps to make such a blanket. I think I have been a multi crafter since I was about 10. It makes my heart happy. It is a joy to watch others who delight in their crafts as well. ❤

Davina I think the bright colour way is better than the pastel. I'd take out that dark blue and change that to the bright pink, then you'll be happier. The pastel colour way is lovely but not with that crochet stitch. Pastel colours seem better with more of an open or lacey stitch in my opinion. X

There's nothing wrong with going to the same yarn show. I go to Wonderwool every year. I also agree that filming for your vlog can be a bit unfair on the people you are with plus you are always thinking about what to film which detracts from just enjoying your day. Public transport leaves a lot to be desired. I once took my car for it's MOT, Martyn gave me a lift home before heading into work which was great but when I got inside the house I realised I was still holding the car key!

Hi Davina, I did laugh when you said you and Mishka caved in and are going to the show again - you know resistance is futile when it comes to wool shows! You always work so hard to get footage for your channel but I also think it will be good for you both to enjoy the show without filming so have a fantastic time and it will be fun to see what you bring back with you. I haven't heard of the Linda cross stitch fabric, it will be interesting to know what you think of it. Your cardi is fabulous and it's not surprising that you are always asked about it. I’m not surprised you get lots of comments about your cardigan it’s gorgeous I love that shade of green I prefer the pastel colours but I like pastels or naturals generally we’re all different so I would go with what you prefer as it’s your blanket though I don’t like the dark blue it doesn’t seem to fit nice video 😊
